Hello guys, I decided, I want to buy a screen protector for it, what is the best and cheap screen protector, you can recommend me? I always can buy a pack from eBay for a couple of $, and replace em from time to time, but are they any good? I annoyed, because they all feel like plastic, and the finger not slide easy, I thought to for anti-glare, but I will pass for that type, no way I make that IPS look bad. The standard ones, have too much options, so I don't know what to chose, some go for wet install protectors, but complain about rubbery feel, and orange peel look...I just don't know what to chose, but I want it to hold a couple of mont, till it need to be replaced, from what I understood, the wet apply, can heal from dent and scratches. and it sounds, just like what I need, so it hold longer, than a standard screen protector, but again, what to chose? I also don't want to pay a lot for it, what can you recommend as the best wet apply screen protector, that not cost too much, can heal from dents and scratches, and maybe come in a pack of 2 or more?
Why done need to make your decisions for you?just buy a screen protector

Try out XtremeGuard, they are good, and they sound like what you`re looking for. I recommend you buy 2 of them and use this coupon code: 80off2
That will give you 80% off the price for a total of $3 for 2 screen protectors. That`s a steal if you ask me.

Last time i bought the HD2 silicon case with the two screen protector worthed about 5 dollars on eBay. Then soon i found the problem was that the bot screen protectors wont fully stick on the screen (bubbles everywhere) even though i spent lots time to get rid of the bubbles, but they are totally unqualified product..
And now i am looking for the better screen protectors, just searched on ebay and hundreds of the results coming out and i am wondering which one would fully stick on the screen without bubbles. Can anybody recommend some good screen protectors? Thanks
I highly recommend Realook from Amazon. They are dry install covers and if put on properly show almost no bubbles. The reason I like these the best is that they feel most like the actual glass of any that I tried. The rest are more rubbery and dont allow your finger to glide across the screen as well as these do. This particular one covers the bottom under the buttons so there is a slight bit of lifting on the lower corner. This is covered up by my case anyway so it's no bother.
2 pack $11
Lifetime Warranty

make sure you get the right one for EU or TMO version.
I don't use any screen protector. I have used one for 1 yr but it degenerates the quality of the screen. Besides, the screen itself is pretty good in preventing scratches.

done. good idea.
I'm in the no Screen protector camp, owned the phone for 14 montys and not a scratch on the screen, a soft or hard case is fine if you are worried or careless
I Use Martin Sheilds screen protector. I have stuck to this because of durability and feel. Plus side is you cant even tell you have one on
i bought the stock T-mobile branded ones the day i bought my phone. there were 2 in the pack, and im on the last one. i really like the slightly hazy anti glare that it provides. i recommend those ones, but does anyone know of any that are just as good, but dont cost as much? i had the first one off after it wore out after 6 months, but IMHO, the bare glass is just too shiny and reflects everything outside in my experiance, so i put the second one on.

These are the best. I've had invisible shield, phantom skinz, body glove. They all suck compared to the tmobile one. They last forever. Had mine on for 8 months and its still looks new.
simple question that I'm asking myself since I got my n7: should I buy a screen protector or not? I would hate to get scratches on this awesome screen... but maybe the glass is tough enough by itself, like the motorola defy's?
what are your thoughts/experiences?

i got me a invisishield screen protector just because i like to keep my screens looking good and it helps to sell it when all you have to do is take off the protector and the screen looks brand new.
I'm usually pretty anal about screen protectors, but I bought a smart case that covers the screen instead. Unless you use a case also, I'd get one. I'd much rather spend a few bucks on a protector than years regretting it.
A scratch is possible, things happen, so if you're worried then I'd say put one on. I intend to, and have lasted this long, but you just never know. Apart from a dead pixel, a scratched screen is pretty bad. Better safe than sorry, as they say.

it is not so much about the money actually... more about possibly negative effects on screen quality and touch screen experience...
regarding cases... I want to get one anyway... don't want to shove my brand new n7 in my backpack without protection
I don't think a case renders a screen protector obsolete though... there is still the possibility of scratches due to dust particles and stuff while using or cleaning the touch screen....
I always use those anti-glare or anti-finger print screen protector. It defuses the glare and it protect the screen. HOWEVER, you cannot expect 100% clarity on these but I am ok since I use my tablet mainly to read

