Can you please post the link to that review?
There is no link in your post.
Could anyone who have a HTC One test it with Rightmark or some other program and post their results here?
Anybody here with some decent headphones?

It is awesome. Let me explain why. The soundchip used in Boomsound speakers are not only for speakers. HTC intigrated that technology into headphone jack too so you get that high quality sound when you plug in your headphones too.
Yep, I tried it, crystal clear.
I suppose that GSMArena review isn't that reliable, seen their comparsion S4 vs HTC One and audio quality there is from some other galaxy
Could anyone support me with some more reliable audio test, i'm very interested in HTC One headphone audio quality? (With some decent headphones, like B&W C5)
Comparison threads are against forum rules
But it's not really a comparsion thread, we are just trying to find out how good the HTC One perform with headphones.
Could anyone post a good audio review (not GSMArena) or post the Rightmark results here made by themeselves?
You're comparing the audio quality against other phones, which is very subjective
But feel free to carry on, dont mind me
You just like to see the world burn? lol ok nevermind
So any one with One how is the audio?
So any updates?

Thanks for your input, have you tried Beats Audio (Acid Audio) on GS3? is it similar as on your DNA?

I'm going to get shouted at for this.
I have a pair of Dre Beats Studios, and iPhone 5 and HTC One, and a recent memory of a HTC One X, now sold.
With the Beats Equalizer on through a pair of Studios, it sounds absolutely fantastic, better than my HP DV6. Things aren't so good when you turn that equalizer off, however that's more due to the fact that that sound enhancement was designed to be used with a pair of Dre Beats
As for the iPhone, I find it's audio to be a bit tinny when played through the Dre Beats. I think the sound level is slightly higher on the iPhone, but to me the HTC One wins everytime. And if it's vs boomsound, I think we know who wins :victory:
HTC one with audio technica m50 (actual good headphones not marketing) the sound is brilliant using spotify on high quality, I will test on my iPhone today before I sell it
So,
I've been putting my One to use today with it accompanying me on an internal flight in the UK.
Instead of using my SoundMagic earphones I decided to travel with the ones included and well, the audio quality is amazing, and a fair bit better than my usual headphones.
My question is, are they unbranded beats or just some decent unknown headphones by HTC?
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
Possibility is they take advices from Beats or have them monitor the engineering of the headsets.
Hox earphones are great too but I dislike them because they are on ear despite loving the flat cables. If One's earphones is that great. I might ditch my Sony in ears

They're actually HTC earphones which have been made to resemble beats earphones. They're not that bad tbh, miles better than the normal crap HTC usually serve up.

I think there great. I gave my beats that came with it to my kids. I don't get on with beats, don't find them comfortable. Definitely prefer the HTC pair that came with them. Now all I'm waiting for is free wireless PIONEER speakers.

I agree, i had a pair of beats that came with my sensation and they were uncomfortable. The head phones that come included with the ONE are pleasant to wear and produce top notch sound quality for a stock pair of earphones. Well done HTC:good:
I compared with my Bose, urbeats, HTC's which is comes in box, galaxy S2 & S3 headphone and found that supplied standard headphone is best one and I found no different between urbeats and supplied one so I can sell my urbeats
But Urbets has a better grip in-ear
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
think they may be unmarked beats - wish they put a beats mark on them
If the stock headphones are as good as people say, that is tremendous news. HTC should promote that fact harder, and consumers won't have to spend an extra £30 to £50, on getting decent sound quality.
I have to agree. Sound better than my klipsch s4 with the bonus of added button and tangle free cord. Will compare to my sound magics in a bit

Put mine in for the first time today. The headphones are fantastic! So surprised by exactly how good they are. They rival the beats easily. There's no need to purchase another pair of in ears in my opinion. They are excellent headphones and tangle free to boot!

I'm wondering if the US carrier branded versions of these phones will come with the headsets as well. I haven't received a set of headphones with my phone since the Touch Pro. I'm sure it's probably under the carrier's discretion, but it'd be nice to have them stateside.
Imo I think the earphones are the best iv had with a phone but still a pile of #### the bass is simply way to saturated and lacks any replication of real bass sounds I.e. a bass drum or kick doesn't sound anything like a real kick, my cx300 2's and even beats tours are ey way better then the stock included ear phones however massively better then any other included and as good as ear pods by apple.

I've posted the AT&T HTC One page where ppl will be ordering from once it goes live. It says it comes with headphones... Don't know if they are the beats or just the normal HTC ones.

Pretty sure normal ones. The red ear tips ones that comes bundled with One. HTC stopped bundling beats earphones awhile back.

