[Q] [STOCK O2X ROM] Can someone help me out? :'(

Ok guys here's the issue. I purchased an O2x recently after months of saving up. After using it for two months on stock ROM, I changed over to the CM7.1 stable. But I'm not all that happy because I use my camera a lot n I miss the clarity n awesomeness of the stock camera. The CM7 camera is crappy :/
I lost the backup of the stock ROM i had made :'(
So i need a stock ROM n stock kernel/baseband. I'm a noob, totally. Can anyone please help me understand how to install the stock kernel or baseband or whatever it is? I downloaded the stock ROM from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1035041
and I downloaded the baseband from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1008070
What is baseband? And how do I install the 635mb stock rom?
If anyone can help me out patiently, I shall worship thee forever.

answer for your question-
Baseband is the Radio or Modem version depending upon the Phone Model, Carrier and Android Software Stack version. The radio firmware controls basic low-level functions like network connectivity, Wi-Fi, and GPS. Upgrading Radio firmware will fix connectivity issues, increase range or performance, decrease battery usage, etc. Incorrec tRadio frimeware can disable some functions in your phone such as MMS, 3G Data, VM Notifications, etc. Network operators/carriers select the correct version of the Radio firmware that is suitable for the phone, network and bandwidth.
Hope it helps for your understanding.

Hi, I might be wrong, but if I remember well, there is no FM Radio in neither ICS/JB. But there is an application in the market called FM Radio you can download and it works.
No FM on ICS/JB
There is no custom roms (ICS/JB) which has Radio in built.
There is an app called "Spirt FM" in market which you can use to listem FM on your I9000 however few users have also reported that this app has damaged there rear speakers as well so think/read before you use it.

Hi, there is a thread of this kind already in this forum. But no matter this. The problem is that JB nor ICS have FM Radio installed from stock (or custom). You need to download a separate application. The one I would recommend is FM Radio.

[Q] Radio Firmware

Hi, can somebody give me the radio_firmware.bin for the JB version ?

Did I get lost somewhere with my FM radio?
Please, help me, I am getting lost regarding FM on the Razr i running JB ROM :crying:
I am on stock JB rom (4.1.2 _ 91.2.26001.XT890.retail.en.EU). Until know I thought FM radio would not work (cf. thread "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1942120&highlight=radio&page=11").
Now I see a thread on "how to change your radio firmware ("http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2128251").
So I am confused: can I apply the procedure to get back my FM Radio? Or this does not apply to my version?
I appreciate some clean explanations...
Many thanks to all the developers, you are doing an impressive amount of work! :good:

1) Please, use search first.
2) You could flash a radio firmware from ICS, but it'll change nothing because problem is in JB itself. JB has no API for FM-radio.
3) Radio firmware is not for FM only, but most of all - for cellular network.
Thank you

Well, thank you for clarification It may be very obvious to you... it was not so obvious to me although I followed the story on different threads.!
I am still desperate to be able to listen to the radio through a real tuner and not through an internet connection. I find so stupid to have a tuner in my phone and not being able to use it...
Have a good day and thanks for your reply :good:

I am going to try a few things, since it works on droid x and the galaxy 9003i, which both use the same chipset. Maybe it's just a matter of drivers in the kernel. As soon as I got the time, I ll give it a try

Thank you for your attention.
To give you a sense of how I'm doing trying to use as follows:
The version I'm using is version Spirit FM UL V FEB26
1 - I install the application, give the permissions by superuser and access settings.
2 - In "BAND" select Brazil
3 - In the "Audio", click on "Method" and choose tried to choose the options related to LG, but makes no effect.
Interestingly this option is that if I select the "Galaxy S3/Note2 ALSA" it makes a noise like it was trying to connect with the signal of radio stations on the dial and it identifies the radio, but no audio.
Anyway, no doubt I'm the arrangement.
Thank you.
