Hi guys,
Looking for a bit of end user advice.
Im off to glasronbury festival tomorow and want to take my inc s. As those of you have been might know the ques for the phone charging tent tent are massive so want to try avoid them for as long as possible.
To the people who have used a variety if custom roms, which has the best battery life?
I plan to turn if mobile data etc for the majority of the time and don't mind if its stock android or sense based
Thanks in advance

There aren't many roms to choose from, but android revolution has been quite good on battery life for me. And I'm a pretty heavy user.

Thanks for your input. Was the sense or sense-less version?

I am really satisfied with the battery life in Android Revolution HD
IMO you'll regret the decision to take the phone...
anyway, revolution hd is good, i use it without sense.
I have reason to take my inc, the this years glastonbury app is actually really useful as it has a clash finder and a reminder function. So many years I have missed things due to losing track of time (i may have not been sober to be fair)
To everyone else, thanks for the advice. Looks like i will be going for revolution!

Usually my battery last 2 days atleast with Android HD 1.0.2
So, Im planning on buying this phone, But, Is it a good phone, I heard this phone beats the One X in benchmarks, But, Is it laggy? Hows the battery?
It's great!
No lag and the battery is like other smartphones I think.
There's a problem with autofocus when recording in stock camera-app. Can use another.

Hey there,
I bought the P880 based upon the following reasons:
Near Retina screen
5th low power core
Removable battery
Looks like SGS2 and don't like the girly pebble looking blue SGS3
What I have found after owning it for 3 weeks:
Battery life is great, last full 24 hers on a single charge, with the exception of 1 day this week where power amp was running in the background and I didn't notice, it wiped my battery out in 3 hours - always carry a charger if your daft like me.
Its crashed twice, due to me being a fool and pushing it too hard - its just a phone after all.
Its very thin which is both good and bad, good for style, bad if you sit on it
No lag between screens and using apps - I play a lot of heavy games apps and they all run smooth as silk
The screen definition is superb - crisp, clear and always bright
LG UI3 is OK, not as refined as Samsung, but I like the fact that they don't pre-load as many applications as Samsung
All round a great buy, very happy, looks great and performs better
Hi,
Replying late. But yes today I took a benchmark test. Restarted my phone and first thing I ran the Quadrant. Was happy to see the results.

My phone works great...and battery is good and very good if you underclock cpu to 1.2ghz. even after underclocking cpu it is very smooth and no visible unplayable lags even with high end HD games.
Also with recent upgrades camera auto focus work fine if you dont believe check photos taken by my phone in best pics thread...
Compared to HTC OneX LG 4X have extra 64gb sd card option (so 16gb internal + 64gb sdcard) and battery upgrade option which is not possible in htc.. rest of the hardware is same GPU,CPU,RAM,..etc.

My phone works great,no issues at all. Just few min ago, rooted it
Only thing bothering me is the Camera both Pic Quality & 1080p video....Damn, on low light it just terrible !!!
i'll try the MODDed Camera app and see any improvement can be made.
Overall I'm satisfied !!!

Run it inside a refrigerator that should definitely cool things down. Maybe buy one of those waterproof cases and throw the phone inside a cooler when not in use.

Root it and install a custom kernel. That helps a little. If you want more, then underclock/undervolt the CPU with a CPU tuning app.

Can you return it? I've seen about 107 on mine just playing silly grumpy bears game, but otherwise, it's typically less than 100 if I'm just using it normally. I'm still stock if that helps.

Hey Jonas. This is a very very vague question. We poor people have got like two kernels in all. And battery life depends on a lot of things not kernel. It also depends on how you use the phone
So don't worry too much about it. It will be fine in any kernel you use
if you need to save battery, you can always turn down the frequency a bit using setcpu or nofrills
Well, I use my data network very often, but before I rooted my Phone, my battery last for more than 12 hours, now it's hardly to let it last for more than 5 ... I don't know what I did wrong...
Or Google 'how to save battery on my android'.. Or something like that :silly:

Did you install a custom rom, kernel? Did you over clock?
I don't really know, long time ago, now I'm searching to solve it

I've looked for prometheus kernel, wasn't really sure it would be good for my battery. Can overclocking affect my battery life? I think that's possible?

Its going to affect battery life but if you keep the frequency down and use a governer like interactive its only gonna help you + increase performance

I am using prometheus 828OC...
I am a light/medium user... and my battery lasts for 18-24 hrs...
as recommended above by Phenziox use setcpu or nofrills to set your frequency...
my setting...
828 - 480 frequency during day....
480 - 122 during night ( 12am- 6am)
am using deepsleep battery saver for some extra juice... which is working fine for me.... can give it a try
Also, I put my phone to airplane mode while sleeping so it doesnt disturb me and saves a ton of battery. Remove apps that you dont use, it will help too :good:

What do you understand with normal use?
sending more than 150 sms? or using data network?
It's just when I'm using my data network that my battery is dead in less than 6 hours, really sucks...
I mean: listening to music, browsing, a little bit YouTube
Hmmm, my battery doesn't seam to die noticeably quicker when data on!!??

Which kernel do u have?
Sent from my HTC Desire C using xda app-developers app
Hi guys,
I have a Desire C that I use as my backup phone. It was working pretty well, but one day it suddenly started to discharge really fast. I thought it was due to some process on background but it wasn't. I flashed it, used couple of different ROMs, brought it back to stock still nothing. I thought maybe battery gone bad, bought a new battery still the same. Did anyone have similar problem? Do you think it might be due to some hardware problem? Thank you in advance.

If I surf the internet or play some casual games while charging, it heats up to a point where the back feels quite hot. Can anyone tell me what's the consequences if I let it heat up too long and what can I do to keep the phone cool.
