Hello people!
This is a clean ROM for Nexus 4 built from the AOSP source code.
Why this is a different AOSP-based ROM
The main goal is to reach a perfect configuration maintaining the stock interface and the stock kernel without compromising the stability of the pure Google AOSP ROM.
For this reason I deleted a lot of files which I repute not necessary for a smartphone like the Nexus 4.
Less apps are loaded by Android system, more battery is available for you!
This is the main/daily ROM for my smartphone and its purpose is to be stable and to not drain battery.
I recommend to use the stock kernel for this reason and to maintain the same configuration.
If you want a more customized ROM, please look for CyanogenMod or AOKP based ROMs, they are the best and safe way to obtain the best usage from the Android System.
But if you agreed with me, if you want to really use a smartphone for working purpose, if you want to use the Nexus 4 to call people and if you don't need to "amaze" your Apple-funboys with Live Wallpapers, Swipe gestures on keyboard, Photosphere and other stuffs (please let me kid a little), then you are welcome to my work.

I cant wait for the link to be fixed. Question: is JER09 a new build number after JDQ39 that we all know and love? I ask because I havent seen it before.

Yes, there is a way: I have to recompile a new AOSP ROM, it will need only 1 minute about.
The difference is only in one file: SystemUI.apk.
Tomorrow I will upload the edited SystemUI.apk for you
How is the ROM? Any bug?

Are gapps included?

I like stock rom with quick reply and a few features. Dig'n it heavy. Its my second daily driver.

Been trying to download but keeps failing on me?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium

Nice ROM; very smooth stock experience. I like that you gave it persistent root. No bugs so far. I'm running it with Intersectraven's latest test kernel at the moment.
To the person above me, downloaded very quickly on first try; only a couple minutes.
p.s. this thing runs just as fast or faster than any super optimized ROM I've run (tried pretty much all). Stock is getting good these days; contrary to the past.
Edit: only problem I'm having is I can't get light flow to work. Is the app being weird or is it not supported somehow? Thought it worked on all ROMs. Turned it on in accessibility settings, etc., used on many ROMs that don't have LED control.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium

Extremely smooth! Doesn't feel stock and its very light. I'll run it through its paces. Thanks
Sent from my Nexus 4

I really like persistent root permission as well.
PS. Running great all day with fauxs latest beta. Will continue. Keep having this weird lockup reboots elsewhere with the same combo of settings I always use none here.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium

In my ROM there is a minimal set of Google Apps, other apps can be downloaded from the Play Store.
Soon I will upload an updated version.
Regards!

FAQ:
What to do on first boot / how to get MIUI Lockscreens?
You will see something like this after the installation of this rom when you boot for the first time. Be sure you click on "Set as default" and then touch on "MILocker".
After you did this open the app MILocker by tapping on the icon within your launcher. You can now choose your favorite lockscreen (don´t be confused by the chinese names, most of the lockscreens themselfe are in english
Whats this notification in the notification bar?
On your first boot you will see a notification like this that reads please enable or disable anonymus user stats. Please click on it you will be redirectet to the app
Please enable the stats by enabling main-optin. This app is still in BETA stage and created by out Team blockbuster. We are building a statistic system that provides us many information to make our roms even better. Have a look at our current (till now very small statistics) at http://www.team-blockbuster.com/stats/viewstats.php
Addons:
MIUI Lockscreen Package
Download the following zip archive, put it to your sd card. Then unzip it (so that you have /sdcard/MIUI/theme on your sdcard) and choose between the lockscreens in MiLocker. Enjoy

Hi,
Looks good so far. Will test it. When Download links are available
One Question: former Aroma Installer deleted also Synchronisation function of my phone Does your Rom still include sync app ?? because my contacts are always on google.
Oh and one idea/suggestion. Are agressivex and abyssplug governors included?
Thank you.. Looks good, ill test it once download links are provided.
@12play: governors are included by the kernel, in case of streetware, yes they are present.

The main idea behind SuperNexus is to provide Vanilla Android experience, just like on Google's Nexus devices, to non-nexus devices. SuperNexus is entirely built from Google's AOSP Source. A lot of improvements and optimizations have been done to the Google's Source Code to have the best possible Vanilla Android Experience. [ROM][AOSP][4.9 toolchain, -O3]Custom Ras_vanilla ( bionic/skia tweaks ) , July 14