I wish they had volume controls.
They do look like 'Unmarked Beats', however, i saw a little rumour the other day telling me that they were actually made in the same factory, by the same Manufacturer / Supplier as Beats. I may be wrong, but he is quite high up in the Mobile Industry. . .
Not a chance these are unbranded beats, take it from an owner of that many ear/ head phones including beats tours and urbeats the bundled earphones are so far away from even urbeats in terms of sound quality they are like black and white. The earphones are very good for bundled but so far from any idea of audio clarity seen in beats earphones, anyone owning a set of tours will tell the same after hearing the bundled set.
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
what i dont get is why they dont have track controls like most bundled earphones?
im assuming the button will play / pause music and answer / end calls only? ive not actually used them yet
I have now tried a couple of the earphones and a couple off apps to allow for music control from the mic button presses on the earphones, but have not managed to get the HTC one skip track, let alone change volume.
Therefore I am thinking maybe the phone itself may be the issue (it always re-dials the last called when I double tap the button on the earphones)
Anyone had success with any earphones on the HTC one? (please don't comment if you have used a different HTC phone, as this problem may be HTC specific) if so, please help with specific details.
Thanks

I have the UR Beats as well for comparison. I agree that the standard headphones are weaker when reproducing bass, but otherwise the clarity and overall quality of sound reproduction is very good. If you travelling on public transport etc the free headset is actually a good option.
My HTC One's speakers are really quiet. On maximum they sound quieter than Desire HD's... How can I fix that and possibly without root ?
+1... I have never been happy with the loudness, even sent my HTC to the service and apparently they replaced faulty speakers but I can't hear the difference. I compared my one with couple ones in several shops and mine was always quieter. There are threads "how to decrease volume on htc one" as people complain it is too loud, I wish my was that loud
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
Sometimes my speakers are even working and restart fixes it... Htc replied to me that I should compare it to other htc-s and if its bad i should restore defaults and try safe mode on the phone.. Neither of them fixes it... I heard it got screwed with the 4.3 update because people requested, but thats way too quiet.. "Boomsound"... Sure... I get the loudness I want in the toilet...
Hi there,
Ever since the update to Kitkat 4.4.2 on the HTC One M7, I noticed drastic changes in sound. Before that Boomsound really sounded loud yet clear. I don´t hear the same amount of decibels as before or as HTC mentioned "Blast the volume you deserve, from an audio system you have to hear to believe." Yet, I don´t hear that much as before... not to mention the fact that lots of phones are way louder all of the sudden where as before they were not.
Earlier HTC was also playing to its audio strengths as for the HTC One M7 - BoomSound for the front-facing stereo speakers, which are said to blast out up to 93dB. Now does not even come close to this.
Now that I want to find a solution to this problem, I would like to initiating a petition to this matter for everyone whom has the same problem. This petition is for a update for HTC One m7s Boomsound.

But the HTC One M7 doesn't have BoomSound. It has Beats Audio???
It has both BoomSound and Beats Audio.
To tell you the truth, I also noticed a drop in sound loudness - meaning that before (but I don't recall whether the 4.4.2 update or even the 5.0) I could show my friends videos, even in in loud environments, and you could still hear the sound. Now, not so much. With the volume on max.

HTC nerfed the audio level in one of the first ota update back in 2013. Reason: to much blown speakers. So make your decision. you want louder sound + blown speaker or slightly quieter and no problem with your speakers?

So you have measured with a sound meter? Do you know how HTC measured it? Directly at the speaker? At the standard one meter distance? I would not be surprised to learn that they have measured directly at the speaker to come with a more impressive number. 93db is really loud, for comparison a lawn mower at one meter distance is 90db. Do our phones really need 93db when you are holding it 1 foot from your head? Are you listening to music from your phone while mowing the lawn or when you are at less then 150ft distance of a B737 taking off? Maybe but I think most of consumers doesn't need that much sound power in everyday usage. There might be some situation where it could be useful, I agree, but not enough to start a (disputable) petition for a 2 years old phone lol.

I would honestly suggest you to put time and effort on something else than this petition. This will not change anything anyway. As an alternative, there are some sound mod available here to boost the sound level if you are ok with the risk to damage your speakers.
Looking for a stereo sound mod for the front speakers (626s). I have one on my Galaxy S4 (which has the main speaker on the back) and figured there would be a similar mod for these faux dual front-facing speakers. Surprisingly not yet?
Good question.. I've seen similar mods for different devices and it'd definitely be cool to get it here, as the phone lacks volume (even with Viper4A).
I've already downloaded a few different variations of this mod for different devices and am dissecting their guts looking for differences.. They all just seem to modify or replace mixer_paths.xml. Hell, i might just nandroid and start flashing for gits and shiggles lol. Let me know if you find anything?
Oh and by the way, are you same dragonhart from the Desire 510 section?
