Your contacts are backed up by Google and as far as your apps, I advise you to back them up with either titanium backup or mybackup pro...

He's right another thing that's helpful IMO is once u back up all of ur apps using titanium back up it creates a folder on ur sd I went in there and copied all of my apps created a folder on my sd and pasted them there for extra precaution and made a second copy of the folder on my pc for an extra back up that way no matter what I have all of my apps
Note I turn off file compression on titanium back up if I didn't I couldn't install them without titanium wen I backed up with out any compression I can install any of my apps with any file manger well hope this helps good luck
Root-Hack-Mod-Always™
use rom manager, and just backup your rom. Itll save EVERYTHING. If you want to revert, install ROM manager on your current rom, click restore from backup, and there you go! Simple as that.

Actually, when you do a wipe, as soon as you're back into your phone just go straight to the market and go to your downloads, it always seems to save them there. I wouldn't recommend doing this if you're changing to a ROM with a different version of android (I.e. going from Fresh to Cyanogenmod).

Hi
Ok now as I do not have stock rom I cant access kies, so cant get contacts to my phone, I have more then 150 contacts converted in .vcf from outlook, I tried keeping them in "Contacts" folder but phone couldnt find it while importing...
tried keeping 10 contacts on the root folder of "sdcard", the phone couldnt find it while importing...
How do I get the contacts to my phone..
any help?
thanks
p.s. - using emanon v4
Well, I was successful importing .vcf files into Phone Contacts on CM7. But CM9 couldn't do this, as it said "File format not supported."
Anyways "My Phone Explorer" ( http://www.fjsoft.at/en/ ) is good for syncing contacts to PC and back to Phone. But only works on a Windows platform.
EDIT: I guess its also possible via Titanium Backup, but I myself haven't tried. Maybe some one could help with this.
I think you can upload this file to your Gmail contacts and, then, sync your mobile with your Gmail account...
Have you tried that?

First download 'super backup'(a free app) from market. Then backup ur any contacts or sms or logs.(its included in my procedure)It will automatically create a file on sd card as 'smsContactsBackup'.Then transfer ur (.vcf )file to that folder.
Now go to the super backup app and select contacts->restore option. This will restore all ur contacts...
Inform me if it helps...

hello i have the same problem and reboot my device and still the problem is here.
Please help!
Ive just got back off holidays with our newborn son, and seem to have deleted my pictures on my P20 Pro via my laptop.
I just dont know what else to do!
I cant find them anywhere, and have tried using dr.fone to recover them, however it is asking me to root my phone.
I have never done this, and am worried that i could loose the pictures.
Im fearing that the longer i leave it, the higher the chance on me not getting them back.
Can anyone help me/walk me through this process?
Use to be certain recovery but since we lost mount storage via USB, not so much. Download easeus data recovery app off playstore. Can still have relative success with it

Thanks for your advise. However I have tried this and it only recovers pictures I have. It says that it hasn't got root access. How do I get root access? I'm using a huawei P20 Pro.
Root requires unlocked bootloader, if yours isn't unlocked then you're out of look at the moment as all paid services are down again.
Problem is unlocking bootloader does a full wipe anyway. Google screwed us by removing mass storage mode. I've not found a fully working alternative yet unfortunately.
Doesn't the app offer to do a deep scan after? It will show u current pics but should show deleted as well.. It simply displays all valid jpg png files etc it can retrieve from the file structure if it finds their file contents still intact. Deleting a file doesn't actually delete its data, just removes it from the file allocation table so the device can then use that space again if it wants to

I know it sounds stupid, but do you, by any chance, use the Google "Photos" app? If you enabled backup for local photos there, those pictures should still be in the "Photos" in your Google account...
