it is its maximum freq
its minimum freq is 245
It doesn't mean that it is overclocked

Stock freq of the i9000 is 1000 mhz so anything above it is overclocked.

Phone: Galaxy S Plus (GT-I9001)
ROM: broodROM Jellybean Release 3
Android Version: 4.2.1
Kernel: broodKernel v3.3 OC/UV
Recovery: TWRP 2.2.1
Could it be that the Rom you are using is OC within the Rom itself if you didnt set it
Lower the cpu freq the better the battery life also the phone itself will run cooler

i9001 normal freq is max:1401 /min:245. Why do u think my phone is overclocked???!!!!

Because standard Roms are usually are set at around 1200
And if you read the Rom Post it says :
- Seamlessly integrated into settings, under Additional Settings:
-- broodParts
--- Set CPU Governor
--- Set CPU Min/Max Freq
--- Set I/O Scheduler
--- Choose between NonOC, NonOCUV, OC and OCUV Kernel
Check and see...

[KERNEL] Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830 kernel patch

A patch for Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830 kernel sources.
I also share kernel and modules (cifs, tun, zram, and ar6000 wifi) for CyanogenMod 7.1 here. Proprietary Samsung modules (fsr, fsr_stl, rfs_fat, rfs_glue, and sec_param) taken from DXKPD firmware. Flash it via CWM recovery.
If you are interested in overclocking, look at https://github.com/iksteen/android_kernel_samsung_galaxygio. I've tried, failed to boot
EDIT 10/10/2011:
I just realized, all modules (cifs, tun, and zram) have a problem with "Unknown symbol _GLOBAL_OFFSET_TABLE_" when loaded. This happened because now I use NDK toolchain, the solution is change in Makefile from:
Code:
CFLAGS_MODULE = $(MODFLAGS)
to:
Code:
CFLAGS_MODULE = $(MODFLAGS) -fno-pic
Rebuild all modules using "make O=../boot_kernel modules" command.
EDIT 11/10/2011:
Attached fixed version of cm-7.1-kernel-2.6.35.7-perf-CL562111.zip here (recompiled modules with -fno-pic flags), reflash it!
Thank you for vo-1 that have led me to the Galaxy Gio forum and iksteen (Ingmar Steen) for the overclock code.
EDIT 02/01/2012:
- Overclock code updated
- GPU driver backported from 2.6.35-11 kernel source
- Samsung on the fly governor setting disabled

[ROM][STABLE][Linaro CM10][01/18/13][ODEX/DEODEX] Linaro CM10 for the Galaxy Exhibit

This is a linaro optimised port of CyanogenMod 10 for the Samsung Galaxy Exhibit (SGH-T679)
As of 3/3/13 I am no longer working on this and don't plan to in the future.
Thanks to...
Camcory
Arco
CyanogenMod team
smartguy044
Tim1928 (DemonsBlood)
Why linaro?
the linaro compiler super optimises everything it compiles signifigantly boosting performance, on stock kernel, no OC quadrant is benching about 1700-2000, at 1.8GHz im getting about 2600.

[Flashing]
Hold home and power buttons until the phone reboots and the Samsung logo appears.
The stock recovery should then apear.
make shure cwm recovery is on the internel SD card and from stock recovery flash the zip file (should be easy to figure out)
reboot recovery again
select backup and restore and do a backup.
do a romwipe and then flash cm10
*flash gapps
*reboot
CM10 is installed now
I would recomend a ROMWIPE if installing over normal CM10 but it is not neccicary
NOTE: when the phone boots up, make sure and wait for cell service to connect before unlocking, this seems to cause a freeze
ENJOY!!!!

Smartguy touched on this subject recently after folks complained about freezing, frying and rebooting. Basically this CPU shouldn't be OC'd anymore than 1.4 to stay stable. I will go as high as 1.6 but that's it. At 2.0 I'm surprised your phone is remaining stable and you probably will burn up your CPU sooner than later.

In regards to wifi calling, does this refer to using T-Mobiles wi-fi calling? Just wondering if that feature is available in this rom.

Voltage for Xperia V

So I have an Xperia V running the latest firmware on Android 4.1.2. As the title says, can anyone share with me their voltage if they have undervolted their frequency? I don't have time to test out slowly because I'm busy with exams. Thanks.
The whole point of testing is that each device will act differently when under volted
If you copy someone else's voltages there is no guarantee it will be stable on your phone, or you may be able to under volt more.
Start with -25 on each frequency and see what happens in your normal usage. If it's stable try more. If not go back to your last previous stable voltages and try under volting on specific frequencies.
If you don't have time to Test you will just have to wait.
If you dont believe me I am - 150mv on every frequency, you can try that but it may not be stable in your phone and you may get re boots quite frequently

what does this mean for your battery life - how much improvement (before /after)?
I have better battery life after undervolting.
I tried going down 50 first. Seems fine. I'll try again more later. Thanks.

OK, just open the file using notepad++ (If you are on windows) or gedit if you are on Linux and change -100 to -50
I should have mentioned that it was already set to -100 because that's what I use. its stable on my phone.

No need of it coz I only use cm rom for gaming (dual booted b/w stock 4.2.2 and cm 10.1.2) .so I don't install any apps on cm rom other than games and I have disabled vsync to attain maximum fps.., oom groupings at medium, cpu governer @ perfomance , entropy at 3096,etc... so perfomance wise my device with cm is a beast(though it lags on stock)

Probably works on every versions of android (4.0 and up) coz in this mod you're changing the identity of your device to galaxy s4 (GT-I9505),so the game thinks your device as s4 and give you acess to high end graphics
