How to set the Bootanimation
How to set the Bootanimation?
->Download and copy the Zip File to your system (PC/MOBILE).
-> Rename the zip file to "bootanimation.zip".
-> Copy it and paste it inside root->system->media. (copy and replace)
-> Now change permisions rw-- r- r-, Reboot system.
-> That's it.. You must be seeing our Bootanimation after the Kernel logo.
-> Enjoy...!!!

-> Type of expected bootanimation : Simple/neat/modern/etc..
-> Any particular video to be made as bootanimation(provide the links)
-> Any text to be specified in bootanimation
-> Color of the expected bootanimation
-> Anything else of your particular interest.

A custom recovery
A non-stock rom (Some stock roms don't use bootanimation.zip)
Optional: Backup of current bootanimation
Installation:
Save the file to the root of you're sdcard
Reboot into recovery
Choose install zip from sdcard
Navigate and pick "nameofthezip.zip"
Install it
Reboot and enjoy

If you can't flash them in cwm, Extract the bootanim from the zip file (located in system/media mapp i the zip) and on your phone navigate to the extracted bootanimation.zip, copy it, go to /system/media/ mount as r/w and replace the old one (backup first) set permissions rw-r--r-- and reboot...

That's exactly what I did. A created a smaller version of the original image (160x142) and added _small at the end, but when I flash it, it crashes.
Would it be easier if I put my wallpaper and its small version manually to that folder?