This ^ times ten with a cherry on top!
That said many cases now come with free screen protectors as added 'value'. I've actually bought 3 matt protectors (in a set) and got 6 free gloss ones with the cases I've bought.
Hey guys,
I just recently bought this screen protector from Buff and thought i'd share my experience with you. It costs $24.99 from Amazon, although, I bought it for much cheaper at my local phone store. It came in a descent packaging and I think, even though I had never heard of them before, it did give me the confidence to go ahead and get one. Anyhow, lets get down to it.
Package includes:
1 x Screen Protector
1 x Squeegee Card
1 x Microfibre
1 x Instruction Leaflet
Application:
It was a dry application so it was fairly easy to apply without the need for additional equipment. The squeegee that came with it was good enough to push out some of the bubbles. According to their website, you don't have to worry much about the bubbles, especially the stubborn ones as they tend to disappear around 24-48 Hours after applying. Although, their website also states that you can use a blow dryer to speed up the process, I personally find this unnecessary. Additionally, at other times when i do notice dust particles during application, I simply use a mini spray bottle, filled with water, at the affected part and simply force it out using the squeegee. Furthermore, If you were to do this then i would recommend doing this by either leaving on the protective sticker during or wrapping the microfiber around the squeegee to avoid damaging the screen protector in anyway.
Fitting:
As you can see from the photos, the top part does not go all the way around the speaker grill. I presume, this was done intentionally to avoid any interference between the screen protector and the sensors. However, I have never experienced issues with other protectors that do cover the sensors and the camera...ohwell maybe given the thickness/material of this thing, it does make a difference. But we'll speak about that in a bit.
The sides and bottom part are, in my opinion, a perfect cut for those certain few enthusiasts who like to switch between casings on a regular basis. As you can see, the Samsung Protect Cover+, does not interfere with it whatsoever from any of the edges.
Feel/ Protection:
In my opinion, this has got to be the exception here. I've read that there are quite a alot of haters for the Zagg invisible shield screen protectors and some have mentioned that the feel of the Buff is no different. However, I find that its really not the case. Don't get me wrong here it does feel somewhat rubbery, and although my initial thought on it was disappointing, after a few hours of using my phone I got the hang of it. I could slide my finger across the screen without experiencing much of the grippy feel almost as good as a naked screen.
Now, with the use of Spen it does require a tad bit of getting use to, and although its not as smooth as the ordinary screen protector, its still usable...provided that you wipe the screen clean of any oily or dried smudges.
Heres the good part - its pretty easy to clean and not so easy to scratch, in fact, it is even harder to scratch compared to any other screen protector out there. And if you did manage to scratch it then you need to seriously consider changing your lifestyle
I found that the microfiber provided or my shirt was more than adequate to wipe off any smudge with just a few rubs. Usually I would use an LCD cleaner but in this case i found that to be unnecessary.
According to the manufacturers website it consist of Four different layers, however, I personally think they're full of crap with regards to this info. Now this thing is thick in comparison to other protectors but still not enough to be noticed but just enough to make me wonder if all those videos they've posted are credible.
I mean they've tried almost everything you can imagine to break that glass and it still came out sparkling...hammering, throwing a red brick on it, COFFEE MUG, etc you name it. Check out the video here to judge for yourself.
Clarity:
Now I think the best way to describe this is that it is somewhere in between the clarity of an anti-glare and a crystal clear screen protector. I noticed a somewhat very faint rainbow effect one that you usually notice from an anti-glare protector. It seems to be less noticeable under direct sunlight for some reason but it becomes apparent in a dark environment especially when you crank up the screen brightness and pay close attention.
Conclusion:
This is not going to be everyone's cup of tea. But if you do decide to get it, you can be assured that you can place your cup of tea on your phone and not have to worry as much about smashing that screen to bits. Additionally, its hard to scratch meaning you probably wouldn't have to worry about changing your screen protector every few months or so like the usual, but it comes down at the expense of having that slight rubbery feel to it. Nevertheless, its still worth getting if you find yourself to be one of those overly protective individuals.
PROS:
- Easy to apply
- A good fit all around
- hard to scratch
- Cheaper in the long run since its hard to scratch
- smooth to use with fingers
CONS:
- produces tiny rainbow effect similar to an anti-glare protector
- not so smooth with Spen when screen is smudged.
- expensive - considering some brands offer x2 screen protectors for the same price.
If you find this post useful feel free to hit the Thanks button.
Good write up! Just out of curiosity I went to their website to find out thickness rating of this film. Typically cheap screen protector film is 2H (ebay junk for $0.99), while quality PET film is 3H (like iSmooth and Spigen for $10-$15 a pack), and tempered glass is 9H (like VITREO or MIME $30-$40). This one you have looks somewhere in between PET film and tempered glass in thickness. It wasn't mentioned anywhere on their website. As a matter of fact, they don't even go into details of which phone they cover or where to buy it. I checked it out on Amazon, and the cut in the picture looks totally different from what you have described. Kind of strange.

