I was wondering if anyone knew a way to remove the black background of the 4x1 sense clock/weather widget. This would make it match the one on the lock screen. Would be really awesome if there is a way to do this.
Also as a second thought is there a way to remove the background on the rosie bar as well but leave the line that is on top of it. This would make it look similar to the top bar (as a separate patch from the clock one)
Thanks in advance for any replies!

For weather clock bg its in htcweatherclockwidget clock_weather_panel and for the dock its in prism home_nav_bar_bg both are jpgs in stock and must be turned into a png and then apply transparency to them

Thank you for the reply!
I've never modded android files before is there a certain color that represents transparent or do I just bring it into photoshop and delete the background?
Once i have modded these files do I leave them as PNGs with the same title or do I have to make them jpgs again (which I don't think support transparency but I could be wrong)
Sorry I'm a novice at this.
Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Things I have tried to no avail (I'm noob)
1) exporting the files from the APKs converting to PNG and making it transparent then saving them in the APK as PNG (removing the old jpg)
2) This did not work so I then tried renaming the PNG back to .jpg still keeping the exact title then tried both flashing a zip and manually overwriting the file and rebooting still did not work (manually replacing the APK just caused HTC to crash over and over until I flashed my backup)
3) tried using a morph app that was recommended elsewhere on the forum (NinjaMorph) applied the file change, no change appears on the clock still solid background

basically it modifies the apk existing already on the system, so for example 4.2 sense 5 might have the same widget but since it's upgraded firmware the apk in this zip might not work or FC, so the VR theme would decompile the apk replace any of the changed files then recompile the apk in line so it works on any number of devices/roms/ect

I see.. for me it's not that easy since i'm still new to this. Anyway, could you do that vrtheme to make the apk work with the One S? That would really be great, since i can't find in the playstore the exact look of the widgets in sense5.. maybe the only way is to port the widgets directly from the files from the One..
I'm looking forward to the vrtheme you would be making. Thanks so much. Kudos to you!

That thread you posted worked great. Any idea how to change up the icons?
If I were to supply the icons, would someone be able to swap them out? I'm assuming the icons are embedded in the jar file... if anyone can guide on where I can find out how to edit the jar file, I'd appreciate it. The jar file is all that I am pushing to my phone and the icons are still changing on the power menu so they must be in there somewhere.
Help a guy learn! ;p
The actual system icons are only in framework-res.apk and no where else. For Sense roms, there are also some in com.htc.resources.apk. There are only references to them in the framework (jar) files.
Holy ****... how in the hell is it possible that flashing that hotboot zip in the thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=792542
I flashed that and all of my icons were different... black and white only and different graphics. I'll post a screenshot shortly.
Here we go.. Is the jar file maybe referencing different png files?
Edit: can't upload this format. I'll convert it when I'm on the computer.

I think that while you use tw, it will be the same for apps like root explorer, my files and so on. some of the roms are themed so that may be why it looks different. can't really say as I prefer just plain stock, and even with holo launcher hd it uses the tw colors when opening apps.

Cross posting this from the International thread:
Guess the title says it all really.
As some of you are aware, HTC removed many of the full page widgets in Sense 5. However, they seem to have added most of those back in the Sense 5 rom just released for the One X. Amazingly, despite the difference in screen resolution, they all work on the One with little to no modding required.
I thought I'd package them up into a flashable zip, for those who want them.
You can get the download link and bug list on my International forum thread....sorry for the pinballing, but easier for me to keep an eye on one thread!

***Since the Sprint One uses a different partition for /system, I'm not 100% sure if the zip will flash properly for you guys. If anyone tries, please let me know. Nandroid first, just in case***
Good news...
The zip flashes and installs the widgets correctly.
Bad news...
None of them work The only one that doesn't ***** when added to the tab is the photo gallery, however, it doesn't function correctly.
Tested on ViperOne.

Theming the dialer to the extent of the one in that ROM is far from easy, you'd be better downloading the ROM and using the dialer from it ... Although I imagine it requires themed framework files aswell to look like that.

Not sure you will get the full themed look mate as it has themed framework files which, if flashed, would replace the ones from your current ROM which would most likely affect any Mods you use that require the same frameworks and/or apps. You can just drag the dialer and phone apps out of the ROM and try flashing them on their own but they are from a different base so there's no guarantee they'd work ... Check this thread, that's the RGUI ROM for the one but you'd have to install it to use the built in kitchen app to download the theme
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2318947
Personally, I'd request a themed dialer from this thread as the OP does some awesome work when it comes to theming ... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2360865

That dialer is not belonged to MIUI instead it is sense dialer only. I guess ROHIT stopped making roms for sense. If you have his ROM, then you can extract all the pngs from drawable's folder of contacts & phone.apk and copy to the existing phone.apk & contacts in the corresponding folders. Later decompile the respective apks and go to colors .xml and change the color to blue for the sub text. You can get the color code from the RGUI decompiled apks's though. After compiling back, you can push the apk through adb and then reboot!
Infact ROHIT (dev of RGUI) did shared all his white themeing files with me , but i was too lazy to do the themeing though!

I followed your post from my thread to here. It's a basic white keyboard that has the colors in xml edited slightly. It wouldn't take much to theme but you can't send over the images as there are xml coding in a few different places that needs to be added to the apk. The colors will not affect system as they are apk related only. The problem is you need to theme both the Phone.apk and Dialer.apk.

Cheers...

It depends. It looks like a Sense ROM. You can pull the Dialer and Phone apk from the zip and add into system/apps and see if that works. Make a back up of your original ROM first.