Hi all, These are basically ras_vanilla builds ( from rascarlo`s latest sources) with my own custom modifications.
History
Well I am a purist and seek for minimalism. I love stock android, but with certain modifications that i like for improvement in functionality. But the specific set of features i wanted in rom , i couldnt find it in a stock rom. So i decided to build one myself with everything i needed. I have been building my own custom vanilla builds for a while and thought i could share my build with the community that has given me so much. May be there are people who seek these aswell and it might help them out a bit
Why Ras_vanilla base ?
Simple, it has all the magic carlo optimizations under the hood, i was certain i couldnt get the same performance using stock aosp sources. I actually thought i ll use RasSaber sources or SaberMod sources to build, but decided against it. To make these vanilla build, there were two options,
1. Easy way, make it look like vanilla by making settings, etc look vanilla, but there would still be a lot of customization commits and i dint like the idea of this.
2. Remove each and every custamization commit to make a true vanilla build. This is very very time consuming. so no.
And i thought it would be better the just build up from ground.
Features
1. Volume rocker wake - always on without user configuration ( so that it looks stock ).
2. Network band selection fix in *#*#4636#*#*
3. Built with 4.9 toolchain and -O3 Cant stress on how quick it is
4. Clear all button in the recents menu.
5. Advanced reboot menu and screenshot in power menu.
6. Lots of tweaks.
+Check the change logs
FLASH
latest TWRP is higly recomended
- full wipe if coming from a different rom, else skip this step
- wipe cache
- wipe dalvik cache
- flash zip
- flash gapps
- (opt.) flash kernel since it comes with stock
- reboot
- log into google and let it sync
- fix_permissions (in terminal if your kernel supports the script, else in recovery)
- (opt.) reboot

Gapps
Use rascarlo`s Gapps :

Kernels
Any kernel should work just fine. I usually use just the stock kernel. But franco, SaberMod and Trinity kernels performed very well for me imo.
Thanks
AOSP - For android.
CM - Incredible amount work that they have put to make android so much more better.
@rascarlo - For one of the best best rom i have ever used. And for his sources.
@sparksco - For help when needed and Brilliant rom that is just unbelievably quick and fast. Please consider donating to this guy, he puts unbelievable amount of work on his tool chain and lets buy him a beer
If, customization is what you seek, either of their rom is an excellent choice.
All others who have helped me in their own way to make this happen. Thanks.
To @MBQ_ for the space in his server to host the roms so that you people have unthrottled and fast downloads, Thanks man. Please consider donating to him so that he doesnt have to spend money from his pocket to keep up the server.

- Reworked everything from scratch optimizing everything.
- Removed Navbar height for this build, still have to clean up some codes in it. Sorry
- So much more mem leak fixes and performance improvements.
- Removed my gapps and 4.3 package as its been nothing but hiccups to ruin the experience.
- Option to make volume rocker wake user configurable.
July 09:
- navbar height added back
- quick change in notification menu between toggles and tiles by swiping
July 14:
- Some bug fixes and optimizations
- Halo
July 14 - build 2:
- New vertical gestures for halo
- clear all and silence for halo
- PA`s statusbar icons cause i felt it looked better.
Definitely add point 4 and 7. Love the vanilla builds but I guess like you I miss some features. Keep up and will flash as soon as these features are there

Great! I might flash it today actually. Also, what does the signal fix mean?
In stock aosp sources, selecting band using service menu, I.e *#*#4636#*#* cause fc, fix for that to select particular network band, eg. USA, Europe band, etc.

Update :
1. Clear all button in resents menu.
2. Advanced reboot options and screenshot in power menu. - Is screenshot needed ? Or will i remove it ? opinion please.
Should be uploaded in a while pathetic internet connection !
Also, will someone please attach a cross for clear all button in recents menu instead of the current one ? I will include it in the next build.
Will add navring shortcut custamization in next build, seems like a lot of work.
Wait, do not download, i made some more changes :silly:
1. Put recents clear all button on the button right for easier access. - cerdits jarjar124
2. Change clear all button, this button looks so much more better
This is what I was looking for, a clean aosp rom with just a few modifications. Thx
Nice work. I can help you on some things. Just pm me questions.

Would you like to consider these:
1) fully odexed rom (system/app/ & system/framework/
2) expandable volume control

1. Why would you want an odexed rom ?
2. I am trying as hard as possible to keep everything vanilla, i ll take a look at it though.

1) because I believe odexed rom is smoother and it is part of stock format to have it odexed.
2) Thank you
4.8 or 4.9 toolchain and this rom will be perfect (at least for me ).

Use something like this to odex : forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1514576
Having to build and maintain an odexed variant seems like a lot of work. Also for a beast like nexus 4 with 2gb ram and quad core processor, performance increase will be so negligible between the 2 that it's just going to seem placebo imo

This is AOSP built so it also includes the aosp browser as well as the features above. The others are just based off of the factory images I believe.

Just a quick question before I try this rom out: Does titanium backup work properly in terms of un-installing system apps? Or is this an issue with the app itself or the root method?? Currently when I try it says 'failed to locate file'

Like the OP states... This is AOSP.... and No. Updating firmware will not make it magically happen... There is still a lot of code to merge in for such features.. The purpose of this tread is to help spread the word to other Dev's that there is other sources out there that can be built from. This is just a taste of what this source can do..
Thanks for updating..

More than just a new ROM. The possibility to open up much more development.
Edit: and some differentiation
