Is that a problem since you bought the phone? Or did it just happen? Maybe there's too much "stuff" (like dust) in it.

I've had the same issue but only with a certain set of cheap headphones I have at work. It bare stays in and if I so much as touch the phone, they pop out. They don't quite sit in all the way.
My other headphones (steel series gaming headphones) they stay in no problem.
Don't know what to tell you. Not sure why it's like that.

I also have the same issue !!!!

I had the same problem but i´ve solved it. I had a lot of dust in the jack from the jeans, I just used small wire to put it out and it helped.

Most likely it's fried.
You just put a lot more voltage into that circuit than it was designed to handle. Best case scenario is some sort of fuse is blown that can be replaced. My guess is that it's not going to work like that, although someone more knowledgeable about small electronics would probably be able to speak with more authority than me.
If you're still under warranty or have insurance, you could try flashing back to stock and taking it to a warranty center.
It's only $20 to replace, I did it, easy.

Sony ericsson and other brands switched the pins on the headset plug so you can only use that specific plug. You need a converter in order to make them work.. I know, it sucks.. There is a thread about that somewhere.
Edit: here.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1480071
This only affects headphones with microphone.

damn. but thanks anyway.
I had the same problem with my old skull candy headphones that had a mic.
I solved it by ripping the plasstic cover up abit thats on the jack. so it pushes in deeper on ur phone.

DIY official dock car mount

I really liked the fact the dock could do audio out and charge via the pogo pins, so I figured that would be perfect in the car. When I got the dock, I couldn't find a good spot to mount it....until now. The completed setup works awesomely!
All you need for this project is a metal bookend and some JB weld.
Bookend
Dock attached with JB Weld
Piece removed from the cover bezel
Wires fed to where the back of the dock will be
All I did here was wedge the bookend between the radio and dash kit, and then attached the cables for power/audio
BACK TO THE PRIMITIVE!!!!

What's so bad about it? At least I don't have to plug anything in or butcher my nexus like most "clean" installs.

I don't see anything wrong with it, it looks clean to me. There isn't any damage or anything sticking out...

I guess his idea of contributing is going into threads and complaining for no reason.

Nice ... as long as you do not drive ..
Works fine when driving. The pins actually make better contact if the tablet is pushed slightly forward, so I bent the vertical part of the bookend to keep it slightly forward. Plus the rubber on the rear of the nexus making contact with it seems to create enough friction to keep it from popping up.
WARNING: Turn down your volume.
Good to know this works. I was planning on doing something a bit similar, but slowly building it up to be cleaner in the end. The dock will be an integral part, though.
Do you have any trouble keeping the tablet charged? I know people have no problems if they use one of the recommended chargers from the charger thread, but I wasn't sure if the dock may hinder or slow down charging any.
Awesome! Thanks man

Well I have it set to keep the screen awake while charging, so it does still drain the battery. It really isn't bad though. Barely goes down. The speed of the charging seems equivalent to charging via usb connection, rather than the wall charger.

I get really bad sound distortion using the tablet with the dock in the car, did you have the same issues?

Sorry for not responding for so long. I did have a bit at first when going over bumps, but over time it stopped. I think it's because the pins springy-ness calmed down over time. Also, the bookend helps keep the tablet from moving, because the rubber backing of the tablet makes contact with it and keeps it from too much. So over time, this setup has ended up working perfectly.
I have the same setup. Do you constantly have to enable media output to dock? When I start mine up each time I have to go into the sound settings and fix this.

What do you recommend?
You might have dust in your headphone port. Try to see if there's any dirt in there and blowing it out might be Able to clear it up.

They're headphones. They will plug in. The only thing that would cause them to not work would be a case that obstructs the fitment of the jack to the port. I've plugged in many different head phones from cheap $2 sets to PowerBeats by Dre as well as Studio by Dre.

I understand that they have the required 8th inch adapter but I was just making sure because some reviewers of these headphones had problems with certain devices. Thanks again

Well I've never used them, but as long as it has 3.5mm connection or adapter it should work.

1) I moved this thread to the Q&A forum.
2) I've used the AT-M50s on every phone I've had and they work fine except the TPU case on some pushes out the headphone jack sometimes. So I take a razor and make the headphones hole a bit bigger on my case. Other than that you should have no issues.
These are still my favorite headphones, way better than any of the Beats and even the Bose in this price range. If they were a big smaller I would wear them at the gym, but for at home listening these headphones rule the world.

Oh thanks. Quick question, I've heard the burn in time for these headphones is super long. Do they still sound good out of the box or is it alright and then much better after use?

They sound really good out of the box.
The burn in time isn't incredibly long, I put some decent hours on mine and they just get better and better, but out of the box I found the sound quality to still be superior to any other cans in that class.
