[Q] not mapping vol button to ringer

Hi,
Do you think it's possible to map the vol+/- button to media volume instead of ringer volume when you're on home screen?
thank you
It should automatically switch to media volume when media is playing. What exactly are you trying to do?
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA Premium App
Somtimes i want to lower the media volume before starting a game.. wish just using buttons could do it!
It can be a pain...
I use Audio Manager. It's an app, not hardware, but it works...

Another option: I use Volumer++. You can have it live right in the status bar. Volume keys are remapped to MENU and BACK.
Not the answer to your question, but this app is very cool, and you can select the volumes to control. I find it much easier to manage volumes than using Volumer or Audio Manager.

I forgot that audiomnager exist, i will give it a try.
Thank
I too am interested if anyone has found a solution to this. I have no need for my Nook's volume keys to do anything with ringer volume. I would love to be able to remap these for media volume exclusively.

[Q] Use the headphone controls to change tracks?

My old (HTC) phone used the controls on the headphone cable to move between tracks, instead of change volume.
I have to admit I prefer things that way - so would like to know if there's any way to change the behaviour on my Mini.
Any suggestions (apps, mods to flash, etc) appreciated

Tried holding the buttons?
I had those also on my previous phone (Motorola) and it worked by long pressing those buttons.

Take a look at my thread here, there's a "press volume keys to skip tracks mod" and there's a chance it could also work with your headphones control http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39282702#post39282702

You can only do this using the smart connect/ smartkey app...
Just double click the headset button

Alternatively, if you can't get it working using smart connect/double clicking, look at something like Jays Headset Control: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=se.jays.headsetcontrol
You could also try PowerAmp, it got a build in Headset Service and is my favorite music player.

[Q] are multiple Volume bars possible when pressing the Volume Up/Down - keys ?

Hey guys,
do you know if there is an advanced audio control for the Xperia Z1 with bars for system- , telefon- , media - and bluetooth-volume coming up by pressing the volume up or volume down key ?
I know Cyanogenmod has it but I don't want to flash cyanogenmod as long as the camera won't work with it.
There is also an so-called Xperia Z1 Framework ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2490425 ) which can enable it but the Framework seam to be for the Xperia SP, not Z1.
Any ideas ?
Thanks for you help !
At the moment, I think your best bet would be something like this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.brianhislop.icsringervolumetrial
Y try several ones and the only one that works for me was the sound profile on playstore

[Q] [Request] Volume Buttons to Skip Tracks?

Hi, does anyone have a mod where you can either hold or press the volume buttons twice to skip to previous/next tracks for stock Walkman app?
I don't want to bring the lock screen up everytime just to change songs.
Xposed Xperia tweaks for Kitkat has this feature. You have to be rooted though.
