First I would like to point out that I am not a developer. I am merely an Android enthusiast that likes to make ROMs the way that I like them.
This ROM started out life as Stock Rooted Deodexed MF9. I deleted a bunch of apps from /system/app, and added some mods, that were made by real devs, that i consider a necessity. I will probably de-bloat a little bit more after some more research, and may even add a few more mods. This will probably stay with the stock theme. I have been running a test version of this for a week. It is every bit as stable as Stock Rooted.
Kernel Info:
With versions 1.3 and beyond you will no longer need to flash a kernel, unless you really want to. I have gotten permission from agat63 to include his. For version 1.0 - 1.2 you will still need to flash either the stock kernel, or on of the custom TW ones.
As stated earlier I am not a Developer. I take no credit for anything in this ROM. with that said...

Additional Info:
I have left out Visual Voicemail because I do not use it, I use Google Voice (Google Voice will not set up correctly with VVM installed). If you want VVM back just download the .zip from post #3. Extract, and place SprintAndroidExtension.apk and VVM.apk in /system/app. Then set permissions to rw-r-r on both files, and reboot. Should have working VVM after that.

Infrared and all of the Air view stuff works. smart pause and smart stay work. I cant get Smart rotation or smart pause to work. The motion and gesture stuff works as well as voice control. I have most of these features turned off, IMO there are only a few really useful ones. YMMV
Edit: Smart rotation and smart pause are working. They are just really picky when they want to work. I cannot get the palm motion stuff within Motions and gestures (capture screen and mute/pause) to work on this ROM or completely stock ROM, so it isn't something that I have removed.
I am going to add a few files back that were causing FCs in the settings menu. will probably upload a update tonight.

That's correct. First row is the rw (check read and write). Second and third row is just r (read). That's what the rw-r-r means, for people who were unaware.

I'm trying to download the 1.1 version of the deleted files, but all I get is a 0K file. Is it just me? I just flashed your ROM and so far it looks just like what I'm looking for. All I've done so far is replace the transparent weather widget with the one with the blue time and weather.

I got fed up with opening Titanium Backup and freezing about 10-15 apps every time I flashed a new ROM. I built this ROM to suit MY needs. Sorry I don’t plan to add to much to this but may fix a few bugs when they pop up (If able). You can add anything I removed as you see fit. I may attached a .zip file (not flashable you will need to push) with all removed files. I used the Ecotox kernel for one main reason – 100Mhz overclock stepping. My phone doesn’t like to overclock, with the exception of 1100Mhz. This ROM defaults to BFQ / Smartass @1100Mhz overclocked. Let me say again so no surprises:

IN the 2 years or so I’ve had this phone any kernel I could overclock to 1100Mhz was rock solid, and still cool on the system. If you don’t like it reset it with voltage control and set at boot to start @1000Mhz. Instead of editing smali and .apk’s I saved some time by pulling files / code from other ROMS. I mainly pulled stuff from EDT and Fishman ROMS along with some files from the Glastopia Theme. Thank them when you get a chance please.
This is probably the fastest Froyo ROM I’ve ever used.
***BUGS***
DO NOT SELECT SGSII UNLOCK SCREEN (BOOTLOOPS) – I broke it somehow. I prob won’t fix it cause I don’t use that unlock
Beats.Audio breaks sound for the stock video player. Suggest you download MX Player from marker w/MX Player Codec package

SUGGESTIONS
Everyone has a favorite Home application - I urge you to try Twiz again. I think you will be surprise just how streamline and fast the Samsung default Home App is. Also attached TW4.5 to try.
Rom Manager and Ecotox doesn't seem to play nice together. If you try and do a backup from ROM Manager it will reboot to a green CWM and not backup. To do a nandroid just reboot to recovery and select "Backup and Restore" then select "Backup". You can always go back into ROM Manager and rename the backup later.

Yea - it does seem large. Take into consideration that the system directory of Stock KB5 is 248mb - mine after editing is 211mb.
I also added some media files / shutdown screens / and /data apps

I think I just got spoiled from slim ics, under 70mb total.
That is a big drop though, about to flash this.

