LTE setting on Three?

Hi,
Got my XZ in white earlier today, it's a beauty, easily the best looking Android phone over ever used! Battery seems to go quickly, but I have used it a lot lol! Back gets pretty warm when using it alot, getting worried.
But reason for this post is I can't find the LTE settings on my phone, on the demo one I used in three, its under mobile networks, network mode. Mine shows GSM and WCDMA no LTE, the demo one I used in three had LTE as a third option.
Can anyone else confirm this with theirs, both three and non three handsets.
Will the LTE option come after three launch LTE to prevent users accidentally selecting it maybe?

So it appears that the phone does support LTE after checking the band's in the service menu, LTE is listed, panic over!

Got my XZ from Sonymobile and is sim free, under mobile networks I see
WCDMA ONLY
GSM ONLY
WCDMA (preferred)/GSM
LTE (preferred)/WCDMA/GSM

Thanks for that, I don't get the last option must be the three software on here that has disabled it.
Could you plead check to see if your configuration screen in services look like this below, you can see it in the services menu, type *#*#7378423#*#* then go to service info then config.

Yep its all the same except mine just says boot loader unlockable YES

Mine also doesn't have the lte option on three rom. I presume they will push an update out and hype how they've 'unlocked its potential' or some other silly hype.

Mine doesnt show it either on 3. Anyone spoke to them yet?

Cheers all! It looks like they will push an update at some point, anyone know how to check if we are receiving UltraFast Internet? DC-HSDPA?

I'm on three but got a sim free phone, with my three sim I don't have a LTE option however put in my EE sim and I get the LTE option. Must be a setting thing that the network needs to push out.

Maybe we need a new sim to enable it? Unlikely but possible.

looking in the build.prop
ro.semc.version.fs=HUTCH-LTE
suggests this rom is labelled as lte...

So it is just disabled atm then?

Its a profile thing, when you insert the sim for the first time it downloads carrier specific settings, with my three sim I get no LTE but put a EE sim in the phone it downloads new settings and LTE appears and the phone shows LTE in the signal bar

So when three launch LTE we will receive new Sims then.

Possibly or the existing SIM cards will be provisioned for LTE and just work. A simple OTA update (via SMS) can adjust settings on a SIM card.
I really hope the existing cards will work as I have some PAYG cards and don't want to mess around changing them.

Don't press the call button, as long as you have inputted the code correctly after the last * it should take you into the services menu.
3 have just said this year, hopefully it will be asap, but their Ultra-fast internet (DC-HSDPA) is out now in nearly 80% of the UK which gives us nearly similar speeds to EE's LTE. Do a coverage check on their network to see if you are in the Ultrafast area.

[Q] i9305N LTE not working

Hi there! I'm sorry if there already is such a thread but I couldn't find anything quite like this.
I bought this i9305N second hand and it had the famous IMEI problem 00/02. I went to a service center and there they were able to restore the IMEI of the device. And the phone was able to connect to the 3G as normal but not the 4G network. I've never seen the 4G working on this phone and have no idea what to try. What I tried was:
different modem firmwares.
flashed CM 10.1 and again tried those modems.
tried to set the phone to lte only via the *#197328640# code.
I think that in Sweden this phone is supposed to work on only the tele2 and telenor 4g network. I've tried sim cards from both operators.
Has anyone experienced something like this? Does anyone have an idea what is happening and what I can try?

Does yr provider support 4G?yr sim card support 4G? If all above Yes then yr area doesn't support 4G or the coverage of 4G very poor till none.

my operator supports 4G. There is 4G coverage and I've tried cards from every carrier here on contract and prepaid.

Try a phone wipe and install the stock firmware for your network .

Note joke you would be surprised at the number of muppets on here who don't check the basics .
I would find your network providers latest firmware and flash either the firmware or the modem .

Just out of curiosity, have you tried cards confirmed to be on 4G-enabled contracts? I had to call Tele2 and ask them to change my contract over to a 4G one before I would receive 4G speeds. Another silly thing you could check is if the phone is actually connecting to the 4G APN, for Tele2 this would be 4g.tele2.se.

