Did you try with another battery inserted? Maybe something related to power has malfunctioned or your battery has a problem. The latter doesn't make much sense in this case, but who knows...
Either way its good if you are under warranty.

Big Big Problem .....Help :( :(

when i put the charger on my incredible s the orange lamp is on put my phone doesn't charging......Why????
sorry for my english
Hi, can you still USB mount?
Well your English isn't bad but we know that the light should be (green) not amber while charging and I know I suggest this a lot but have you tried pulling the battery, than put it back in to see if that works?

Ok you tried another usb cord and have you tried what I mentioned, not saying that will work but worth a shot yes?
can you still USB mount? Have you tried another power source? try use a wall socket?
Are you Rooted/S-Off?
If yes, try another rom.
If not, try other charger, cable.
Pull out and in Battery.
Try load while device is off.
Try another battery.
If nothing works is the USB Port broken or device.

Yep it must be the usb, sometime I had a message that said my phone was using more power than what the charger provided and that I needed to turn off the phone or stop the running applications.........and wasn't using it at all lol
I went and get one from eBay in less than $7
Sent from my unbranded Razr HD =)

The USB port problem seems frequent on this model and on Samsung phones in general - mine is 5 months old and hasn't had this issue so far (knock on wood!). Goes to show just how "good quality" Samsung phones are... not buying again.

My problem with my phone started after I bought a cheap car charger. I must have ruined the mini usb port. Now when I unplug my phone from the charger it keeps showing that it is charging and will not stop till I remove the battery and put it back in. Also if I had just kept it without removing the battery and wanted to recharge it plugging it to the charger will not do anything. Removing the battery and put it back will allow it to charge. I just hope the cover will not disintegrate with all the opening and closing. Before this phone I had the Nokia N97 and in the middle of a long distance call the battery died. I stopped at the first cell shop and bought a car charger that ruined that phone too. I should have learned no to use hardware that is not original even if the guy said it is good.

Charging Problem

Guys, having a problem with the battery port ( I think)
As soon as i plug the wall charger in to the port the phone shows that it is charging but it actually doesn't charge. This happens only with the wall charger.
Tried Reflashing ROM and everything software related.
On Sweetrom v10.5 with Philz.
It works fine via USB charging ( From Computer).
I changed my charger too but same problem happens.
It started when i plugged the phone to a charger of Xolo Q1000 (3rd Party) and that too in a Made In China Extension Board. :/
Hi there
Its a problem with the charger not the USB cable.

You might have a bad USB port on your phone,
If you do then this goes to show don't use 3rd party chargers and extensions, you could have shorted it out.
Best thing to do I would think is to try and get a replacement charging module.

Is that possible?
:/
I mean could have probably shorted out the port?
If it is shorted then how does it charge with the USB?
:/
And btw I can use the Phone as a media or storage device too and can acess all files and everything.

Have you tried flashing any other ROMs to make sure it's not a bug?
Some roms can be pretty weird with a few bugs but I'd say it's worth a shot.

Yes, I tried Superbean ROM XXLT6.

I am gonna visit Samsung Care Centre tomorrow as i dont know anything about DIY stuff.
if other usb cable also same , then it must be usb port that damaged.

Nobody here can help you, get it to a repair shop and the guys there will know what to do. It's a hardware issue apparently, and a Samsung service center should be able to fix it.

Are you root and have you got a custom recovery installed?
If you are you might want to drain your battery, then charge it fully; to remove your battery stats (in CWM). That might help.
If its just your charger not charging your phone, that might indicate that youre charger isnt working, have you got another usb cable? try charging it while its connected to the pc to make sure the AC adapter itsself isnt broken.
Cheers.
