Hello,
I recently rooted and installed CustomRecovery on my daughters ATT Skyrocket (Captivate).
She seemed to like the interface of the original Rom (2.1), and would like to have such stock appearance while benefiting from the newer updates in Jelly bean (4.1) etc.
Is there any of the newer Roms (4.1 etc) that appears similar to the stock (2.1)?
Thanks - MN

Skyrocket or Captivate?
One is Galaxy S II i727 and the other is Galaxy S i897.
Check C-Rom Mix ROM or RemICS-JB ROM ports, both close to stock Samsung look.
Avatar ROM + Galaxy S3 theme is much better option IMO, with better support and regular updates.
Thanks....I did install the C-Rom Mix ROM but changed to Avatar ROM + Galaxy S3 theme, and we both love it. In fact, she is actually switching between the the Iphone and S3 theme.
cheers - MN

Hello, I was wondering if it is possible to port a Android 4.0 rom from the Galaxy Mini GT-S5570 to the Galaxy Mini SGH-T499(Also known as the Samsung Galaxy Dart). I am using a Gingerbread build for the Galaxy Dart as a base rom. I flash it but it just goes to the boot screen and stops. I don't know if it was possible but I tried to port the Android 4.0 rom anyway. At this piont I don't care because development for the Samsung Galaxy Mini SGH-T499 has seem to stop. I'm a noob when it comes to porting so if anyone can make a Jellybean or ICS rom for it please do so. At the moment it just has 2.3.6 while all the other galaxy mini varients have 4.x builds. You can find the builds and source at MADteam.co. Please help with the development, or help me with my porting issues.
Device is listed under Samsung SGH-T499 (Galaxy Mini/Dart)

No, it is posibble, most mini roms were ports from the galaxy 5 player and galaxy y. I've seen a post on MADTeam where a man had ported miui to the Samsung Galaxy Dart using a Galaxy Mini rom which was ported from the Galaxy S I9000. I just want to know if i could port an android 4.0 rom using a gingerbread rom as a base?

Hello!
I use a rom called MIUI.
It's not with Cyanogenmod base but Stock base.
The interface is totally different than TouchWiz.
Do you think the Galaxy Gear will be compatible with the rom, even with non-Samsung app but Touchwiz base?

Hey guys!
A few weeks ago I found my old S3 mini again and saw it was still running 4.1.2. I wanted to upgrde to a Samsung based Custom Rom, but there are just a few that are also based on 4.1.2. So, I thought of creating a new Samsung based Rom and experimented a little bit.
I made a very fast&fluent S5 Rom for our S3 mini, based on Android 4.4.4 (Cyanogenmod 11). It is not just an applied theme, but also some modified system files. Just look at the screenshots I also posted and tell me your thoughts. If you want this Rom, I can upload it.

If video playback works then I'm glad to use it!
yeah
I would love it!
I am working on eliminating the bugs.. The Rom will be released towards the end of 2019.
What will it feature?
-> S5 Lock-Screen
-> S5 Touchwiz KitKat
-> S4 Weather Widget
-> S5 System UI Sounds
-> Based on Android 4.4.4 (CM 11)
-> S5 Settings menu
Maybe:
-> S5 Music Player
Have you posted it yet? Just dug up my I8190, and I'd love to use it.
