[Q] My Play Sore Not Working

I flashed a new ROM a few days ago and also gapps. Now all of a sudden when i try to install an app it says "Unfortuanetly android.process.media has stopped working" and my download fails due to the error of 491. I can only install apps from the internet becuase the app is already downloaded and i just need to install it but i cant install apps from the browser version of google play. anyone know how to fix this? plz answer.

Have you tried to delete your current play store app and re-download it through their website?
Also, when asking question like this, it helps to mention what exactly you flashed and the mods you did.

[Q] [CM10][erezak build] Play Store Issue

Good Evening guys, did anyone successfully installing CM10 4.1.2 build by Erazak? My Play Store stop working since i installed it, and my wifi connection seems not really stable,anyone else experiencing this issue in the latest Erazak build? build number 18 November 2012.

you may want to elaborate on the "stop working" part.
Did it launch at all? Or launched then crashed.
Or it gives out error message, what is error message.
Or it can't find apps you want?
Did you flash gapps? have you tried re-flashing gapps?

nope, it's not launching at all. i tried do download the play store from Android Central site, and install it. then when i press the icon, i launch, but then it's closed it self without any error message. well, i'll try to flash the gapps first thanks !

you don't install play store from anywhere except from gapps.
And it is part of the installation steps, it may say optional, but without gapps that is what you are missing.

[Q] Play store is not working on CyanogenMod 10.1 on Nook HD+

I just installed CyanogenMod 10.1 on my Nook HD+ by following the instructions for dummies thread. Yes, I did install the gapps for jb. And I installed the play store apk from android police v 4.5. But upon installing the apk, I got a message that said CyanogenMod account crashed and then I got another message that said gapps crashed. I said okay to both messages like it was no problem at all. I load up play store and I get "No Connection" Retry. I did it several times, but no luck. I tried to clear data on it too. Does anybody have any idea on what could be the problem?

You need to install the correct version of jb (20130812) and not install that android police version of Play Store. Gapps has Play Store already in it. Go to CWM and wipe /system and factory reset. Then install both CM10.1 and the right gapps and nothing else. It should work then.

I wiped my nook, installed cwm, then I installed cm-10.1, then I installed gapps 20130812. I got nothing. No play store. No google apps. I was about to complain on the forum until I thought why not try downloading gapps again.
So I did.
And the next time I wiped/installed/restarted my Nook, I follow the prompts and I get something different from last time: it is asking for Google account credentials right upon startup.
I cannot believe downloaded file integrity is still such a big issue. It turned out that the gapps I downloaded the first time was corrupt.

CM 11 erros.

I installed CM11 on my galaxy s gti9000. All went fine but I get some errors. I tried one nightly build and I constantly got this error: " Unfortunately media manager has stopped." Now with the latest build Download manager isn't working, neither does the gallery. I get a similar error. I can disable those apps but I'll not be able to download apps from google play store. I'm certain that I did something wrong as I'm a newbie in this stuff. Any help?

from which version you have installed cm11 ??? Did you wiping cache and data-partition??? Please give us more infos, what you have done ...

I think it was from 2.3 as the tutorial said. It was like a month ago so I'm not sure... Is there anyway I can downgrade to a good version and then install CM11 again? If yes, what version do you recommend me?

Actually, downgrade doesn't seem to be necessary in your case. I would on your place first try to install ROM again as "clean installation" and it should work well.
download latest CM11 nigtly ROM
download Gapps from the opening post
paste the files on the root folder of either internal or external SD card of your i9000
reboot to recovery mode
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache
wipe dalvik cache (under "advanced")
install zip CM11
install Gapps
reboot
enjoy

Any news about your CM11-Installation??? Does it work now with clean-install-tutorial ???

Hello, sorry for late response. I did a clean install as suggested with the 29 december nightly rom and everything works great now. Before the install, I was getting another error, something with android.process.media has stopped working and I deleted every media file on my internal sdcard because I had lots it (few hundreds I think). I don't know which solution worked but everything works fine now. Thx for the support.

No problem, thanks and great to hear that your CM11 now works as desgined :good:
The media-process sometimes makes problems, you can clean data and a few time later it will start again searching for media files ...this should work ...

Google Maps Crashes

Having crash problems on both my Samsung Galaxy 8.9 tablets (one on CM 10.2 and the other CM 11.0). Seems to be triggered when I zoom in. Past a certain point I get the, "Unfortunately, Maps has stopped".
Just seems to have happened with the new Maps. Versions. 9.0.0 and 9.1.0 both crash. I have cleared data and cache and re-installed to no avail.
Tried installing a downloaded 8.4.1 but it wouldn't install.
Anyone else with this? Cause??

I installed Liquidsmooth v3.2 Milestone + Figue Kernel v11 and pico pa_gapps, following instructions from:

I haven't installed jolinnard's latest kernel, yet. I'm still running the LS one. After that I installed maps from the playstore and it seems to work fine so far. It just popped up the playstore and asks me to install the latest version of the play services, which I haven't done yet. Not sure, if it will still work after that. Other people have complained about gmaps crashes as well. Maybe it's worthwile trying LS?

Try to install The lastet Version ob gmaps. It works fine for,bevor i Have The same issue.

Google fixed the problem with an update to Maps. Thanks, Google, appreciated.