Thanks Fish - if you ever need it (you may have your own way) in my 3rd post I created a quick DOS zipalign script.
I also noticed a lot of ROMS I looked at had a zipalign init.d script, but no zipalign executable in /system/xbin.
Does the stock video player sound work?
I used Bionix V fish man mod then flashed Mosiach tweaks and the video player didn't have sound
Good catch. Stock video player has no sound with beats audio. I always use MX Player. I may package that with next release.

yeah, I noticed they mostly seem to have it in /system/bin
Im giving this a whirl now and so far pretty impressed it definitely is one of the fastest roms I've tested / used this could be a daily driver and hoping you will update it a few times before being done with it..it is excellent

Installation:
1) You're already on a SAFE kernel (Hydracore, CM, Philz, speedmod etc.)
-Reboot into recovery
-Wipe data/factory reset
-Wipe cache
-Go to Advanced and wipe Dalvik Cache
-Go back out of advanced and go to Mounts and Storage, format /system and /preload
-Go for install zip from sdcard, locate the ZIP and confirm with the yes
-Installation will take up to 5 minutes
-Once completed reboot
2) You are on stock ICS/JB, you haven't touched anything in your phone such as root, kernel, ROM
-Go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1901191
-Download the appropriate kernel for your version of ICS/JB (Check your build number to know which one you need)

This doesn't have the samsung keyboard. It only has the stock android keyboard. And yeah, there is a zip with snote in slimwizz. It might work but it is meant for the tablet interface...
Could you kindly include it in your rom please since tbh it is an essential part? or could you provide a zip for it please?

You are free to try slimwizz version of snote. Make a backup before though as I have not tested it.
Also I have run out of bandwidth for my public dropbox. Due to this I am uploading it again to mega. It will be up in about 2h (sorry, slow internet connection).

So far so good seems to be more responsive ram is about 762 added back the radio and the stock video player so I can watch face book videos

Are you sure you want the keyboard? I removed it because it is slow, no predictions, very limited, very small buttons... I just think the stock android keyboard is better in every way.
I will however have a look whether the apk is enough... I think I removed a few more files to do with the samsung keyboard though.
Also, I have re uploaded Bare Bean to Mega, the link won't go down on there.

Really..? I swear it has the biggest icons and 4th row for numbers which i really like. Also im pretty sure just the apk doesnt work since when i did that it didnt work.

Google contacts all good my corporate email and calender are all good so Google calender should work.
Update
Google calendar installs ok however won't recognise my Gmail account and my Google account under settings has a synch issue. However get Gmail ok
2nd edit just did a dirty flash of another other rom and all is working so yeah just matter of tracking down was was removed and readd the missing apks

Install Rom...
1 Download rom and copy it to sdcard
2 backup user data such as contacts, msgs, apps etc using backup app such as super sms backup
3 Boot in recovery and clear with factory reset. Format system and preload partitions
4 install rom
5 restore user data and apps
6 drag your favourite apps to launcher hotseat area. You can have 7 icons there. I missed to remove menu icon from centreyou can place any icon on the top of it
7 this rom is disigned for 213 dpi. In case you want to have bigger value you may install xposed framework to achieve app specific dpi value.
Install add-ons:
1.If it is only apk, then depending on your ROM structure, push inverted apks to system/app folder,
set appropriate permissions and ownership.
Reboot.
2. If it is CWM package, flash using cwm recovery

Yes you can, Use your file manager to delete. Im pretty sure i know what happened. Im going to use this release some what as a beta and i'll get everything worked out in the next update.so please post anything you may find.

How to install:

Downloaded.. Tried flashing.. The ROM just hangs during flashing.. Tried 2x had to pull battery and restore a backup. The second time after fifteen minutes it says done and thank you and just keeps repeating that same dialog3-4 times. It took a few minutes between each mod.. I'm using twrp

The flash takes about 20 minutes as stated in the op. Mine actually took 25 and all is smooth.

Tweaks and a stable TW ROM all in one. Seems to be one of the best bets until AOSP ROMs are more stable and all figured out which could take quite some time.
At least with a TW ROM you can still choose to use all the S4 features if you want.

Yeah, most of the mods included have the same text so if it repeats, that's a good sign

I'm glad it'll save some time haha I tried replacing the Touchwiz music player with the one from the JBSourcery Rom but it just force closes. Any music player from the store will work though, just not the one provided

I know they will. but im highly fond of the touchwiz music player for the widget and lockscreen widget. I use those at least a good 7 hours a day. to not have that i would hate it. i tried over 10+ music players and even wasted about 30 bucks and their widgets SUCKS BALLS!!!!!!!!!!! I like this one where you can expand it and the music list is right there. so for now this rom may not be the one for me
Once reverepats finishes some work on his theme, I'll put the TW Music Player back in. Considering the stock one isn't working, the TW music player should make a nice addition to v1.1

On the download website, there should be some mirrors on the right hand side. Try all of those to see which one downloads the fastest. I actually had the same issue with the Deodexed MDL Rom and strangely after choosing the server the farthest away from me (the IL server) it downloaded much much faster

Dang...this rom is a little bit smaller than the Stock MDL Deodexed Base Rom (despite all the tweaks lol) so I'm surprised it would be taking long.
