The issue is the international will get it first. And while sprint will most likely recieve it before any other US carrier, we will still be raging jealous of the international guys.
Sent from my HTCONE using xda app-developers app
Yeah I wonder if it's going to be released to Sprint, and then they will take their sweet ass time loading their crapon on it.
Sent from my HTCONE using xda app-developers app
It doesn't matter who gets it first. The international One is so close to the Sprint One that we can have it running in a matter of minutes.

Semi correct. If it changes too much it will actually break features, and 4.2 is a large change so itll definitely be a minute

Not with the project I've been working on. The port should be fairly simple. A minute was an exaggeration, but you get the idea.

I hope it works out. From my experience its never that easy. Hope youve got something great up your sleeve

Wonder if 4.3 or Keylime will somehow implement native use of the IR blaster.

Yes, yes, and yes. Buttery smooth performance with unbelievable battery life, plus Ktweaker tweaks that you can just download from their site and just restore in ktweaker the teams personal settings that are great, all sorts of fun to mess around with.

No need to assume. Ktoonsez is amazing and will make the phone roughly 2-3 times better than originally is well its been that way on the siii for sure.

This really just shows that they're making huge progress on getting the update ready. I'll wait for the official in about a month.

Very true. But then again the so-called "carrier testing" seems to make up for all the speedy initial builds.

I know that this is an older thread, and that I'm kind of dragging up the dead, but... Was there ever any progress on getting this ROM ported over to the m7spr (or something comparable?) Last I heard, someone was working on it, but then it kind of died down... I really liked the look of this one.

Agreed. The phone looks nice but I think the S4 is still better. I had a Nexus device once and it was ok. But the rom options are basically all variations of aosp/cm. It's nice having the option of TW as well.

The removable battery I could take or leave. I would've agreed with you about the SD card situation until recently, when I realized that I was using less than half of my card. I've also recently uploaded all of my music to Google Music, so my local storage needs are basically limited to photos and videos that I take with the phone. Even THAT isn't really a big deal anymore since it's all uploaded to Dropbox anyway.
Either way though, I'm willing to make the tradeoff at this point.

Good points all around.
I'm not up for an upgrade. It definitely is tempting. And I guess it would only be about $100 after selling the S4.
Just don't know if it's worth it. I can see where you're coming from after the issues you had yesterday.

Here's an Android Police article regarding this: http://www.androidpolice.com/2014/02/12/samsung-releases-kitkat-kernel-source-for-sprint-galaxy-s4/
Pretty exited about it myself! The build will be coming soon.

How long do you think itll be until we get the official update?
Sent from my SPH-L720 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
From the AP article: "Historically, once source code is made available, official OTA updates follow in reasonably short order." So, whilst no timing was given we can assume that it'll be on our devices real soon. Sprint is always the first with these updates.

Yes source please. Although tomorrow would be great for me (expecting big snow storm) I have a feeling sprint will do the traditional 2 to 4 week rollout and I'll have to get the update from xda. Let's just hope sprint doesn't tell us the update is for the Spark edition and not the original.

Its not for spark. If it was it would say SPH-L720T but it says SPH-L720 on the source file for the kernel.