yea I had a look at their website too and it seems they're somewhat disorganized with their method of distribution. Although their marketing isn't so bad with regards to the videos theyve posted they have still got to mention the hardness and they've got to seriously provide more info to potential customers on the varieties and the availability of their product line. I bought mine from a local store so I've never really bothered checking their website earlier on availability. However, it feels like the surface hardness is about 3-4H, compared to the cheap ones youve mentioned from eBay. I would say their main highlight for this is in its ability to absorb and disperse shocks effectively rather than its resistance to scratches.

Absolutely, a good point!
Hi people, my buff screen has just five months of use, and it is becoming dark. It has been annoying me, mainly considering my GS3 is white.
What can I do to solve this question? Is there some product that I may use to have the clarity and the transparency of my screen back or should I remove the shield and lose my money?
Thank you.

I would recommend sending the company an email stating your situation and then following up with a warranty claim to replace it. The most you can do is use an LCD lens cleaner but I doubt that will help.

But this screen protector isnt anything like glass. Its hardness isnt anywhere close to glass. The part I do like about this screen protector is that its meant to be reusable, so if it does manage to peel off you can always wash, dry and stick it back on.

+1!! Unless you buy a screen protector with a lifetime warranty, then 5 months of use is pretty good....
If you're wanting to buy one with a lifetime warranty that does NOT feel rubbery like Zagg does, check out Ghost Armor. That's the brand I always use on my tablets, and the Note 2 is the first phone I've used Ghost Armor on. I've had a GA clear front and back on one tablet for about 1.5 years now and it hasn't discolored in any way, lost any clarity, and doesn't have a single scratch on it! Highly recommend Ghost Armor for the feel, durability, and cost related to those things. GA isn't cheap, but well worth every penny that you spend!!!

Well in India we are getting it really cheap just rs 200-250 dats arnd 4 dollar I wonder how amazon selling it at such high price and I even found the protector to be doing a great job and even after few month of use the spen even feels smooth on the screen guard .
I am very happy with this product n would recommend to all if u get it at low price
Hey guys, I installed the Zagg Glass on my M8 and so far so good.
Installation was easy but I did notice that Zagg's "Micro fiber Lint cloth" does more harm than good, then again I noticed the same thing with their Plastic screen protector. I'd recommend not using it unless you boil it down/rinse it to death.
It'll leave it's own lint on your screen.
Other than that I have no complains.
The Glass itself is smoother than the glass on the phone and it resists smudges quite well.
I live in San Diego so when people use my phone their hands aren't the driest since it's been 90+ lately. Yet when they were done there were no smudges. The edges are rounded like The Glas.Tr from Spigen and I have absolutely no bubbles at all.
I had the BodyGuardz ScreenGuardz Pure before this and I can definitely say it was an upgrade.
I will corroborate your review. Pretty good quality, the feel is excellent and even more so oleophobic than the stock screen in my opinion. I can't even tell it's on there, and the screen isn't compromised at all. Worth the $40.
The lint cloth caused me no trouble although it didn't really help either.
The only gripe I have is that when I was "smoothing out" the bubbles, it says to press down hard, and I used the lint cloth along with some force from my thumb nail, and if you tilt it in the right light you can see exactly where I pressed down with my thumb nail in several spots...just small depressions in the shape of a nail tip. Didn't think an "industrial strength" glass/plastic would be easily indented by a thumb nail. In any case, its a small neurotic thing that doesn't bother me much, just something I noticed. Overall pleased.
4/5 Stars
I'll be the third to say I bought one of these and I love it. Can't beat a lifetime warranty either.
Probably my second favorite outta all the ones I've had. Tried almost every glass protector. Mime feather is still my favorite, but this is close.
Well... I really wanted to stay away from zag due to past experiences with their products. Being that my brand new spigen light armor hadn't arrived, I went to the local best buy to find a cheap screen protector until I could get more money for the glastr shield. Cheapest one there was a invisishield for 25 bucks, damn.... Then for only 5 bucks more was the glass zag shield, plus the life time warranty.
I had no choice. I would for sure get my screen scratched up while working.
So anyway, to my suprise, I couldn't be any happier with this screen protector. No dust, no bubbles, no edges peeling, no fitment issues, no headaches. This glass protector Sh*** on wet installs, and plastic shields. Also, it fits very nice with the spigen light armor. Also it really does resist fingerprints and smudges. 10/10

