Weird stuff..
I changed my 1rst One because i suppose the camera sensor was faulty, all my pics in good day conditions was like that:
http://s1317.photobucket.com/user/s...edia/IMAG0175_zpsbb269e95.jpg.html?sort=2&o=2
PS: you can see all album maded by 1rst one here:
http://s1317.photobucket.com/user/smile_and_nothing_more/library/?sort=2&page=1
All pics are blurry. no beautiful colors, foggy, etc, tryed different settings.
3 days ago, my second One come, first picture with this phone was better, alot better, with auto mode, out of the box, see here:
http://s1317.photobucket.com/user/s... One/IMAG0013_zps111c7640.jpg.html?sort=9&o=4
and full album here:
http://s1317.photobucket.com/user/smile_and_nothing_more/library/Htc One?sort=9&page=1
BUT, MY REAL PROBLEM NOW IS, today, without to do anything with phone or change some settings, i repeat, without to do anything, when i was outside to make the same pictures test, all pictures was in bad conditions like the 1rst one, no single pictures to look good like 3 days ago.
WTF?
Anybody happen this, have someboy any constructive idea, just something...?

Hi All
A quick question regarding the contact photos in the People tab in TouchFlo.
I click add favourite, and asks me to pick a contact... so I do.
Then it asks me to pick a photo or use the camera, at this point I WANT to use the camera.
The camera starts but is locked to full photo mode, not contact photo mode.
All the buttons that are normally there are gone leaving just the menu button, which is no use whatsoever. SURELY this is some sort of bug.
Even if I go back to full camera mode and set it to contacts mode (hoping it would use the last mode selected) it still uses full photo mode.
Am I doing something stupid or overlooking something really obvious ??
And before anyone says.... Yes I know I can take the photo first then add it later, it's not the point
BUMP
Could some one at least confirm that this happens on their Diamond as well, so I can at least know whether this is normal behavior or just my device.
It will take you around 1 minute to confirm.
... please
Confirmed from me ... Can't change photo mode... can't change where to save the picture, have to save it in 'device memory'.. bummer ...but I never noticed because I never used it that way...
Thanks mate for confirming that.
Like to meet the programming genius behind that... and ***** slap em upside the head
I saw a friend using Panoman on Symbian, it's very cool
looks like u r new to the forum, plz explain a bit more, aaand, if u mean panoramic pictures, it IS available in the kaiser
press your camera button, press right a few times to move thru the different camera modes and stop on the three bars icon (top left)...take your pic starting from left...itll then superimpose the far right of the pic onto the left of the pic so u can line up ur next shot. 3 pics later, perfect panorama
You can actually take a 7 piece panoramic on the kaiser, look at the options.
If you use kaiser tweak, you can use a full 3mp photos for each one too.

Thanks guys
I knew HTC camera has a built-in panoramic pictures feature, but Panoman is a special app only available on Symbian. You hold your phone steady, turn 360 degrees slowly, and a panoramic pictures is here.
HTC Camera could only take pictures one by one, not Panoman-like.
Hmm, is there any other interesting 3rd-party camera app available on WM? Not as laggy as HTC one for instance?
True Kaiser camera only takes pictures and merge them (manually)
Panoman do this automatic - just take a 360-degree and you done
but believe me when you put a test for Kaiser versus Panoman, Kaiser is better especially if you know what picture you are taking and how

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed that occassionally (and seemingly more and more frequently) pictures that I take with the camera are either incorrectly saved in the wrong orientation or are being displayed in both the TF3D tab and the HTC album in the wrong orientation.
In other words, in HTC Album, when I hold the phone in portrait mode, the picture shows in landscape and when I rotate the phone to landscape, it switches to upside-down portrait mode. It's like chasing your tail! Really frustrating! It also displays landscape pictures in portrait and vice-versa in the TF3D tab as you flip through the photos.
This doesn't happen with every picture, but I can't seem to figure out any pattern that would illuminate the cause of the problem.
Am I alone in this? (I have a Euro Diamond)
You Are Not Alone!!
I have been having the exact same problem, and its becoming more and more frequent!
It is fustrating tho because when you are holding the phone in a portrait position and you have a landscape picture, you instinctively try and the phone sideways to see the picture straight....but this just turns the picture so your looking at it the wrong way again!
Its weird how some pictures arent affected and some pictures which are taken right after the non affected pictures are affected!
try to make sure your device is fully upright, perpendicular to the floor. i have a feeling your g sensors are not calibrated and your devices are confused with odd angles. give 'er a try and post results
Yeah, I've experienced this too.
Are you guys using the Gsen app cos I'm wondering if it's that which is having an effect?
Just in case you don't know, you can edit them so they show the right way round using Pictures & Videos in Programs, just select the offending pic and select edit from the menu, then rotate and then just hit ok in the top right corner once you have it the way you want.
I have this problem and it is very annoying, I have the HTC 1.93 ROM and don't use GSen (at the moment). It would be great to find a solution to this problem.
I think this is just a major design flaw in the HTC picture viewer. It's one of the major reasons I use other software instead.
Having the g-sensor enabled in a photo application is just f*#&ing stupid IMO. It totally fails to handle the fact that people often rotate the camera when they take photos. Most people find it easier to rotate the viewer rather than mess about with image editing ... but when they try, the g-sensor f*#&s it up for them.
It's tragic and funny seeing my friend (who still uses the HTC software) having to bend his neck right the way over to view his own photos. And what is with the inability to change the sorting behavior?!!

