MD5 file can be extracted by winrar.
I dont know how you can develop something while extracting MD5 is a problem to you.
to extract system (which contains files from flashable zip file of ROM)
just simply extract the system.img.ext4
run this java app HERE( note use JDK 6 )
and open it in DiskInternal Reader (if using windows pc)
Not to be mean, and in not a developer, but I guess youll just copy/paste/test a rom not developing.
Do it yourself if you are a dev

You could customize your phone as you seem fit, and then do a nandroid backup which will save it as a zip file, which others could then flash as a custom rom via clockworkmod
Thank you!

Each ROM files have it's own decryption/extraction algorithm. I've talk to someone XDA member who has able to decrypt LG ROM, it depend on .dll included.
But because he doesn't have P970 so he only give me his program coded with C# and explain the method. That time I'm trying to decrypt LG Marquee's ROM, but no luck. And because it's not compatible with P970, then I quit

If your phone is broken, you need smartflash and not a flashable.zip file. Go and read post 3 in m noob how to, you ll find links, where you can download the software for your cellphone, the software you need to extract the bin and fls files and smartflash, which you need to flash it to your phone. After that, you should have a rooted stock v20E software running on your phone.
i case u need detail steps for flashing original firmware in p970, read it on rohitdhavade.blogspot.com

is there any kind souls who wants to help users optimus 3d?
I could use the framework-res file. apk inside the path system / framework / framework-res. apk
the file must be extracted from rom ics thanks
Extract it yourself, lol...
And go to O3D not O2X man.
thank you very much, if I ask here for a reason ... Senior member should know that when you give you an answer to solve the problem by or for further clarification.
however kind and helpful especially

why do you complain? You're in the wrong section, for a different device and you're requesting that someone spoon feeds you.

Guys.. most ICS ROM's are provided as ext4 system.img files, so it really isn't easy at all to extract files (if you aren't using linux).
No need to blame him for his request. System dumps as zip are pretty hard to find.

You can extract it from my experimental builds, it's a zip file (and not a img one).

Most junior members don't know hen to put their thread.
Anyway, what is difficult in downland custom ics Rom and extracting your framework to do that?

your rom is not multilanguage. I needed to extrapolate the data related to language as for optimus 3d ics is currently only in English
someone have the 1st porting multilanguage?
Hi guys,
the noob strikes again! :silly:
Well I want to flash stuff but I have some doubt on how to do it. For example on this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2219250, theres three choices of download, Recovery tar, Recovery zip CWM and Recovery image. So does it mean I can flash it on whatever way I want?
Same happens in the Perseus Kernel thread as there's a tar version and a CWM version.
Sorry for the noobness but I prefer to ask than to do something I'll regret!
Thanks in advance.
You've got 3 options because we've got 3 most popular methods of flashing:
1. Odin - uses .tar files to flash
2. Mobile Odin Pro - can use .img files
3. Custom Recovery - CWM .zip files

FLashing stuff:::
Hey guys,
another noob here
I want to know more about flashing.
For example_ flash the GAPPS on the Rom, and there's a new update of them, do i need to delete the old GAPSS and THEN install the new version?
Or i just flash it over the older version. I don't know how this works. Can somebody get me a link about it or explain ?
thanks very much..... CHeers from Portugal .

You don't need to delete the old gapps, just flash the new over the old. Just make sure they are the right gapps. Usually the dev has a link in his thread.

The best way to learn this is to pull apart a already created zip and see what is done. I involves a few lines in the updater script and boot.img with kernel and recovery
