Hello,
For the HTC One are there only 2 colors for the notification LED? All I have seen is red and green, basically for charging and then for notifications.
would be awesome if we could customize the colors that pop out for specific apps!
That is correct, there are only 2 colors.

we cant because hardware spesification doesnt support multicolor.

thats a bummer! I just came from the original N1 and the LED ball was amazing with the different colors it could produce for notifications!
At least you guys can differentiate the red and green light. Being colour blind I simply cannot tell the difference...

has anyone or can anyone modd the desktop clock while being docked from the glowing green to like a dark blue or cyan color?
I don't have a Dock. What's glowing? The trackball or the screen?
he means the clock. its green for a reason, the green pixels have the longest life and blue has the shortest life.
but if you really wanted blue, im sure its possible.
adam beat me to it, oh well
the blue leds in amoled screens have a horrible lifespan. to quote wikipedia
"blue OLEDs historically have had a lifetime of around 14,000 hours to half original brightness (five years at 8 hours a day)"
green leds have 2-3 times the lifespan depending on the screen. plus, green is the easiest color for the human eye to see so it makes sense to have it as a night clock.
i know this doesn't really answer your question. But this is the reason why it's green and why i don't think anyone has tampered with it.

Is there a way to customize trackball notifications, for instance: if x person call me, then the color it shows is green and so son?
Thanks in advance
Light flow can do a lot of colors for a lot of apps. But not for calls from different people.... yet. It updates pretty regularly.
I believe SMS Popup can handle different colors for different people...

You can't change the LED for incoming calls, as the screen has to be off for the colour to be changed (maybe TrackBall alert can do it, but that needs certain framework).

Where can i find this app?
Coudn't find this on market
I'd love to change light colors depending on the app.
Light Flow Free
You should definitely get Light Flow; I have it and love it.
The pro version has more features and IMO is worth the price.

I just bought my z1 for few days. It is purple but i notice that the led notification light for blue , red and purple are kind of dim as compare to others color like white and green
is it due to the color of the z1??

oh ok nvm. i will show some pic tml.
so anyone else has this problem too???
Nothing recent to research for our N3 so I wanted to hear from the peeps that are controlling their Notification LED using apps such as "Light Flow", etc.
I downloaded Light Flow Lite and do not want to buy their paid version until I listened to the opinion of my peers who own the same device.
Anyone out there using apps to control their LED, and which apps do you like/hate?
Wow, do you guys know how many colors our LEDs are capable of making?
Android is famous for its adjustability, and yet no one wants to take control of their notification LED?
Makes no sense to me, I don't get it.

Try posting in the "theme's and apps" section for more responses. Dont double post though! Click the caution triangle at the top right of your original post and ask to move this for you.

You mean "more" than zero - lol
That certainly makes sense to me bro, but in the past, similar threads were move back here because I was "asking a question".
Regardless, over 100 views and no one else has any motivation to control color of notifications, why not?
So far, just with the 1st free app I have tried, it's light years better than just the plain blue for everything..
sms flashes green
e-mail flashes cyan
missed call orange
calander reminder purple
low battery red
incoming call blue
So if we move this thread, will I get 200 views not interested, (instead of only 100 - lol)
I could care less about my led color because I have a galaxy gear. But if I didn't, I'd be checkin out some led apps!
I posted in here recommending to move your thread because I did see you had views and no comments. I couldn't leave ya hanging. Maybe wait a few days and let your post marinate here. Then ask to move it so it can get a couple hundred more views without comments in that section too! Lol
The only thing I would care about is being able to set different colors for different contacts.
On my GPro I had red for my (ex) girl, yellow for my mom, green for my closest friend, etc.

I'm liking is, but was hoping to get feed back from peeps who have tried other apps, or the paid version.
Have you tried any of these, and what do you think of them.
(also, thanks for the reply and for taking the time to supply the link).
Sorry I read you post last week and didn't remember you had written that you have tried lightflow. ?

I use light manager and has got a bunch of settings and you can add apps and set colors for app notifications.

I can but the green is far too strong. By that I mean I can't seem to get pure white without it being either too green or too red
