I'm not so sure about the other build as I didnt take the plunge but this one is working great so far. No issues as of yet and I think the only major things I haven't messed with are Bluetooth and lte.

I was looking for a reason to go back to Sense, but I couldn't find one. GPS locks almost instantly. MMS works great. Phone works in speaker and normal mode. Had the slight crackle in speakers when playing music but a little DSP magic and I can't tell the difference between my setting and Beats.
The only thing that would draw me back is blink feed but tbh I don't use it as much unless I'm bored. I can always use flip board for news feeds unless someone has a better suggestion.

ZOE is exclusive to Sense. Haven't taken any actual pics being that there is a thunderstorm out so I can't really test it. From what I can tell, there are plenty of options including a burst mode. Rear and front camera works. The image looks wide and full so it is utilizing the pixels as they were intended.

Do you mean the Mount point of sdcard/data? Then yes it has multiuser support unlike 4.1 it ships with thus the change.

So asfar as installation goes, I have TWRP. I know to wipe cache, dalvik, factory reset but a little confused on Formatting data. If I do that, won't it delete everything including internal storage? I see under Advanced Wipe, there is an option to wipe system. Is this the same as Formatting data? Sorry for the newbness, this is my first phone without a sd card slot. I'm used to "formatting data" while having the external storage to keep the Rom on.

Do Wipe-Advanced wipe-select first 4 (all except usb-otg). That is it. :good:
If you do the wipe data, it wipes internal storage.

Yes and also bloatwares like Samsung account which always comes deleted in most roms. I use it a lot this just an example anyway

In this all that is still there, samsung account/apps. This is like the stock experience, but with quite a lot of goodies, if you look at post #1.

v3.2 is in progress. Will find more things first, but so far 1 important thing is done. Inkeffect showing 'None' in settings, now shows choosen color. Updates will be in CWM for simplicity, and way smaller than a complete rom.
haven't got any feedback, so hard to say what to do, I think it runs like a train with no hassle, execpt for the one mention above, but that is sorted. Plain theming isn't something to update for. However NightTheme is uploaded (post #1)
Update for 'none' in inkeffects > settings added to post #3.
Thanks. Will do some test today as its weekend

Wonderful! I can't really find anything bad, however I haven't tried everything If you apply the update you get correct ink choosen in settings (no diffrence otherwise), so it's not superimportant for trying purpose. But if you use it as daily rom for some time it can be nice to get that sorted.
I tip my hat for your efforts on this rom.
Wasn't bad at all.
The main problem are the ones you already noted.
The ink effect update kinda mess up the lockscreen of my wallpaper and it didn't solve the problem. If you can fix it in the version 3.2, this will be my daily rom.
---Pro abt theme---
...my fav is the drop down UI. That was sleek
---Con abt theme---
I didn't Setting UI. I understand it was "nightStorm" :what:
I enjoy a cup of tea during installation and hoping to see "morningStorm" rom

Thank you for pointing that out! I found the problem and sorted that (wrong ID link in smalis) (SecSettings.apk).
An other problem came across, darkred renders incorrect (yellow!)
That problem is in android.policy.jar in the darkred case. Problem is solved and yet another update is added/replaced (same link in other words). So there
is a new android.policy.jar in the update aswell.
Please check the changes and repport, if you have time and so

PAC-man ROM is a mash up of AOKP, Paranoid and Cyanogenmod. Their official motto is pretty fitting too, “Why choose when you can have it all?”
***Disclaimer*** I have barely tested this (too busy) so I can not attest to it's smoothness, stability, battery life, etc... so think of this as an all invited test session.

2.) boot into recovery (TWRP it's better)
3.) wipe data, cache and dalvik
4.) flash ROM and gapps
5.) reboot and let it sit for 5-10 min
6.) enjoy!
7.)I would also recommend disabling, or changing the gravity of pie control, so the very bottom of the screen works correctly. (We don't have onscreen keys) settings>system>pie settings>trigger area>none

Idk if it will break anything but I would wait until an update since stuff has recently been fixed and improved. He's good about updates, so give him some time
As for system ui taking allot of memory that's probably not surprising since there is allot of color changing in status bar and visual tweaks in pac. Im not seeing this on my end though and 9.8 is not that much at all. Games can easily go 100 and lock up the phone

This is always something everybody needs to remember. The phone does NOT have enough memory to run many games that people want to play (didn't Alan Parsons say that?). It's the phone's worst weakness and it's a big one. Not only that system UI is many cases runs at 20mb or more so 9 is actually very good.

Downloading now
Edit: It would be great if you actually linked the download link to the post containing the rom rather than directly to your blog home page. Just a headsup
I don't see a DL for vibe in the link
Edit* nm I found it, had to put it in desktop mode

This ROM is running solid! I haven't had much time to test but just scrolling through it is really smooth. Thanks for keeping the vibe alive.
Lies, spewed poetically from galaxy S3!
Any ways I can change the colour of halo circle? Looks like freaking rangoli
And I don't know if its a ROM specific thing but where do I control the animations? Not the launcher... Other ones. Its just random. If it can be set to a single one it would be great ( but that's a personal opinion )

Love you Rom but found a few things that will need fixing.
1. The battery icon does not show the charging icon on the status bar (that is when charging), though it can be seen in the tile.
2. Gallery does not show previous images already captured prior to flashing this new Rom.
3.stored ringtones and notification does not also show in sounds settings unlike the base Rom you used(slim beans).
Other than what stated above, loving the speed and looks.
Thanks.

Battery icon shows up for me. I tried out all of the battery icons just to make sure (I was using the stock android icon before though). They all show up as charging. Gallery images show up for me too; I took pictures with SuperNexus ROM and RemICS-JB ROM back who knows when and they all show up. Dunno about the last one, though that can be easily remedied. Just download File Manager by Rhythm Software and next time you select ringtones, it'll ask you to choose between that and the system ringtones. You can easily find all of your stored ringtones using that.
And yes, I agree, this ROM is really awesome. :good:

I didn't want to support 2 threads when they are essentially the same ROM.
I'll be posting new builds as the project moves forward in the 9505 forum. I'm not officially modding or maintaining. Just making what's posted work for CDMA.
This is not a replacement for Google Edition 4.3 ... This is an actual aosp source built project by brood from over in the i9505 sections.

Nice! I'll flash it in a bit when my kids are in bed. Should I just use the standard 7-26 gapps that all the 4.3 roms are using so far?

That should be fine. I built my own gapps package from PA Gapps.
I started by building them all in but being this is working towards being 100% aosp it would go against the rules as I understand them.

This rom is freaking awesome. Absolutely everything seems to work - GPS, MMS over both wifi & 3g, both front and rear facing cameras, and it's lightning quick. The only issue is that the phone seems to get really hot. Maybe that'll improve once the rom has a chance to settle. Great job!

If I'm understanding correctly, this is basically pure AOSP which means that IR wouldn't work. I haven't tried though. I've never had any 3g issues in Google apps so I'm not sure what you're referring to.

Here only for this ROM if.you are running it. And post problems of the other ROM over there.
They are two different threads and Roms.

Yeah and that way I don't have to guess what service you're talking about.
I'm building an update now to match brood's latest

Okay, thanks for that. I had a question about aosp. Is it possible to remove home screens? I looked at the display settings, and I didn't see any option to do so.
Btw, great build. Very smooth. Only issue I noticed is that when the browser asked to use location services, and I hit allow, the phone restarted.

The new build seems to have taken care of a lot of issues. It's also almost fully aosp now. Just gotta get it uploaded
