As we all know first batch of HTC Ones had few issues but i decided to buy now my couisin which lives in uk just bought 2 HTC Ones for me he is old and not good with technology.
would this phones be 5th or 6th batch has anyoneone bought recently how are they now

I'm not sure what supply is like in the UK but, if it is like the rest of the world, I would imagine not very good. If that is the case, recently bought phones should be pretty new.
I bought my phone from Hong Kong on the 18th and it was 2 weeks old. Hong Kong was hit hard by shortages, so maybe they'd be a bit older in the UK. I'd guess you're likely to get a mid-April phone. Odds are highly in your favour it will be fine.

Hi i bought phones 3 days ago they were from may 13 manufactured bot have sharp panel both have gaps and bad digitiser
Wow, really? I am surprised by that. I thought HTC had sorted things out. That's not very good on their part to still have QC issues this late in production.

From my HTC need standing it's all based on the batch and store get random phones from a variety of batches. You need to locate a thread that has been gathering all the serial numbers and fond what serial number types have the least or no flaws. Anyway that's just my input. Hope it helps.

Picked mine up today, white certainly is the best color
cost for me was £0 on a £35 p/month contract with Orange, picked it up frpm Phones 4 U after those terrible adverts on TV, I think they listed it as costing £590 sim free, where as the carphone warehouse I beleive was showing as £499?? I could be wrong but you never know

I ordered mine last night. Upgrade through Phones4U got a really good deal. 600 minutes Unlimited sms unlimited Data (with 1gb fair use) and a free Sensation XL for £28 per month on Orange. Looking forward to it. Hopefully Capychimp will cook up something tasty for us when we can get s-off etc

i got one in Taiwan for about $650, it is brand new and not locked
Me and my wife we have 2 SXL, i wish i could turn back 3 weeks and choose SXE - memory card, larger battery, Black color. My wife told me, no no honey, go for SXL not SXE. Never listen woman when you choose electronics or car I'm serious man and now i have to walk with that white sh.. Overall SXL is good and impressive phone, but that color... I still got my Black IncredibleS.
BTW when SXL was announced - i read that it will come in black color as well, later that information disappeared.
I bought it on ebay in UK for £285 brand new sealed box. Got it unlocked for £3.99 again from ebay seller.
Have any of you guys received your orders already? I pre-ordered on the 5th of March and it has been postponed twice. Now the release date is set on 12th april.
Not sure if this helps as my order date is later than yours. I ordered on the 15th March and my expected delivery is 18th April.
Amazon UK has this baby in stock now so you should be getting it soon.

My order(black one) still says the 12th and it certainly doesn't look like the silver is in stock, that's not to say they don't have them. Black one doesn't even look to be available on Amazon UK at all currently

The silver one is in stock and I know it since my good friend works at amazon. And I'm not trolling you guys. I'll ask for more details as to when they will start shipping them.

I chatted with Amazon support and they confirmed they will ship 12 April.
Do you know if they have a lot? I had a pre-order with them mid March, but cancelled when they moved to 12 April. Now I ordered again and I'm back at the end of the pre-order queue...

Swaps are straight up, if there is a price difference you pay it. I just did this because my LTE broke and I upgraded [not quite] to the LG OG. Then in like 8 days and the One came out and I simply went back to the origin of purchase and exchanged it, it was $50 more, so I covered that.

I swapped my first HTC One because of the back/home button issue. I tried the Galaxy S4 for a day and returned it. I liked the HTC One better so got another HTC One and now no 4G LTE. As long us your under the 14 days you can return or swap the phone.

If its a legitimate issue, there shouldn't be a charge.. I took mine in the day i got it, because of the slightest gap on the top.
We opened another one, it was much worse. We opened a second one, and the top looked good, but the bottom was jacked up. So I'm just living with the slight gap, I'm the only person that would notice it anyways..
But we opened two others, and i ended up just taking back the one i had from the git go. They weren't going to ask for any money, and didnt when we unboxed two others.
The reason you like Samsung is because you had one before. I had a HTC before and I think people become loyal to a brand that they had good experience with before. I loved my EVO until it broke after three years. I had to go with HTC when I saw the One. If HTC didn't have the One I probably would go with Samsung S4.
how stupid am i for trading my htc one for the nexus 4. there was nothing wrong with the htc but as of late i have enjoyed experimenting with different phones.

Interesting that the reviewer has the sane camera focus problem that is been discussed in three or four threads here...
Man thats foolish, on the other hand if it would be the other way around you would have been so glad you traded your nexus 4 for a htc one. i know i would be.
I traded mine for a S4. That lasted 1 week and I traded back for a other One. I've had a lot of different phones to test and none have that feel like my HTC.
The S4 was nice but Touchwiz is not a well coded interface. Camera is over rated on the S4 and was my main reason for trading. It's not that much of an improvement over the Note 2 sensor.

Just got a new HTC One last night after selling my BB Z10 after a couple weeks (the BB really was nice but it has major issues with Contacts management & sync w/Gmail-Google Apps).
Anyway loving this One but I'm keeping my Note 2 because it's a fantastic phone as well; I have a cheap secondary tablet plan on a separate SIM so the Note 2 is now more like a mini-tablet.
While setting up the One today I ran thru all the test for defective sensors etc, and happily everything works. Once I scraped off the excess glue and other rough edges, the thing is now perfect
Not a recommend trade IMO.

The Nexus 4 is a great device, but I hope you got some cash on top of it for your One. To be completely honest, I really love the HTC One, but I missed the Nexus 4 so much that I just bought a white one with a white bumper and a wireless charging orb. You are only dumb to have done this if you didn't get any cash on top bro.
I will trade you a very good condition HTC Inspire 4g for your nexus 4 if you want!

Not sure if they made enough or not but there are some at various stores around where I live. Also T-mobile is supposedly backordered quite heavily due to the massive mistake they made in including the gear in their 30% off accessories coupon. Great promotion for the consumer but no one knows when all of those orders will be fulfilled.

Yup, they definitely didn't make enough.. I almost did not get my phone upon release cuz all the gear was gone. They said that they can't sell the phone without the gear?? But lucky enough they had one left, the one they were showing to all potential customers lol.

yeah still no gear here, major bummer wanted to see at least a demo unit
My Best Buy still has like 10-15 of them in stock in Various Colors. I got my manager to price match the T-Mobile price last week for 2 of them (one was for resale and one for me). I guess I got lucky on that. But they are to be found. Any if you want to play with one, any best buy with a Samsung store should have a live demo of a Gear there.
Here in Denver I had to drive all the way across town to get my jet black Gear. Most Best Buys are sold out.
I'm glad I purchased it. The features are awesome.
