Basically I'm having this responsiveness issue with any keyboard that I use... Thing is, I'm a very fast texter and, no matter what keyboard I use, as I text it seems as if multitouch is not working correctly and words come out a mess... I have to text slower than my grandfather to get words to come out right even with SwiftKey... It's a pain in the a$$ to text and right now it's being a real pain in the sack to even write this post........ Is there a kernel or something I can try to improve multitouch? I don't have this issue on my razr maxx....

I noticed that iPhone have a way better scroll on browser than most of andriod phones.. Than i google a little about it and found that the iPhone uses hardware aceleration (CPU) to do a better scrolling.
Now i wonder if our developers community could get some sort of code on the browser to use more hardware on it, especially to scrolling..
There is any way of that happen?
I have access to a iPhone (my friend's iphone) and i really think that scroll on it is way more comfortable to my eyes, don't know really why.
Sorry for bad english (again), and no notion on programing skills.
Edit: OMG!! sorry, i post it on the wrong session!! SO SORRY!

I think it depends on hardware capability. Like a computer, the vga must have internal vsync feature to minimalise screen flickering and cpu do the frame tearing and method. If we do it just by software I don't think can 100% perfect.
Cmiiw.

Hi, Ive just brought myself a 'Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini' i upgrade from a S1!!! Along time coming but i didn't want a bigger phone.
Anyway what the hell is up with the keyboard!!! I don't use the qwerty keyboard i use the standard 3x4 keyboard with predictive text on.
1, i cant add words???
2, the 0 key doesn't turn the predictive text on and off anymore???
3, im pressing WXYZ now and its writing a load of crap??? (we will work with you when you were working with you) surly it should just write loads of w, x, y or z???
I just want my old standard keyboard back not this new crap fancy one!!! Any advise would be great on trying to get it back or even adding it to a rom or something???
Cheers, James

Google Play has plenty of alternative keyboards to download.
I use Thumb Keypad: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.beansoft.keyboardplus&hl=en
Currently has 50% off.
Brilliant, use it on both phone and tablet.
Your keyboard configuration must be messed up big time.
Try to reset it

Did you have this problem when the phone was brand new, or it appeared after the phone had some use? Is it always the same keys or it's random?
hmmmm.....the keys are clicking the right way? because my girlfriend's D3 started like that, and now it doesn't click at all, it's like partially a touch keyboard
However, if the keyboard is hardware compromised, you should feel it.
I will try anyway with a uber-clean installation, SBF the phone, put a custom rom, or a different one from your current one and try....
P.S. maybe it could just be the internal flat cable that has detached, i opened the phone several times, and it's a PAIN to make it stay in the right place...maybe an hit could have moved it a little, making the keyboard going mad.
If the D3 is out of warranty, and you have a torx T5 (or T4 can't remember) screwdriver and a bit of patience you could try to open it, reaching the keyboard bus is easy, you just have to unscrew the rear shell....look at the ifixit teardown if you want some pics
(the bus plug is right under the one the guy is unplugging at step 6)

It looks like a broken flat cable to me, or something in the controller chip, i doubt it is a kernel or anyway, a software problem... but i could be wrong

Hmm all I can say is that I have never had this problem, and my XT862 is from November 2011 with a heavy use of the keyboard on a daily basis. All keys work fine and with no delay, unless the system is overloaded with some task of course. Alt works good as well.
I'm using Minimoto 1.7 ROM, you might want to give it a try and see if it makes any difference. I'm also using SwiftKey for text prediction on the hardware keyboard.

motofail, here we go!
It is very much a hardware problem. My D3 had this issue with stock and multiple custom ROMs. For me the a, n, alt, shift, and period keys required multiple presses to function. It persisted for months before I finally contacted Verizon about it and luckily the extended warranty I pay $6 a month for was of some use. They mailed me a replacement at no cost and I can finally use the keyboard.
just flashed 2.3.5 xt860 br, with my tool and is woking fine. look:
qwertyuiop
asdfghjkl
zxcvbnm
and now? G_G hw or sw?

a new baseband to fix a "Restricted Access Changed" problem xD
Hello, I have been using the Golden Rom on my Atrix HD and once I learned about the unlocked boot loader I tried to switch over to other roms. The problem is, they seem to lag really hard for me and I don't understand the problem.
I have tried flashing this one (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2244963) -pacman rom
and this one (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2250601) aokp.
Both of them lag really hard when I use them and it is a huge inconvenience.
If anyone could tell me how I could fix this I would be very grateful.
There's a performance booster zip that helps. And set your governor right. I don't really have any lag on pacman.

I see one for CM10.1. Is it the same?
Anyways, the dev seems to be building a new version. For whatever reason, the link is down.
That's the only boost zip there is. He's been talking about an update for awhile though.