Does anyone have details regarding the "lifetime warranty" disclaimers? Curious about what is covered and how many replacements, etc.
I have the Bodyguardz glass protector that I bought at the AT&T store. It works fine and I like it but it is thick. They didn't have any dot view cases in stock and I ordered one while I was there. I also asked if the case would work with the protector (because of the added thickness of the glass) and they said it "probably" would. Well, yesterday the case arrived in the mail and it won't close because of the Bodyguardz protector.
Can anyone in here tell me if the dot view case will work with the Zagg glass protector?
wow $40? I also hate best buy so will not shop there ever.
What about the glass screen protectors on ebay for $5-15, sounds more reasonable.
I used to avoid screen shields like the plague because of finger smudges, difficult installs, and bubbles/defects. But I'm in love with the glass shield. I'll corroborate all the above and say it's a simple install and resists fingerprints much better than the regular screen.

The nice thing is you get a lifetime warranty. If you choke it down and buy it from best buy, I think they charge 7.99 or something to install it, but if you ever mess it up or it peels or they don't install it right you can take it back and they redo it. Otherwise, you just email zagg and they send you a new one in a couple days.

True, but one time and it's only 3 bucks more for Best Buy to do it, and as soon as you have it done twice, you would have been better off with them. Not to mention you can just pop in whenever you're around a store and have it fixed.

On my second Glass...First I bought the HD shield, and they have what I believe to be, a defect in design on the HD. Not only does it cover the screen, but on all 4 corners, it goes up the sides of the speaker grills. If your screen is not perfectly flush with the metal speaker plates guess what...you will have air pockets that you cant get rid of. After going back and forth, they sent me a replacement, and it was the SAME thing..UGH..
So I went out and bought a Glass..since it only protected the screen. Had issues with the first one, as none of the corners would stick! Put in for another replacement, which came today, and it went on smooth as silk and all the corners are bubble free...
When you do the replacement, you also need to send back your old one. They provide you an envelope to do so. They will also ask for your credit card number. If you do not return your old one, they will charge you the full price for the replacement they shipped out!
$6 on EBAY for these, shipped...
No... . . . Not ZAGG, specifically, but extremely high quality and the same damn glass.
Just got the Zagg glass shield installed today and I have to say this is the best I've ever tried. Glass from now on!

There's BodyGuardz, I have an extra of those the edges aren't rounded, there's a Spigen Glas.Tr but it's an extra 5$ at 39.99.
Coming from an M7, I've always used a Zagg on my phone. i really like their sceeen protectors, and they offer free replacements, which is great for when I screw up on the application. Just checked out the Zagg for the M8, and really dont like the design choice they made to have the protector cover the area near the speakers as well (pictured HERE).
So I have a few questions---
1. Does anybody have a Zagg for their M8, and does it look bad? Does the weird shape and design choice bother you?
2. What are some Zagg alternatives. I don't mean the cheap protector that feel like crap and come from 5 in a box, I mean high end (wet install preferably) well made ones. Do any other companies offer unlimited replacements?
3. Finally, would you recommend tempered glass instead? How do theyt compare to screen protectors, and what is the best brand to get taking price into consideration.
Thanks!

this thread has you covered

I've used a variety of different wet application screen protectors and found Zagg to be one of the worst - overpriced and rubbery feeling. I always found Best Skins Ever and Ultimate Shield best value when it comes to wet applys.
Tempered glass is in a different league, feels so much better than any other protector. Check the thread linked above for recommendations.
Tempered glass is the way to go, bought my first one a few weeks ago, will never buy a plastic screen protector again. iBlason is the brand I got. Cheap, .2mm glass. I love it, no complaints from me.

Thanks!

I'm using a Zagg tempered glass screen protector and it's wonderful. I didn't even know they made tempered glass screen protectors until I went into Best Buy and saw this one. Plus if I drop and crack the screen protector I get a new one.

Well that's rude. I know they're expensive, but I've requested so many free replacements from them that it makes it worth it.
