[Q] ParanoidAndroid to stock GB rom? - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

History of my Galaxy Note N7000:
installed a pre-rooted, stock GingerBread rom via Odin from dr.Ketan's thread
[ROM][Stock] N7000XXLB1 [02.02.2012][Android 2.3.6]
installed CyanogenMod 10.1
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1796217
installed "Abyss Kernel for GB ONLY"
[AbyssNotekernel42RedTouchCustomLogo.zip]
next, installed Team Asylum CM10.1 Naughties™
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2051904
Question:
Can I flash [AOSPA 4.2.2] PARANOIDANDROID 3.5 (May 14) HALOALPHA directly on the Asylum Rom?
As Asylum was installed on stock GingerBread, shouldn't a stock JB/ICS rom be installed before installing ParanoidAndroid?
Bit comfused, sorry for the n00b question.

Actually I could. Thread can be closed

[Q] How to flash custom roms (AOKP) in JV1 build?

Hi,
I am currently on the leaked gb build 2.3.2 and my build number is XXJV1. I saw that there is no CWM recovery for the current build so how can i install roms like AOKP in my i9000 without CWM?
Thanks

[Q][Semaphore Kernel JB 2.3.0][AOKP JB Build 3]

Hi,
My two i9000 are running fast and stable with aokp jb build 3 and semaphore jb 2.1.2.
I read that Semaphore 2.2.0 and newer works on ROMs with the new CM10 partition layout (CM10 20120926 or later).
I would like to install the very last semaphore 2.3.0 based on the latest linux 3.0.45 which is event faster but don't want to wipe/flash aokp roms every sunday.
So my questions are :
1) does aokp jb also handles the new CM10 partition layout ?
2) may I flash semaphore jb 2.3.0 with aokp jb build 3 (which is not CM10 as far as I know) ?
Thank you for your replies and sorry for my poor english.

Jb:cm10:hybrid paranoidandroid

hi, i am a bit confused on how to flash this rom , some posts contradict them selves, im currently on rocket rom v7 (speedmod kernel).
do i have to downgrade to a rooted gingerbread rom , then flash cm9, then flash JB:CM10:HYBRID] PARANOIDANDROID, or can i just flash
JB:CM10:HYBRID] PARANOIDANDROID rom from clock work recovery on rocket rom v7 as it is a safe kernel .. thanks:good:
yes you can flash it directly on this rom, speedmod is a safe kernel.

very nice! ty!
Somewhat misleading. I think JellyBam and MIUI are JB not ICS. Sorry but I'm confused of what you mean by 'ICS based' here.
Are you sure that jellybam 3.1.0 rom is for new bootloader?
sorry but jellybam 3.1.0 is for Galaxy S II and is JB not ICS :good:
Thanks,
the list and the updates are very welcome. i would also note that the AIO tool kit is at version 2. .. i think.
i'll drop in here every now and again to see whats new. so i think this is a useful post.
Thanks Rockyy

Nice idea, can be very useful to collect the list on one place to show all the options
Hm Jellybam.. something went wrong there
about the title... it was meant because all roms are based on V30A release.. and thats ICS. But i updated the title for JB - i guess a list for GB isn't necessary becase most of the roms are also not supported anymore.
hope its better right now
Many thanks!!!
