While in Gallery go to "my photos", choose album view instead of events. Click on settings and select "Show/Hide album". Uncheck albums which you do not want to be shown. It should remove Facebook stuff from Gallery

Are you not able to hide facebook in "show/hide albums' or facebook stuff does not get removed even after album is hidden?

Found this posted in a local forum and it seems to work.
"I found the solution for mine! first log in to facebook and also the facebook app. Once your logged in go to settings/apps/facebook and disable the app, go back to the gallery and remove facebook. You will now see facebook pictures removed. Go back to settings and apps and enable facebook app once again. Open the app and you should be logged in and go to gallery and you shall not see facebook pictures!"

Facebook vs. Twitter vs. Gtalk Contact picture syncing

Is there a way to select which service to use for a contact's picture. On my phone it seems to be twitter > gtalk > facebook. But I want to use the facebook pictures. any help?
I done know of a way to do it for all your contacts at once, but when you edit a contact you will see all available images for them and tapping on one of them will select it as their main pic.

Holy crap... I didn't know we could do that! So downloading the Twitter app and adding someone's Twitter username to their contact adds that pic as an option too?
Wish I could delete a post. Thought I was editing. :-\

It doesn't work out of the box. You will need to use 'SyncMyPix' from the Play Store to retrieve and assign the pics.
PS: If you get a login / session invalid error in SyncMyPix, just logout once and login again -- it works then.
With Haxsync 2.3.0 you are able to sync HD images and select Facebook HD photos by default

[Q] Linking up phone contacts with facebook?

Hey there.
I just started using my LG 2x and I am already finding myself somewhat struggling with some of the ways it is (a matter of getting used to it i figure ). But can someone tell me how I can manually link up my phone contacts with my facebook contacts?.
Because some of the contacts I have do not link up by themselves >_<
Hopefully someone can help
My contacts aren't linked with facebook either. I synced with Outlook but it's no facebook linked.
Weird... With Samsung and HTC that goes automatically.
Edit: Maybe you have to be logged in on Facebook for LG-app and not the official facebook app on Android Market?
just give it a little time, i had the same problem, but after a day a so everybody was in!
Open contact -> Menu -> Edit Contact -> Menu -> Merge

you have to set it up to show all your facebook contacts and wait for them to load.
then open a contact, pres menu, select edit contact, pres menu, select merge, find the facebook profile you want to link to you may have to pres show all.
When you are all done hide your facebook contacts from the list

I'm doing just like this, but I get this message: The selected contact can not be added
I'm using the official facebook app, not facebook for LG. Has that anything to do with it?

Are you selecting the contact from the phone and links to the facebook contact, or vice versa?
You gotta do it from the contacts list and not from Facebook.

That's what I did, but I still get this error: The selected contact can not be added
I used the stock Facebook for LG app, and it worked like a charm
Can you also change the contact image as well ?. I mean because some of the people I talk to on Facebook use stupid images and I want to replace them with another image. Can you do that as well ?
I can't get it to work now either... I've done just like you guys said and I just keep getting the same message again and again.

Are you logged in to facebook for LG also? Or only the official facebook app from Market?
Works very fine

And what did you do? Do you use the facebook for LG-app or the official facebook app from Android Market?
Edit: I've got it work! I dropped the contacts from LG PC Suite and imported all my contacts to Gmail, then it worked.

any way to organize photos in the instant upload album into other albums?

Okay this is driving me crazy. All my photos are synced to my nexus from my phone and Google plus. The problem is that all of my photos that come from my phone are under the same album called instant upload. I want to separate them into different albums and still have them sync across all my devices. I tried doing it through the phone and through Google plus but nothing works...
Is this possible?
Bump anyone?

Not sure if I completely understand, but you can add instant uploads to created albums in Google+ (on the the web) and they will sync through picasa and show up in your gallery. If you want to do it on your phone/tablet just upload the images to picasa. Make sense?

I do this all the time... from my computer.
Log into Picasaweb site, browse to the Instant Upload folder, click organize, select the photos you want to move, then move them to a new album.
You can probably do it from your tablet if you force the desktop version of Picasaweb, but that would be a pain in the neck for me... I am in from of my computer all day, so I just organize my instant upload folder once a week or so when I have a few spare minutes.
This is the way
Hello,
This is how I do.
1) Go to google+ > Photos > Instant Upload
2) Select the photos you want to move to an album, click on "add to album" on the right up.
3) Although they are in albums, they'll still show up in instant upload. To remove them go to picasaweb > Instant Upload folder. Click Organize, select all photos and delete. This will delete them from instant upload in google+, but they'll stay in albums.
Still, maybe try with 1-2 photo first, and proceed for all if works.
Been using droidiris as a gallery app and oh is it impressive on the N7. Puts all my travel images in the order they were taken in a user interface that really highlights my work.

Can you do this from N7 g+ app? There's no "add to album" option on the right up. The only option is "delete photo."

Picasa problem

guys im using picasa to sync some of my favourite photos (taken with my actual camera) to my phone
annoyingly though, the albums are synced in some seemingly random order which is really annoying as there are 30 of them right now and that number will only get bigger.
does anyone else use Picasa in the album on their phone and can suggest a fix?

fixed my own problem
for anyone who has same problem in future, it seems the htc gallery syncs picasa albums by when they were last UPDATED, and not when they were CREATED.
i guess it makes sense for those who have albums that they are constantly updating, but for me i make an album for an "event" and then thats it, so it doesnt work for me.
anyway - the fix was simply to go to picasa web albums and "update" your albums in the order you want them to appear in - so for me i updated the oldest first right through to the newest. the update can be "nothing" - just go to album properties, open it then save without making a change and it will still register as updated.
htc should give the option regarding which kind of sorting you want but oh well.
Thanks for the info !
Btw i have another problem with Picasa : i can't play any videos as there is no "play button" on them, they are only displayed as pictures...
Any advice ?
I can't even get picasa to work within the gallery. Maybe because I am on Google Apps account instead of a regular gmail account?

If you haven't figured it out already, first use the main menu, "Add online service", select Picasa. That'll open up the Google Accounts page, make sure Picasa is set to sync, then hit back button.
From there, you need to click on "My photos" and then on the left drop-down menu, select Albums, then you should get the option of picking Dropbox, Facebook, Flickr, Picasa, and pictures on your phone. If you use the menu from the My Photos page, you can turn off services you don't want (I don't Facebook, I don't Flickr, for instance).

How to eradicate picasa?

I have picasa web albums set to never sync through gallery and settings>accounts, Google photos is removed, drive set to never sync photos, and still when an app wants me to upload a picture my old picasa photos fill up the selection screen. Is there a way I can disable that or is it just a curse of android?

Iv a weird thing going on with picasa. It shows on my home screen as picasa but when I check out the app info from within app management it shows as Google+ and it shows the same data as cache etc for it.
The weird thing is I'm pretty sure I disabled or hid picasa but after stock root it popped back up on my unhidden apps list. Any ideas?

first in settings, check for the apps and disable the ones you dont want... it will say disabled to the right of it.
second, i have been using an app from the playstore called nobloat free version and then i disable the bloat this way also...
but i acutally go to the system/app and system/priv-app and delete the unnecessary files (bloat ware or apps that I can get from the playstore, cause i have on TB or MyBackup, then for the missing or remainder of the files I find out with nobloat the other file names and then delete the files also.
This way I make a nice clean Stock Debloated Version with TWRP. and save that for when ever I want to start clean..
There's an easy way to disable through settings but I forgot and have been too lazy to look it up again. You should be able to find with a little Google investigating. When you find it, please share with the rest of us lazy bums.
