hello guys,
i have the htc one with contract from orange (UK) and im trying to unlock it to put a othe simcard on it, i have already changed the rom (that mean taht i have rooted, unlock the bootloader and i have setup the recovery) but still when i put the other simcard (its a greek one) still get the bar that the network is locked any ideas?
[ROM] Android Revolution HD 9.1 is the rom that im using right now
You have to pay to unlock it, changing the ROM alone won't do anything

do u know any good/safes sites?
I don't unfortunately, I never buy locked phones so I've never needed to unlock a phone
http://www.cellunlocker.net/ is well known and resourceful for network unlocks

That's likely a SIM unlock code, which will allow the phone to work with a carrier other than the one that sold it. There's also a bootloader unlock code that we're supposed to be able to get direct from HTC at htcdev.com that will allow us to flash custom software to the phone, but right now nobody seems to have succeeded in getting that.
As bjg222 said. That is sim unlock to use it on another GSM carrier.

Yeah, most reports so far say that the AT&T version gives an error when going through the process on htcdev.com. (Haven't tried it personally, my phone won't be here till tomorrow)

I did go through the HTCDev.com site and followed the directions to submit for a Bootloader Unlock Code. It does error out say CID Not Allowed. This doesnt surprise me give the phone launched on Sunday.
I'm actually looking for a SIM unlock so I can use the Raider with a non Bell SIM. Tried Cellunlocker.net and despite the site saying they have it (and paying for it) I was emailed a couple of days later with a refund saying they don't have it yet.
Anyone know of a site that has the unlock code?
Do I have to unlock the bootloader in order to use a different SIM card on the phone? I'm with WIND Canada. If I flash to Jelly Bean, will it still be wind branded? If so, what is the easiest way to remove or get around this network lock.
I've been reading around on the forums but none of the threads explicitly say whether or not unlocking the bootloader unlocks the device from the network.
You have p880g afaik, cant unlock bootloader on it as you dont have jb. Correct me if I'm wrong

You are correct. Is it possible for me to install a stock jelly bean firmware and unlock the bootloader? Or is it impossible to flash the firmware without unlocking?

you cant install p880 firmware on p880g unfortunately, it's been reported, so you're stuck with 10c/10f ics and locked bootloader

Is there any way to get an unlock code, or a reliable website? WIND won't provide an unlock code until you've had service for 6 months, and I don't feel like waiting 3 months to switch providers.
none that i know of, but there are several webistes that supposedly offer unlock codes for almost all mobiles for some fee. i'm not sure if it's a scam or not, since i've never had any experience with it.

I have the same phone with wind mobile (p880g) and just unlocked the network today. I googled and went with the cheapest I found - UnlockMOB.com
I followed the instructions and had my unlock code in my email within half an hour. Good luck.
Hi,
I have HTC one on Three UK network. I took Sim network unlock code from 3 different paid servers, All have given same code but code does not work. It says Sim Password incorrect. Spoken to supplier and he said it is some bug in new android system. Can anyone explain me how to fix this. I appreciate that.
I already 3 tried another source and checked imei etc.

Are you on a custom CID ? On a custom ROM? If yes, change them back to the original and it'll work.

This is purely anecdotal but the phone I had before this was the s2 LTE model on AT&T, when they gave me the code it kept saying it was unsuccessful until I ran out of attempts. However when I actually put in a t-mobile sim card it worked fine and it was fully unlocked. Maybe try that?

You do know that to unlock the phone you need a SIM card from a different company inside the phone so that it asks for Network Unlock Code... SIM Lock is not the same...

Obviously phone is asking for sim network unlock code when we put non accepted sim card. So phone is not unlocked. We do quite a lot unlocking and few phones get this error, we have to refund customer but I am seeking solution for it. It is only in Android phones (HTC and Samsung).. Samsung's we usually unlock using unlocking boxes but HTC One is not supported other than code. (Setool support older HBOOT).
Hi All,
Hi have the HTC One Locked to Rogers, I had previously unlocked the phone as Im with Koodo. I purchased an unlock code and everything worked just find I was using the phone on the Koodo network for several months, then one day it lock up at the quietly brilliant screen after several attempts I was able to reboot the phone and same thing happened, again after a reboot it finally wouldn't power up. Needless to say I had to send it in under warrantied repair. I got the phone back and the main-board had to be replaced. I attempted to unlock the phone again via code just as I did before using IMEI, each individual states that a code could not be generated. I have rooted devices before but I'm no seabiscuit if you know what I mean and am not entirely sure to what extent I need to go to root and unlock the phone. Before anyone says anything about the rooting/unlocking i know this wont immediately solve my problem but if I have this access can I not find the unlock code in the phone once rooted in addition to other alternatives?. I appreciate any help you guys and gals have to offer.
Thank you

Anyone??? I'm sure I can root this thing but don't know where to go from there.
You will need a new unlock code generated to sim unlock the phone. Has nothing to do with rooting the device. Unless you mean bootloader unlock??

I mentioned I had done this! Unlock code cannot be generated for this IMEI after repair. I am fully aware that rooting will not resolve this. However I will need to root in order to attempt an unlock of carrier via whatever methods are available once rooted such as using hex editor custom roms or whatever other methods are available. Again phone was unlocked via code previously after repair the main-board was replaced and an unlock code cant be generated apparently for the new IMEI.
Are you saying that you can't buy a SIM unlock code?

I bought an unlock code twice, both times I was told that my IMEI could not generate an unlock code. The codes were bought from a reputable source. I was refunded both times. This phone was sent for repair they replaced the main-board. Prior to this repair phone was unlocked via sim
There is no way to unlock via rooting currently.
Perhaps wait a few months and the code may come in to system

Hi guys,
I am writing because I have a friend in need and xda was more than helpful to me in the past. I have Samsung Note 2 but my friend owns HTC One European(probably) and the phone has a sim lock on it. It is bought in Bosnia and Herzegovina and he came to Austria to live now and phone is of course, not usable. Can you point me please to some unlock methods, free or not? Ive been searching a bit online and all I can find is unlock for HTC One Sprint. He has 4.4.2 now and update is available.

There is many threads here regarding sim unlock, use the search option. Essentially, he will need to purchase an unlock code i.e from ebay (cost between 10-20$ US). Then when inserting the new sim card, he will get prompted to enter the sim unlock code. The phone must be on stock sense rom to use the unlock code. (some users reported successfully sim-unlocking their devices using arhd sense rom)

We have already done that. Code isn't working actually. Is there any way of determining the exact model of it? I've read that some codes don't work for Telenor Serbia or VIPnet Croatia. It's not the network from which he has bought it but it's also not possible that M:tel from Bosnia changed it's model somehow.