I think this might be because when you're taking a picture, you should be holding the phone in landscape mode, when you take a picture in portrait mode your phone will rotate the picture like that.. i ALSO had that problem. try it and let me know
Are you using G-Sen?
If you have had G-Sen on then toggled it off, photos will be in the wrong orientation.
If you do a soft-reset without g-sen loaded, pictures are taken correctly.
Solution: if you are using g-sen, make sure it is toggled on before you take a pic.
That's what i found works for me anyway.
I have the exact same situation. But the photos weren't taken with the Diamond, and I have more than a hundred of those. They are, for the greatest part of it, taken in landscape mode and it thinks they are in portrait mode.
Is there a way to change their orientation massivly ? I mean it would take me a life to rotate them one by one.

Place a very large mass next to the diamond, in order to confuse it about which way is down.
It'll be much quicker to alter the orientation on your desktop pc - but it'll have to be a manual one-by-one job. AFAIK, there's no way to do it automatically because it's impossible for any software to know which way up each photo is supposed to be.
Or just use a better viewer without stupid g-sensor usage.
Edit: Another thought... if you change the orientation of some of your pictures (after taking them) then you'll find that they're out of order in the album because the time/date stamps have changed! 3rd party software really is the way to go! /rant
ok, it's been a month, i just found this thread. i have the touch pro but having the same problem. the htc is calibrated just fine. anyway to fix it? htc is so notorius for bugs, can't believe that one slipped.
any better touch oriented album viewer to replace the htc album app? also, would the camera app know to switch to other album prg or always insist of this damn buggy album prg ?
thanks
I've been playing around with the camera settings as I've realized that the X1 camera usually takes very dark photos indoors. I usually use Sport settings, auto-focus as this is the best picture setting for me. But the picture usually comes out dark.
I've tried Twilight setting, auto-focus, and found out that it's pretty good, clear and bright! However the default for Twilight setting is infinite-focus, which I must admit is very blurry.
Is there any registry or .cabs that can fix this default? It would be the best X1 camera setting: Twilight, auto-focus.
Unless someone has a better alternative?
Edit:
I've played around the registry\HKLM\Software\SonyEricsson\Camera but to no avail. Uncertain which one keeps returning the setting to infinite-focus during Twilight after re-opening X1 camera....
something new?
Would like to know the best settings for the x1
i have the R3a update but the framerate in bad light situations sucks
try to use Samsung Omnia Camera to get setting camera good
has someone done that before? is there a thread?
why does no one answer here? so many guys here have the x1...which settings you use for optimal pictures or videos? who tried the omnia camera cab or another one?
probably because not so many people use their x1 anymore. plus it's an old phone, meaning: literally every question has been already answered multiple times.
you can try that omnia-cam, but i doubt it works - different hardware. but try...
apart from that all you can do is play with x1-app, it's better than the htc-app that comes with sense-roms. for lagfree videos it's important that you have a good, fast rom (dynamics, x826). it could also make a difference if you save to main-storage or sdcard (sd being slower than internal memory).
hm the xperia is the phone i daily use so i dont wanne be the testperson^^
is there a thread about this samsung omnia camera-xperia x1?
My suggest:Buy a digital cameral! aha
hoh not funny kim jong il
there must be a solution, maybe in the registry (drivers\Builtin\Camera Sensortype
Hey all...I have been using the STAXX STYLES 6.5 ROM for awhile now...and I just cannot stand this problem anymore. My camera seems to be wayyy off. When I point it at something, the image shown on the screen is indeed what I am looking at, but when I take a picture, it takes an image of like the upper left hand section of the screen at what looks like max zoom. For the life of me I cannot figure out what is the problem. The reason why I havent simply updated ROM's is because I like this one. Yes I know that that is the first step to getting things like this fixed...but I would really like to stay on this one. Anywho, device info here, thanks for any help.

Is this a new problem or has it existed as long as you've had this ROM? You could try hard-resetting this ROM if you haven't done that already.
No, it has always happened on this ROM...which is why I say I know that it could probobly be fixed by a flash..but I REALLY don't want to. I strayed away from this ROM once, and lets just say I don't wanna do that again. I dunno...ive had a half dozen WinMo devices...and once I get a ROM I really like, I don't ever change it. I updated to the newer STAXX STYLE and everything was moved/different...simply put this has the kernel version that I like, and a visual style that I like aswell. So a fix would be great. As far as I remember, this did not occur on a different ROM. So I do not believe that it is the phone itself.
