[Question] How to port a fcking Rom from fcking Droid Incs 2 to us?

Thread title says everything I though. I mean exactly the Paranoid Android Rom from there :3

its harder with cm9 and cm10 because the kernal and all that ****. sense roms are easy but i will pm the op asking if he has plans for us

Are you talking about a CM9 or CM10 based rom?
There would be a lot of users lining up to test here I think

But we need plain JB before paranoid android!!
Once we have a working base, it will become more possible to port different AOSP based roms such as codenameandroid, AOKP, bakedblackbean, etc
I see the desire s community have brought all this to their users, a lot of it based on the CM10 development

I will try to port, as I can imagine many others here doing so too
I just have no clue how to build from source

I am the creator of ROM. I can give you the port for Incredible S. Since the ROM is based on cyanogenmod it should work with no issues.
But we don't have a device to test. If you can help us with some basic sanity test i can give you the image.

All the off-topic is starting to get back into all the other threads... Time to bring it back alive, I think.

You are right.. perhaps user should ask question there and we will trying to help as we can.. but I believe most of us are busy with school or personal life..

I would be glad to test it in case required. But I am sure there are many experienced Testers out here who can give you potentially experienced test results.

Hi guys now that your device is cm10.1 supported I would like to ask if there is anyone interested in pacman all in one rom. Would build it this weekend and upload it for someone to test it cause I don't own this phone
Any tipps in special vendor stuff which is needed for this device would be interesting too and would safe me some time
Before I forget of course it would be android 4.2.2 (pacman version 22.1.0)

As for tips.. Well, i'm not a dev, so... i don't have any.

Just don't forget that, this model is the P880, not a regular LG device.
Its the "Special One". Everything gets tricky
Sometimes looks like have own personality...

You can count on too! PACman rom was 1 of the best that I've ever used.

Just buy the phone, 'cause it's great!

But the Xperia Z is about 600€ and the 4X about 300€ that's the half and now that we got unlock bootloader, the most things seems to be fine!

added it to pac man but have to resync my source after some hours of downloading it will build and if it doesn't crash I'll upload it tomorrow.

But 4X is very cheap, about 240€ in Poland And the bootloader is relockable ^^ You won't regret it!

First of all, thank you for paying attention to our device. Of course that the whole P880 community is eager to see and test new ROMs and kernels! I have a few questions: Is there a chance that we can get a custom kernel from you? And are you aware of our problems with overheating, have you implemented some sort of thermal protection? Or is that somehow related only to kernel, and not to the ROM itself? You can see few threads around where users reported that their P880 was burning hot and they got white mark on their screen(while charging), which disappeared after some time.

Waiting for some custom roms but nothing happends.

i am waiting for CM too but i think it will happen (like for most of the other Xperia devices), it just needs some time until some developer will buy SP

I've spoken with fxp and they told me they need to buy device to start development.
So we need only wait for fxp's cm and then we can expect pa and other roms to be working on out great phones.

I tried to build using his file but some are missing which are needed in vendor folder.

Building from source is much better. Stabler, easier to fix bugs, likely faster too

Reboot and test and report bugs...

We need logs so everyone who knows how get them uppp

For the Users:
If the ported ROM is SVHD 1.7.5 or Smaller , you got Full Sense
If it is 2.0.0 or 2.1.0 you got Lite Sense
Nevertheless, SVHD is one of the best (if not the best) and most stable ROMs currently out there for the HTC DHD.
If the dev can port it well, you should have a lot of fun.
Maybe i will try it soon with my GF's Arc S and compare it to my DHD ^^

@Neurom707, you think its a cakewalk porting Sense to Xperia? How can you say might never boot? Commmon dude , help the dev with logs and stuff, make this thing boot or atlest encourage them rather than commenting like this.. No offense bro, buti hope you understood what i meant.. I have an eye on this as i am going to take this to Neo and Neo V.. We need your support guys..
