i used to have HTC desire z and 3g works fine,
and I went to shop, change my sim card to micro sim card so that i can use it in HTC ONE
BUT, everything works perfect excepted 3g
mobile network only can find T-mobile 2g network and at&t 2g/3g/4g network when i search the network operators
and i am not going to do roaming.
I tried to change VPN but it doesn't work
I also tried tweakker, but for some reason, it kept saying my wifi didn't connect to internet but it did connect to internet..
so could somebody help me
i didn't root my phone yet, and the rom is official rom
Software number 1.29.1540.16
thanks

You're not going to like this answer, but the unlocked HTC one lacks the 1700 band needed for T-Mobile 3G. The good news is T-Mobile is in the process of reforming their network so your phone should get 3G by quarter 3 2013. Until then you could try an AT&T mvno or return it and buy one from T-Mobile that has the required bands.

Unlocked HD7

I have an HD7 from T-Mobile supplied to me by my company for testing. I reside in Canada and would like to use this phone with my Bell Mobility account so I have successfully unlocked the HD7 based on the instructions provided to me from T-Mobile. I worked with Bell on getting the phone on the network and no matter what the technician did the phone always showed "No Service".
According to the Bell Website it says:
"Your device must be compatible - it must be HSPA (or UMTS) and 850 MHz and 1900 MHz compatible."
The T-Mobile specs shows the following:
"850 MHz;900 MHz;1800 MHz;1900 MHz;UMTS: Band I (2100);UMTS: Band IV (1700/2100)"
The odd thing I find is that Bell Mobility released the HTC HD7 as one of their products a couple of weeks ago. So why wouldn't this phone just work on their network? Currently using it with my T-Mobile SIM it roams on the Rogers network so I assume that clearly states that the phone whould work with a Rogers SIM card, useless for me.
Is there anyway to get this phone to work with the Bell network? Would a custom ROM help in this situation?
Thanks!
Huh. I would not expect "no service" I would expect that you get 2G service but definitely not 3G.
I have used my unlocked TMOUS HD7 abroad and got 2G service in places w/o 2100 UMTS (similar to your situation Canada).

you could try the above site to unlock your phone
they worked for me was on O2 uk and got unlock code within less then 10 mins..
It wont work, as bell doesnt have a 2G GSM network bell uses it old CDMA network for 2G service and EVDO Rev A, for 3G along side its newly released HSPA+ network which runs on the 850Mhz band. As such a Tmobile US HD7 wont work with Bell, it will work on Rogers on its 2G GSM network. For you to use any new devices on Bell's HSPA network they would have to be from the following Carriers Telstra(Australia), ATT(USA), Rogers(CAN), Telus(CAN). Note for Telus they will have to be newer HSPA+ devices.
However as a side note you can run your TMobile HD7 on the new carriers, such as Videotron, WIND Mobile, Moblicity. All three carries use advance wireless service (AWS) frequencies.

[Q] Unbranded unlocked Milestone cannot connect to data service on AT&T or T-Mobile

[Q] Unbranded unlocked Milestone cannot connect to data service on AT&T or T-Mobile
I bought a M1 off Amazon about 5 months ago. I don't have a data plan in my home country as my SIM is company provided without data. I get by with wifi most of the time. Over Christmas while in Miami, I tried my nephew's T-Mobile SIM from his HTC and I tried an AT&T SIM with $5 data - and neither would connect to EDGE or 3G. The phone could still make calls though. Anyone have any idea why that would be? I have no clue as to what region the phone would belong to -so I do not know what GSM frequencies it operates on. Motorola's website specs says that the GSM version operates on 850/900/1800/1900 MHz - and supposedly AT&T 3G operates on 850 7 1900 MHz -so I can't figure it out. Could it be something software/firmware related?
It's a APN issue if you can make calls but cannot connect to mobile data. Check your provider's APN configuration. (Just google it.)
yeah. check your apn. for stock rom and some other mods apns cant be configured automaticly

EXT Network issue Canada

Hi, looking for some assistance (again). I have had issues with getting the correct data network on my phone.
The phone is a HTC One M7, I bought it sim free in the UK.
I have put a virgin mobile sim card in the phone and the only network that comes up is EXT, when I try to connect it states that my SIM is not allowed a connection to this network. This only happens where I stay which is out of town. I had the same issue with a TELUS sim too. The only one that works is a Rogers one but I only get EDGE.
In the city they all work fine giving me LTE or HSPA+.
Please could somebody assist?

[Q] No 4G reception

Have a S3 LTE, it was originally on EE, but unlocked it to use on giffgaff (runs on o2 network)
but i'm not getting any 4G reception even tho we have it in our area. its only showing H+ next to the signal.
its rooted and on android 4.3,
any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
uhm... wrong apn? Is you simcard 4g ready, and your 4g service provisioned? (i had to replace the simcard and activate 4G on vodafone PT)
All GG sim cards are 4G ready so if your sim card is issues within last4 month's it be 4G. Next you need to take out a 4G bundle package to be able to use the 4G services otherwise it just be 3G..

[Q] Is there a way to connect to a 4g LTE gsm network with the m7 international?

I have a HTC ONE that I used on cellcoms cdma network. I want to use that phone on net 10s gsm network. the phone is unlocked and i get service with the net 10 sim. everything works fine except the 2g data speeds. does this phone not have the radio for lte on a gsm network? Any help would be great!
Thanks, Bruce.
