in order to install modules
first download the module you want to install.
then with the help of root explorer put that module into
/system/lib/modules
(do not forget to click on remount as rw on the top left corner of root explorer)
once done this,
go to /system/etc/hwconfig.sh
long press on that and then choose open file as text editor
now in the beginning of file type
insmod /system/lib/modules/modulename.ko
(here modulename means the name of module you want to install...
now
go to terminal emmulator and type
su ( in order to initiate super user request)
dmesg | grep modulename
press enter
then reboot and you are done.
Press thanks if I helped

How to setup a fully working android kitchen for our device ? I mean setting a fully working file for partitions of Mini2 and everything ok. If someone can help me please post here !
We can just try to mod an existent kitchen, or try to make a new one based on existent
So I downloaded the GB rom fron Samfirmware , extracted all contents from it ( system.img.ex4 / boot.img / etc ) , extracted files from system.img.ext4 and maybe I'll decompile kernel if needed, but how to do it from this point?
I already made some progress :d deodex rom + root ( not supersu ) + busybox + wipe data on install + zipalign getting better, huh?

which base rom are you using friend?
I used S6500DXXLC4
I've made a semi kitchen using VBox ArchLinux
It was easier to use Ubuntu LTS.
I prefer to use a command line environment If you want i've got simg2img and make_ext4fs precompiled (they can be used to convers system.img.ext4 to a real ext4 partition, and repack a directory into a file.img.ext4)
There is an Ubuntu Server Edition ( for command-line only ) or you can install Ubuntu and remove the GNOME ( the launcher ) to have only terminal-mode or I think I saw an Ubuntu special for command-line..
I'm interested in this Kitchen thing. I think doing it for the NFC firmware should be too different than non-NFC firmware? Best firmware would be S6500XXLD2 (DBT), as it supports OC and has Polish language.
The best firmware would be one that has Arabic support , and no, NFC is only a different Kernel and some modified system apps.
CM10 Firmware has Arabic support and also NFC (not sure about this), anyway in wich language are you developing this kitchen?
Is based on English, but I want to make it very easy to use and very powerful, and by powerful I mean building a rom that supports everything .
EDIT : CM10 has NFC suport, I was the first who asked about TheWhisp about the NFC feature..
hi,
as I understand, the only way to permanently mount the samba network share, is using CIFS modules:
is there an 'easy' way (at least easier the this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=35189120&highlight=cifs+ko#post35189120 ) to 'get' CIFS modules work with stock rom/roms?
PS.
1. I know that there is a lot o file managers able to view samba share.
2. CM10 has CIFS modules and Yank555.lu kernel made by ausdim (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2167091&highlight=cifs), but what I'm intrested is stock rom
I've known this Fly On tweak for a long time. I used it first on a poor Samsung Galaxy Ace with GingerBread. At first, it was a script and you had to install it with the Terminal and you also needed to install BusyBox but, now it's available as an app here.. It does its trick by adding init.d script executing on boot and adding tweaks to improve performance.
How is it performing on our device? Did you noticed any real improvement or any flaws?
Moto X Play nice

I haven't seen any flaws yet but the main benefit I can see is with RAM management. Apps are dropped out of RAM less often so they open quicker when you need them because they are already in RAM. I chose not to install the entropy seeder tweak because it appears that it may not be as useful as some people may think.
I found out it was just a placebo effect, the app install a few scripts in a new init.d folder created in /system/etc but init.d isn't supported with the default kernel on the Moto X Play.

Doesn't say it supports init.d so I'd assume no

I'm not sure about init support but I used universal init d support but I'm on the squid kernel and squid kernels quite buggy . and I think fly on mod has it I'm not sure .
Thanks. This works great. I dont like the ram management
