Try to reboot bootloader in ADB before re-flash, maybe it helps...

Before flashing kdz try wiping data/factory reset and format system. After that turn off the device from recovery and flash kdz. Ofcourse dont forget to backup ur stuff.

hi
i was updating my phone with standard method with lg program.. (without downloading kdz file separately)
but an error occurred in 15% , " ..
"problem communication between cell and phone"
and my phone has locked in s/w upgrade mod and don't turn on.. even if i put the battery off and insert it again it turn on , in s/w upgrade mod...
please help..
If it's still at 15 % it shouldnt even have started flashing U are lucky so to say
Just pull out USB and battery, wait a few seconds and restart. Then try to install the latest drivers, maybe run it as admin or another PC if available.
If it's stuck in bootloop, try emergency recovery in B2C tool (LG update tool), or read in my noob how to, how to unbrick devices.
Also this thread needs to be in Q&A
I was using 64bit PC and had the same problem then I used another PC and the problem was gone
Had the same problem. Resolved using emergency recovery in LG tool, but using another pc.

Ok so I've had this problem for a few weeks now and have tried everything to repair it but still no luck. Here is a description of my problem.
- No IMEI
- No Bluetooth
- Cannot flash using LG Mobile Support Tool (fails during installation at 15% every time, get message saying the update tool cannot communicate with phone.
- Flashing with KDZ updater always errors out early in the install process.
- LG Smart Flash fails at waiting for IFX Modem.
- LG Flash tool fails at waiting for IFX Modem.
- Phone powers on and works I have tried using GB and Froyo doesn't make any difference.
I am currently running stock rooted Froyo. I have tried the restore IMEI method but no help, no new device installs when selecting CP Image download.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Similar Problem.
What can I do?

I fixed the boot but i can't flash anything nor repair mu IMEI
Hi all,
I just got my new 4x HD. I have 4.0.3 (V10f non-European) on it, and want to use PC Suite to upgrade to 4.1.2 (V20c). After connecting my phone to PC, I start the PC Suite and start update. It confirms the version, and download the firmware. When it starts to update at 4% it reboots to S/W Upgrade mode. After it goes up to 5% and shows an error, and the update process stops. Tried it several times same error at the same time. I have tried with LG Mobile Support Tool, and it stops at 5% again. I have windows 8 x64 with all drivers and both softwares up-to-date. Does anyone has solution? Does anyone have the same problem?
Before update make sure you select LG Software
Then try to reinstall all drivers.
If it also not work use KDZ to flash v20x. In General Section there is a Tutorial

Your only chance is (in my view) to restore backup, if you have any, from an external device only then you can get your IMEI back. Otherwise look for a thread with same problem where someone posted some options.
Good luck.
Same thread. A little search would've helped: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2786001

Did you unlock your bootloader first using OEM unlock and fastboot before flashing the bootloader?
Try this,
Download the MM kdz file for your phone here,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/guide-lg-g4-stock-firmware-to-stock-kdz-t3107848
Then follow the instructions EXACTLY on the following link and attempt flashing the kdz, install the DLL first then LGUP and follow the instructions to do a full wipe and install MM,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/help/lgup-install-kdz-mm-lp-t3249803
After that, follow the instructions on the following link to unlock your bootloader.

That doesn't work if it does I'd be delighted to know how
Secure boot error 1003 means you only have download mode to boot into
Likely lg up tool will either not see your device or it will say model unknown.
I've been sitting secure boot error bricked for a week with no explanation on fixing the Unknown device model issue with that tool.

Try uninstalling LG up, the DLL, and LG bridge from your computer. Reboot, and start over. You are entering download mode with LG UP correctly right? First, install DLL then LG UP. Turn off phone and with LG UP running, plug in usb cable to computer and into phone, remove battery from phone and put battery back in and the phone should enter download mode automatically. Follow the rest of the instructions in the LG UP thread to flash the kdz. You can flash the stock kdz with a locked bootloader. Your PC is the problem. If you manage to flash the kdz, be patient. It reboots several times. Don't unplug it during this process.

Trust me I wanna believe my PC is the issue I do
So much that I'm reformatting my PC Just to get it to work .
But I'm scared to think that relocking the boot loader screws up what PC driver settings were reading from the phone such as mtp mode.
So the question is how do you get a PC to recognize download mode with drivers does download mode Still REACH a signal across to the PC.
Are these a special set of lg drivers or Lg bridge drivers which are called Lg air driver update that bridge tool forces you to update too .
What makes you think also that This Unknown model is going to go away its already been stated that it remains because If you was on a ROM and not stock this occurs and no way around it .
I'm not saying lg up doesn't see my device it just sees it and detects model unknown so what I'm saying is the pc and Lg up tool is actually seeing the Lg g4 but just reading it as a Unknown model which then prompts you to choose correct model which you can't

I'm just throwing it away it's a headache at this point
I can't take it to T-Mobile cause its not on an account I got it on trade from a friend
And it is paid off but it would be a hassle with no account tied to it also Lg would hassle me for a warranty replacement likely wanting proof or seeing its bricked first then telling me I did it
