Pls reply fast any1. I am really struggling as the I got my nexus 7 from USA and I can't use the USA charger in India. I have this Samsung charger - ATADU10IBE, but it is charging very slowly, like 1% in 20-30 mins. Thanks in advance.

Also if this won't work properly then can any suggest any other option(USB CHARGER) which I can buy online in India or a converter which I can use with ASUS US wall charger. In India we use European style wall chargers.

5V 2A is what you need at least, or get a pin converter like this http://bit.ly/S8E53E which should be available easily.
Hi,
Just bought this: http://www.belkin.com/us/p/P-F8M158
Found it on ebay for $19 (new).
It has power output of max 500mA, can I safely use it with HTC One? What's the max consumption of One, I read somewhere 200mA, somewhere 250...?
Tried using it with my ex SGS2 but it'd overheat and drain quickly since SGS2 pulls 700mA (didn't know, found out about it later on  ).
Thanks
Come on people, don't be so lazy
Maybe don't be lazy and find the answer yourself? Google is your friend.

As the title states, can I use a dock to start up my Nexus with a broken power button and USB port ? As with the USB trick ( androidguys.com/2010/09/08/manage-nexus-broken-power-button/ or read below ) can I do the same thing with a charging dock?
*connect the phone via USB to a power source (a charger or computer) and then to remove and insert the battery successively, after a while (5-10 insertions) the device will get confuse and will start.

Yea, if the dock you have allows you to open the back without disconnecting from the power supply. Why don't you just try the usual way instead?

hi
the USB port no longer works or charges the phone. Have you tried this yourself?

I do use the battery trick now, but I having a dock myself, I would say it would be diffult to simulate that in a dock. Given how unstable placing the N1 on a dock is, it would difficult to remove and replace the battery while still being charged through the dock.
May I suggest spending the 10$ on fixing the power button? When I got my n1 it was broke, first thing I did was order the button, took 5 min to replace

Highly recommend the Samsung Spare Battery Charging System. Comes with a space battery, a charging station, AND a cord that can connect into your phone to charge directly from the outlet.

Just make sure it's a 2A charger (vs the more common 1A for most smartphones.) And yeah, the HP TouchPad charger works great Really want to get the OEM spare battery charger too...
Is it? I couldn't find it in my searching the webs. I seem to be a pretty pathetic researcher because even all my searches for Amazon and forums, all I could find was articles saying there is a separate charger which supports Qualcomm's QuickCharge 2.0, but no link in them
Can anyone help me (if it's released at all) by giving me an amazon link for it? Thanks

Is it? I thought that the one that comes with the phone is 3.5w or lower but that one is 7.5w
Read the description, it says it's the charger that comes in the box with the m8

You might want to have a go at reading yourself.
It means it is the same shape as the original charger. The charger in the link is 7.5w which is higher than the 5w that the charger in the box has hence the reason it is called a 'fast charger' and not just called a 'charger'
See photo of the charger that came with the phone.

A new design of fast charger with USB port for HTC devices. This charger is the same one as the one comes in the box of One (M8).
Straight from the horse's mouth. Idk what else to tell you ?

The problem is the website. It's not advertising very well. It leads you to believe it's a "new" product yet says it's the same one as comes in box.
Very confusing. I certainly would not rush to order until it's confirmed this is indeed the Quick Charge 2.0 variant were waiting for.
Irritatingly it doesn't state the voltage or amps output. We'd know for sure then. I would expect the Quick Charge 2.0 charger to have s higher wattage to be honest.

HTC is on record stating that it's not merely a matter of the quick charge 2.0 adapter but also a software patch that will come "later this year". So even if you managed to obtain a suitable charger from Japan or Taiwan it would just charge at normal speed until HTC releases or leaks the patch.

Higher current chargers will charge faster regardless of patch. That's basic electrical principles.
However to take advantage of Quick Charge 2.0 which is a feature built in to the handset and the charger will require a software patch.

Again read the title, it is a 7.5w charger and the one that comes with the phone is 5w, now I'm sure you know the difference between the two.

It does have a higher wattage, 7.5w compared to the 5w in our chargers.

Higher then 7.5w.
Straight from the mouth of the horse that created the technology.
http://www.qualcomm.com/media/relea...technology-available-japan-through-ntt-docomo
"Products with Quick Charge 2.0 can charge up to 75 percent faster than products without the technology. While Quick Charge 1.0 technology, with about 10 watts of power, was designed primarily for smartphones and tablets, Quick Charge 2.0 delivers up to 60 watts, not only improving charge times for smartphones and tablets, but adding support for larger mobile computing devices like slim notebooks."
Sounds like a Quick Charge 1.0 to me.

W = V * A
Watt = Volt * Amperage
The charger in the box I got (and on the screenshot poster earlier) produces 5V 1.5A ->
5 * 1.5 = 7.5
In other words, the one in the box already is 7.5W, and the one advertised on the website posted earlier is exactly the same!
Chargers which output more Amperage (2.0A for instance) charge the device faster.
These chargers include but are not limited to indeed the Blackberry Playbook Charger, Samsung chargers and a LOT of off-market chargers.
The Quickcharge 2.0 standard can charge even faster than these chargers, but as has been mentioned a lot of times, they are not out yet, and even if they were we would still need the software update from HTC

*applauds* finally someone else that understands! Was beginning to think I was alone xD
Not sure where GTCC was getting 5w from to be honest, probably confusing watts and volts as the in the box charger is 5v @ 1.5a.
Honestly think that website is just playing a game to sell more chargers by advertising the watts value, something which is not normally advertised over volts and amps.
