Language - problem - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi.
ive got htc one about week. Ive changed it from galaxy s3, and im suprised coz there is no polish language. All my previous android phones had polish language and many more but in htc one is only english, german, french etc (around 10 languages)
Is there any chance to add polish language or another rom with polish language without rooting?

First: Please do not double post. I removed your second identical thread.
Second: I don't see your problem. If you have stock European HTC One, you should have nearly every language of this world in it. I just looked in mine and find nearly 20 versions of Polski.
Under settings - language - system language there are hundreds of languages available. They come from android, so why should that be different between HTC and Samsung?

Thanks for removing my second post. I've put it in wrong place and I cant find option to remove it. Honestly I've got only English, German,French,Spanish and Italian ( maybe two or three of each).

So nobody can help me? English is not a big problem for me but i prefer polish

localized ROMs
I will never understand why people are into localized languages in their roms.
For me, as beeing german, translations of technical things are always a mess. Sometimes I have to re-retranslate the words (german- english - german) to figure out, what could be meant. And sometimes the translations are so bad that they are complete nonsense! The reason for this is pretty obvious: Translaters are not technicians.
Nope, I prefer WWE, Software- and MenuNames, as invented.....

Not as brilliant as Italians... we do not use CREAM and MAYONNAISE to hide our recipe errors or to enrich an otherwise poor taste...
A proud Italian cook!

LMAO
I agree, Italian food is fantastic
Italian and mexican...thats the way food should be cooked
Just to totally hijack the the thread
Mexican is good, but they tend to use a lot of spices to cover their asses.
Almost every dish I have tried in the Mexican kitchen consists of some kind of minced meat or chicken and two tons of mixed spices. Love it though.
Italian food is the best. Although a bit heavy on the pasta.
French food tends to be a bit "over the top". Fancy dishes with little actual food.
Norwegian food is terribly boring, both to look at and to eat but it is nutritious.
I used to prefer the "original" English versions of all software, but since most of our customers use localized versions it is handy to know what they are talking about and also handy to give proper directions.
Yes I prefer also an English operating system but it goes a bit further...
Somethimes its not very Practical to buy lets say an PDA with an English rom if you live in France or in Germany. Yes you could buy them via the internet...and then when you need a waranty repair, what happens then?
A while ago I bought a second hand Herald with a Dutch WM5 on it. Great but then it broke down...as I live in France I had 2 options. Send my phone to Belgium or send it to France. The negative feedback and procedures of waranty repairs in Belgium made me decide to go for France...
I had my phone back in a bit more than a week, it took them 7 working days...Not bad hé!
But they changed my Belgian phone...It came back with a French keyboard and a French WM6 on it! No problem, I whas going to sell this one and so I can sell it easy in France now.
So i bought another one...from Switserland (a bit cheaper there) with a German rom...I would prefer English but I can also live with German. And gues what, if it brakes down(touch wood!!!!) I bring it back to the shop...they can f*ck about with sending it in for waranty...

Changing language of ROM?

Hey,
Just a simple question. Planning on buying a TyTN II next week. Problem is it will have Dutch software, which I really dislike. Will HTC offer me the possibility to update my TyTn to an English ROM?
Thanks & Greetz
Spike

I'll send you the english and you send me the dutch

[Q] Languages available on O2 - HD7 ?

Please, can someone with an HTC HD7 bought from O2 in UK, tell me the languages available in it ?
Because on "First boot videos of O2 HD7 on You Tube, I just saw : English, German and Spanish .... but on WP7 it was supposed to have more languages, as French, Dutch, Italian ....
Thanks a lot for your help
It only comes with English, German and Spanish.
I would expect o2 have locked out other languages to stop people importing it? They offer it in Germany which explains the German option and Telfonica who own o2 are Spanish afaik.

Thanks , now it's clear
I don't care for myself ( I'll get mine in 3 days), but a friend of mine non-english speaking (just french) will know now that she have to buy the HD7 in France, with just 8 Go , because O2 got the European exclusivity for 16 Go storage, as I read ....

[Q] How easy is it to change the language (no rooting, etc.)?

Hi,
A friend wants to buy an Incredible S which is not in English (but she wants it in English). Unfortunately I won't be around to help her (I have a rooted desire HD and it's very easy to change the interface language).
On a default install of the Incredible S, is this as simple as selecting English in some language menu item?
Thanks

Just can't get the correct meaning. Do you mean that your friend hasn't bought IS yet?
She hasn't bought it yet. The website states that the interface is not in English and I'm just curious as to how easy it would be to change it to English without rooting, etc. Basically, does the default Android make it easy to change language?
Where do your friend will buy? If it is in one of the Europe Countries, YES, you can change to English.
If not, just go to Market and download "MoreLocale2" it can help you to change to other languages, without any rooting or S-OFF required.
awesome thanks. she is buying it in an EU country, yes, so hopefully it will be very easy, but an app isnt a big deal either

English(UK) language

Hi,
I have just bought a HTC One 64GB 801s. I live in England and everything is fine with the phone apart from the fact the only languages in English I can select are either US or Australian. Is there anyway I can port over a UK language pack to the phone? I have done a search through the threads but cannot find anything relevant.
Thanks
**Bump** Does anyone know if this is possible without rooting?

Strange, mine had English (UK) both on stock, and now on ARHD. Did you check the entire list, because the Languages aren't "really" sorted so
- English (United States)
- English (UK)
don't appear close to each other.
You could try MoreLocale on the Play Store but not used it in years
Is it really a problem,as australians and americans speak english anyway
Sent from my 801n M7_UL
Thanks for the response. Have just double checked and there are only 5 to choose from. English in Australian, New Zealand or US and two others that look like mandarin.
