spent all day getting this to work, and it works.
had to make a goldcard using the unlockr's guide.
sorry i cant post links yet.
i use a 2gb sandisk.

Showtime anytime

Does anyone know hey way to download the Showtime anytime app for the Nexus 7. It is currently not supported on my device, but I know there has to be a way to download it that doesnt involve the Google play store.

Here ya go. Just install like a normal apk it should install fine. It did on mine. Remember you need to have a showtime subscription with your provider to access content.

MIUI GB

Hello,
I am trying to port miui gb to another device, I tried following some guides such as

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1598713
but they aren't working, they install correctly but a black screen appears after the boot logo.
Can anyone help me with this problem?

Take a logcat and debug it.

but the problem is I can't do that as I don't own the device I'm porting MIUI to and the person testing it doesn't know how to take a logcat.

No one can ever fix anything without actually looking at the logcat. Ask your tester to learn and generate a logcat...and post it up here for debugging.

The user did the logcat and the error is
W/DirectVolume( 1278): Invalid 'PARTN' value
It's obviously a problem with reading one of the partitions but can you help me solve it?

Looks like a problem with vold. system/bin/vold & /system/etc/vold.fstab.
