I think this Adaptor on Ebay must work - it is for Iphone, but the 3.5 audio connector is compatible with the HD2.
Alternat you can look on this site: http://www.kvconnection.com/iPhone-3-5mm-4-Pole-Adapters-s/7883.htm
hum...didn't find that adapter cable myself..great find!

Man, I would love to hear back from anybody who succesfully used an external microphone, or somekind of line input option, to record on the HD2. Either using the above suggestions or others...

Hi All,
Yesterday I lost my HTC HD2 default headphone and now i'm seeking for good not so expensive in-ear headphone with mic.
Price better to <50 or =<30
Thanks for your advance and suggestions.
P.S I don't like default HTC HD2's default headphone because they are painful when using for a while and not comfortable for running.
Have you considered iFrogz EarPollution plugz? They are not very loud but have decent sound.

WOW prices are high, headphone with mic models are starting from 40$ what product do you have from this brand?
did you look at somewhere like expansys? i'm pretty sure they do a 3.5mm male to 3.5mm female cable with a mic build in. Then you can buy any headphones you like.
Something like this: http://www.expansys.com/htc-hd2-aud...h-stereo-headset-htc-logo-retail-pack-188904/

No i haven't used one but i'd hope it works properly because it's a htc branded device certified for the leo and As far as i can tell it's the same as the one for the touch hd.

i got the superFi. 5 pros, they are not on the list anymore.. but were the second best universals >.<! just have them without the mic. i dont need that
i just love the quality of ultimate ears, its so awsome..
soon im ordering my customs UE 18 pro )))
im a stupid audiophile u know >.<
I m using a combination for this. Earphone form Creative EP630/830, an OLD XDA II volume controller & the normal 3.5 jack. It is much better as i can control the volume, can change the next song or FM channel by Red call dissconnect button, play/pause and receive call by green button. So its become very handy no need to pull out the phone. also EP630/830 delivers very good base at $8 only.

There are two types with and without mic. I've got one with mic. It cost 15 euros 7 months ago, but i think there was some kind of discount.
I know this link is a british shop but these are the headphones i have : http://www.play.com/Mobiles/Mobile/...hone-3G-3GS/Product.html?ptsl=1&ob=Price&fb=0
They are great if you are on a budget and although they say they are for the iphone they work perfectly well on the hd2. The sound quality is great and the button on them functions to answer/hangup a call and also it functions as a play/pause button fo the htc music tab.
Sennheiser produce excellent quality stereo in ear handsets with inline control and Mic. They are in the upper price range though
But if you're stuck with little options as I was yesterday the Apple iPhone ones work if you don't mind putting up with sub par quality
The inline control doesn't work with my HD2
Sent from my HTC HD2 Droid using XDA App
Are there any
Suggestion In-Ear Headphone with MIC & VOLUME CONTROL
Please

Could you tell us if all buttons (hang, paly pause next...) and volume control are working with HD2 ?
Is it for the Zaggsmartbuds ?
Thanks
If you're handy with a soldering iron you could mod your own.

I put cheap £12 Skullcandy on my HD2 headset and it works great! In-built mic works, play/pause & track skip works too.
ultimatears, then etymotic.
so i did some digging and cannot seem to find if the 3.5mm has the ability to do video out. the backseat babysitter has a broken dvd player, an incident with some random loose coins, but still works through the composite jacks. i would be nice to slap some videos on there and keep the critters entertained, vacation season is coming up soon.
That's cos it doesn't
thanks it was worth a shot.
you could get an iPad seatback holder and use a 3.5mm to composite/3.5/bt/or whatever cable and play movies like that. Most backseat babysitters don't have screens much bigger than the NC.

The headphone jack.
For example, IPod Video has composite out from headphone jack where you can output video signal through that.
My suggestion would be to buy a old Ipod Video 5G and push video through its headphone jack? (maybe get one with bad LCD? 30GB version may be pretty cheap).
I don't think Nook Color does video output through 3.5mm.
isn't it possible to make an app which captures the screen, encodes it to a composite video signal en send that like an audio signal to the 3.5 mm jack?

That would be nice, but unfortunately is not possible.
The hardware needs to support this function.
My phone, the myTouch 4G Slide, has video out capability through the headphones jack, using a 4 pole 3.5mm connection. (ipod/zune video cable)
If what you are asking was possible, every device capable of playing media with a headphones jack would be capable of video.
Unless I missed something in the teardown...but we'd have heard something about this before now if it was possible with all the development around this device.
You're welcome to try to write an app that would do this, I posted the tv-out apk for my phone in my phone's subforum here at xda for another member that lost theirs for their phone. Would make a good place to start, but I think you'll realize pretty quickly it's not going to work out.
Sorry if this the wrong place to ask this question, but as the title says, my Apple earphones aren't clear on my s1. Plz don't say just buy beats or other earphones because the Apple ones are the most comfortable to me. When I use the apple earphones the sound quality is a bit weird, while other earphones work fine. If there is anyway to fix this problem I will be glad to hear.
Thanks.

Try this thing, while playing music, press and hold answer button on your headset, sound should become clear.
This is a well known hardware problem, it's that apple and samsung manufacture headphones jacks using different connection layout. That way headset mics do not work properly by different manufacturer. Usually, when you buying headset, it defines "iphone, htc compatible" or "samsung, nokia compatible" (not sure about specific phone manufacturer). I also have one philips headset which came with simple 3.5 female to 3.5 male adapter, to work with both connection types.
Moreover SGS1 has tv-out through the same headphones jack, this way it's more messed up, and even the sound does not work properly.
I guess your only option would be buying some adapter, seen several on ebay, specifically designed for sgs1, but I could not tell whether they do what it says.

Has anyone ever managed to get one of these to work?
I bought one years ago and tried to get it to work with a very clunky old phone - no luck. I've since lost it somewhere, but am wondering if it might be useful to make up for the lack of ir blaster
Anyone have any experience with these things?

Try using zazaremote: open app, configure a remote, there will be a message at the top of the screen saying there's to IR hardware detected - AT THAT POINT you plug in your 3.5mm IR and it should ask you if that's an IR you plugged, say yes... adjust the audio volume to 100% and try it.
Also you need to rotate some of them otherwise there is no contact, this is done so you can keep it plugged into your phone and still have audio through speakers / BT as if it's unplugged...
Please try that I'm waiting to hear if it works for you!

Hope it does. I'm pretty sure I will have lost the one I bought a couple of years back, but I'll have a dig about in my box of phone bits and will report back if I have anything to tell you
Edit:
I was surprised to find it fairly easily. Doesn't seem to work based on a quick check, but I'll fiddle with it and let you know if I have a breakthrough
Actually, these won't work (right)
They will but maybe with complete darkness lol
The trick is to have max volume but you really need an amplifier inbetween your audio jack and this product to have any significant range, I made one myself with a ln386 chip, one end plugs into the USB port and the other end to the audio jack, what it does it turn a led on/off through an app that's basically a soundboard with IR codes

Lumme! Sounds a lot more involved than I'd hoped. Think I'll stick to using the remote control!
Haven't had any luck using a similar product... Looking at the LED through another phone camera it doesn't appear to light up when pressing any function....

U can buy Mi band 4 which supports NFC
Apparently the functionality is limited to some Chinese transit systems and such like - not available or particularly useful outside China so far as I've understood