Hi! This is the thing! I havent found a card with confirmed 4G on it. I was told that sim cards on contract have 4G enabled on them. I was wondering if there is some sort of a tool to scan networks around and see information about them like what freq and speed etc... I am using my comviq card now in the phone with the apn that you mentioned and that was set automatically as the phone is with the tele2 firmware. The most brutal thing was when I went to the tele2 office and asked for a 4g activated sim to try on my phone and they said that they don't have any!!!! I went to the telenor shop and when I asked for a demo sim card with 4G so that I can test my phone and he gave me a 3G prepaid card. After 10 minutes of changing settings and stuff on my phone I asked him if that card has 4G on it at all he said - no, its just a 3G. I am going a bit of topic but my point is that it is extremely hard for me to find out where the problem is.

My point is how are you planning to use 4G on the phone if you do not have a 4G contract? I mean, why all the fuss if you cannot use it anyway?

I want to be sure that the phone works on 4G after the reparation before getting a 4G contract.

Find someone with a 4G contract and ask to test his SIM in your phone.

I had a friend enable lte on his contract and then tried the sim on my phone. LTE didn't kick in. I don't know what it could be. Any suggestions please?

Hi.
I live in the "kära grannlandet" Finland and i had to call my operator to put my i9305 as my active phone.
(They change the ownership of the phone on their computer)
I bought my phone 2hand but it was factory sealed new. operator locked to the same operator that i use.
The phone was "active" to somebody else without 4G so thats why it didnt work for me.

My friend had similar issues with his S2, I went into the phone options menu using the #xx# number and the phone itself was not set to lte mode. I am sure you can find the menu codes somewhere on the forums as I don't have them memorized. It is worth checking if you have not done so.

[Q] HTC One - Network unlock - EE/Orange UK

Hey guys, I've just recently purchased a HTC One on PayAsyouGo. But I am currently on a Three contract.
I was wondering if it is possible to unlock it to all networks for free or if there is an guide that I can follow to unlock it.

Have you tried your contract sim in it?
If you have and it doesn't work then you'll have to contact the original carrier for a sim unlock code

I'd try another SIM first, if it's not already you can buy unlock codes off eBay for about £3

I've already tried, I placed an orange sim, which worked fine, then after I tried a three sim car, which unfortunately asked for a network code.
Can you link me to a code on ebay.

Cheers mate, I've ordered it, received and unlocked it within an hour.

Bought A HTC One on ebay..having problems

I bought a htc one on ebay and I was able to activate the phone no problem and it works but im having a few issues. The biggest issue is that the phone network operator name is HTC and not sprint. So when you are at your lock screen it says htc at the top instead of sprint. Then I noticed that under mobile network settings I don't have roaming control or data guard or any of those settings....they simply are not there. I'm guessing I don't see those options because of the network operator name is htc and not sprint. Ive done a factory reset and no go....did the whole prl and profile updates.
Is this phone unlocked maybe? It has a sprint sim card. Anyone have any clue as to what is going on?

It sounds like it maybe a unlocked HTC One I'm not sure to be honest with you, does it register Sprints LTE network?

Yea it registers on the 4g LTE network. Again the biggest problem is that I have no options for roaming, data guard, international roaming etc

Sm-950f/ds not showing lte on tmobile

So I got the Dual Sim version of the Note 8 and popped in a T-Mobile SIM. I've been using it and I love it, but one thing that bothers me is that I've never seen my phone display LTE. It's always 4G. Is this a glitch or is this how it's supposed to be? Any help would be appreciated.

you may need to flash the T-Mobile CSC

4G is LTE in other countries, in USA they call it LTE, its normal since you are probably getting LTE but it only shows 4G icon. My Samsung SM-T819Y on T Mobile does the same thing, connects to the T Mobile LTE network but only shows 4G. No problems with speeds and connectivity.
So to answer your question, its normal and supposed to be like that.

Are you in the United States? If so, what state?
Can you get a speed test?

Hi Everyone,
I am having issues with my device i have the MS-950f/DS bought it in Singapore Airport,
I am living in Houston Texas 77054 , the APN is default one, I have 4g ok but when trying to make a call it throws a message that says: Not registered in red.
To make a call i have to change the network to 3g/2g and then it works.
It does not happen when i am at work. Maybe the signal i can get at home is different. I went to T mobile and they said that everything looks good.
I dont know what to do..

Hmmm. Change the APNs to the default Tmobile one. Reboot phone.
Report back your results.

Flash the T-Mobile firmware. It will include the csc.
