hi i was wondering if anyone with a rogers htc one, unlocked bootloader and rooted was able to download the ota. if so, how? i tried to relock and install stock recovery but it keeps locking up 1/4 way through the update.
Someone needs to make a flashableble zip...flash this until we get flashable ota...it will give u new kernel and camera much better battery life...back up ur current Rom and flash this over it..use odexed version...

when i install rom manager, download and flash droid 3 recovery, why doesn't work? can look idiot, but i don't like safestrap because i can't flash any rom over stock. when i look at this, i see the stock that remains there like a loss of storage space.
i wanna flash roms over the others. like i've always done with my other phones.
so, could somebody help me pleeease! with links, tips, etc .. thanks!
I believe you need to install and run droid 3 bootstrap, before using rom manager

so, now i'm using milestone 3 bootstrap, modified by junior passos (0.83 from hashcode, if i'm not wrong). i've tried droid 3 bootstrap too (one with red icon). both works.
more one question: there is anyway of remove stock after a new rom flashed on slot-1/flash a new rom over stock, via safestrap 3.x?

I think this is your only option. Need to flash back to stock via fast boot tools. Follow instructions in link above

Asop Pizza ROM was coded to work with SS3 Boot strap recovery. I wouldn't flash any more ROMs until they come out for our situations unlocked and cwm. I know myself I'm waiting for more instructions from the devs and ROMs for unlocked bl's before I flash anything.

Hey guys,
I got my HTC One yesterday with the original firmware which i had to root and unlock with TWRP, i notice there's a new version of the firmware and i know i might end up asking a repetitive question but i was unable to find anything about it (or what i've found was so much that it confused me). I was wondering if someone could shed some digital light on me and point me where i can learn how to upgrade the firmware, can i simply update on the phone or do i have to do anything special because of the TWRP thing? Also is there anything better then the original 4.3 where can i read about it?
thank you!
Anyone???
S-off first using revone s-off and then update TWRP, download and install a sprint 4.3 Rom and then install firmware...I will supply the links for revone and the firmware.

I already have S-off, TWRP. I cant use the OTA 4.3 version, right? Can i go from 4.1.2 to ViperROM 4.3, for example? Or do i have to S-ON, install stock 4.3, flash recovery again with TWRP and S-OFF and then install a custom ROM?
Just download a sprint 4.3 Rom, then update firmware seperately...now I don't think viper one 4.3 is for sprint

Hey, im lost again. I just got to that thread and there's lots of links for S-OFF, with insecure boot, etc... Which i dont know nothing of. The guide is for flashing a firmware with 20Mb size? What's that and whats that for? After i flash that what do i have to do? It just says how to flash that firmware and the second post is the stock ROM. Should i flash the firmware and then let the phone update the OTA?
Just flash the Rom first, then you can fastboot flash the firmware without hboot..the firmware is the update/ota

nevermind, figure it out.
So I finally decided to jump in and root my phone last night. I went through all the steps and put the Nightly build from 3/22/14 on my phone. Now all is good except the prompt to unlock my SIM never showed up. I'm in Germany for a semester abroad and purchased a pre-paid SIM card. So I can't access my SIM which means no service until I figure out how to do it. Luckily, I do have Wi-Fi in my room/building. Any ideas though?
Hi,
There is a CM11 topic in the development section, where you can find info about CM11 on Droid 4.
To use the CM11 on GSM, you should install Mentor's GSM patch (see first post of the CM11 thread) using Safestrap and you should be golden!
Also, if you want the safest way, install a stock ROM and Mentor's ROM after that (can also be found in the development section), it is optimized for GSM networks and also debloated.

Thank you for the response. I'm going to go check it out. Will it give me the pop-up to unlock my locked SIM though? That's what's concerning me right now. I just can't get service until I unlock the actual SIM, but I usually get a nice little pop-up.
Either way, I'm gonna go try it and let you know!
Thanks again.
Yes, you should get a popup to enter PIN, if you install Mentor's patch.
It will also remove the "SIM card is from unknown source" warning.
I don't use CM11, but I'm using stock ROM with Mentor's ROM installed, and in Hungary, it's working fine.
Also note that 4G will not work in Europe, only 2G/3G.

Did you install safestrap? It allows you to switch between Roms. Its pretty damn useful.

Hi every one,
First i'm sorry if i post in wrong place and for my poor english too.
My problem is about my HTC One newly bought, when i try to root it i do had some difficulties (but i succeed finally) any way after that i tried import some data using Titanium backup (contacts, sms, call log)
after importing i reboot it (cuz it's asked) after reboot my phone want turn ON
it just freeze on the Logo !
I wanted to flash the Stock rom (i prefer official rom) BUT ! i couldn't find it (impossible) cuz it's ORANG309 (CID)
hope you will help me to find the rom or if there is an alternative solution I would be very grateful
Thanks.
It's always better not to use titanium backup... You can make a nandroid backup of you have a custom recovery installed... Its always better...
A nandroid backup includes the backups of the following four partitions :
1) system (OS)
2) data (apps and app data)
3) boot (kernel)
4) cache
If you have a nandroid backup you can completely restore the phone to exactly how it was be for it got screwed up... That means you will have all your apps, app data, software software settings everything... Exactly how it was ....

The reason your device won't boot up is because there is something wrong with the boot partition .. I.e there is something wrong with the kernel ...
So you just have to flash a stock kernel again.. there is no need to flash the whole Rom
Download the boot.img file and flash it using fastboot
Use the command
fastboot flash boot (name of your boot file).img
And hit enter
That's it

Thank's so much for your quick and really usefull answer, i will try as soon as i can (probably in 2 or 3 hours) and reply about result
Thank's a lot.
Anytime.... Any doubts please feel free

Euh a stupid question please
from where do i get a stock Kernel, is it specific for every CID ? (for me ORANG309)
or i can put any one ?
You can
Flash any kernel is that is compatible with sense...
I suggest you choose elemental X kernel
It is a zip file so it is more easier.. you can directly flash it from your recovery...

I just unlock the bootloader once agains, and every thing seems to be OK (the fone reset to factory)
I don't understund anything
i'm afraid if i try to import one more time the Titanium backup (cuz i have save it frome another fone a while a go) i will have one more time the problem :/
Is the phone booting now???
