It was, I managed to flash GB stock back on it and repeat the upgrade process, this time making sure to go from GB to ICS to JB, now rocking CM10.1 RC4

Thought it was thats why I stick to GB

Back to Stock

Ok I've been searching for the method to get from CM nightleis back to stock gingerbread (or any gingerbread).....none of the methods I found specified what bootloaders they were using....I'm using the GB ones...can anybody tell me how to get back to GB??
Thanks in advance,
madigan94
you must download a stock firmware on www.samfirmware.com and then you must flash back with odin when you flash with CWM your phone had bootlops so flash back with ODIN good luck

I thought there might a reason why that particular instruction was removed from all the threads. Dang it.
Is there any advantage to running CM7 on the GB bootloader? Or should I just leave my phone as it is?

What is the advantage of Gingerbread bootloaders?
Better battery life for most users.
I would definitely recommend upgrading to Gingerbread bootloaders on CM7. There was a noitceable improvement for me.

Super Bricked My Galaxy Note (Binary Count =0)

I super bricked (no download mode or recovery mode) my Galaxy Note while restoring from CWM backup last night, I had LP8 installed, binary count is 0.
I have already sent it to the Samsung Service Center, question is: what should I expect??
FYI : My motherboard had been replaced 2 times already earlier due to emmc bug.

What on earth are you doing to consistently brick it? If you're under warranty then you should be ok - given that the emmc is a known issue which they're aware of..
On a side note, I'd suggest not being so flash happy and a little more reading before you mess around..
Good luck..

I was tryin to get navigation bar like that in Nexus, had created a backup if smthin went wrong, I haven't flashed any custom ROM, and ya its under warranty, and I have decided I'll be buying only Nexus series from now on
Good thing you have warranty, but still bricking it 3 times now, I wouldn't want my device on the service center it's inconvenient and really not worth wasting my time, I'd rather be very careful flashing than going to the service center for repairs. But anyways that's my opinion. It's your device and you can do whatever you want with it
Please have a look here, before you transform your note into a brick... for the 4th time

No I didn't do it on purpose, I had followed steps for flashing ParanoidAndroid ROM, I flashed a stock GB ROM as asked, but in both attempts I got my phone soft bricked, is there any guide you can suggest for a fool-proof way of flashing without bricking??

Than I guess I'll have to stick with the stock ROM and wait for next Nexus to be launched, I had GSII previously and flashed ROMs without any worry, and fyi I did follow every instructions, I'm not a noob

There is a safe way to flash, this is why a lot of people do it successfully...
My thoughts are that you followed instruction to a degree.. If you're on a Stock GB there's no fear of Brickbug at all...
I am wondering if you flashed Abyss in ICS - or did not reboot recovery after installing Abyss....
Which steps did you follow and which ROM, I've flashed PA without issue after downgrading to GB via PC ODIN, Rooting with SpeedMod and then flashing PA..

You did not follow the steps.
Stock ICS kernel had the bug that will brick your phone.
Always instal a safe kennel, reboot into recovery and then wipe, then instal new ROM

Restoring in cwm under ics kernel triggers brick bug. This has been documented since the bug was found and is all outlined in the stickies all over the forum. I'm sorry but I have no sympathy for someone bricking for a third time, there's just no excuse for this short sightedness.

[Q] Wifi suddenly stopped working, don't know why?

My X8 is currently running a GingerXperia the latest version. When I reboot my phone, it directly got it self to ClockWorkMod settings. I scrolled down and pressed the wipe cache partition, I think it won't affect my phone because I used to do that in xRecovery but now I used it on ClockWorkMod. I turned off my wifi because I don't wan't to use it on school. But when I got home, I turn on the wifi and It only shows"connecting..." without detecting any wifi signal then minutes later it shows "disconnected". Our wifi is fine, and our neighbors have some wifi too, But my x8 can't detect them. I'm wondering what's wrong with my x8 and what is the best way to get rid of that problem? I know some of you had or have a same problem like mine. Please Help me, I don't know what to do. Sorry for the bad English it isn't my Primary language.

Really? Please tell me, and what is the fast and stable rom that you've ever used? It's my first time modding a phone and having an android phone. I want fast and stable rom, without any bugs, and smooth in gaming without any lags.

The most of the roms now are stable and very good for daily use, I can't tell "this" is the best rom because I respect everyone's work, what I can tell you is that I recommend you gingerdx, as I think its pretty much complete. This doesn't mean anything. You may don't like it, so its up to you what rom suits you better.
Also you can use gingerdx with both stock and custom kernel.(have you unlocked your bootloader? If not, download roms that are for stock kernel,at gingerdx thread you will find two versions one for stock and one for custom)
No lags at games is not that easy especially if you are talking about heavy games, in that case I recommend you to buy a new phone

What I flashed of cyanogen was a stable version and that gave me this error, well I will try the nighties but at the moment no... And Supernexus doesn't have enough features as cyanogen and slimbean but its too fast, smooth and battery usage is awesome, mine passes away 2 days without charging and using it all the time...
