NFC Security Pass - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Can the One be used to duplicate a smart card with its NFC chip?
Since the One can read swipe cards, can it then repeat the information to swipe card readers?

Toggle switch in SIM card slot?

While trying to install a dual SIM card on my Tilt, I noticed a two-way toggle switch that would hide behind the SIM card when inserted. Anyone know what it's for?
The user's manual shows nothing.
That is probably the switch that lets the phone know the sim door is locked.
Ah, yes, yet another mystery of the universe is solved. Thanks.

Manually cut nano sim card and damaged tray

Normally I read all the instructions but no... not this time. I missed the warning on the back of the phone explaining that a manually cut nano card will hurt the tray. Now, when I insert a sd card (any sd card) either it does not find it either it says "damaged toshiba sd card, touch to fix". But format won't work, an error "unable to unmount" appears. Now I changed my nano sim card for a genuine one (I could not before, I was abroad), but it does not change anything. I though to write about my experience to warn others and also maybe someone knows if there is a way to fix it?
I manually cut my first card. It was a big old card so I had to cut half of the chip. Anyway, the phone was losing signal from time to time, but I replaced it with a new genuine one and it works perfectly. Try taking it for a fix if you have your warranty
Hey, you saved my phone. I just wanted to do the same you did. THANK YOU!

Using dual sim and sd card simultaneously

Hye! Can anyone help me resolve the issue of low storage on my huawei p8 lite device. I have two sims active all time, due to which i cant insert sd card in second tray. Is there any way to use both sims and sd card simultaneously?
Thanks in anticipation.
See tutorials on Google(YouTube how you can make a sim-sd-card xd it was working!
You can glue the micro SD onto the SIM card. It's not that easy and you may break one of those cards. There are some tutorials on YouTube.

NM card compatibility

Huawei released a new type of memory card called the Nano Memory card, supposedly it grants their Mate line up expandable storage through the SIM slot, allowing you to have one SIM card and using the other SIM slot for storage.
The question is, do you think this will work on our device? If anyone has access to this type of card, can anyone test it out? I think Android Oreo/Pie will have no problems detecting it as a "Micro SD card" either.

It does not work. You need new hardware made to work with NM cards for it to work. So far, only the Mate 20 series have it.

Dual SIM plus microsd (2nd SIM problem after Pie possibly)

I've been using the thin cable adaptor to run both SIM cards and a microsd all at he same time . Someone recently said they are trying to call my second sim number and he gets a phone switched off message from operator...
I thought the cable because dislodged but no matter what I try I can't get the second sim to enable itself , I even swapped the film cable adaptor with a new one..same issue ..
I recently phrases to pie and I'm loving it but I have feeling a sneaky patch blocked this hack ..which ..if true...is monkeytitstupid !
Any thoughts ?

Samsung did patch that on pie.
Only two ways that I read.
1. Go back to oreo
Or
2. Root phone (something like to replace service.jar file or using magisk, so search xda)
I think is something more serious. I'm using an adapter as well. Upon start up I get a notification that something is in simcard tray. And that notification doesn't go away and it doesn't let me use the phone at all until I removed the adapter.
If you are not seeing that message, the adapter probably isn't working.
I resorted to custom rom samsung pie where the developer removed that restriction.as a result my spay is dead, my secure folders is dead.
For me it's worth losing these function to gain access to dual sim and sdcard. I do miss secure folders though.. There is third party apps that can do the trick but not as good as secure folders.
So weigh the importance of knox related items to dual sim and sdcard. I did and decided my need for dualsim and sdcard is more than secure folders.
Btw, the developer patched shealth so shealth still works on mine. I'm using dr ketans rom.

Hi, I have the same problem. But this time I never rooted my phone as NFC payment apps detect it and I would not be able to use that function anymore.
For the moment I have just put some clear tape on the second SIM and can use my phone, access my memory and hope that a proper solution will be found soon.
For the moment I use my second(same as first one which is taped now) SIM. And use my pocket phone. 5x5x1cm for 25€.
And will wait for some new clever workaround or my ordered NFC payment ring and root.
By the way, the chip of my sim was glued on the back of the sd card. So I am sure it has nothing to do with the adapter.
After updating to PIE, i'm note able to use hybrid sim slot on my Galaxy Note 8. When i insert hybrid in Galaxy note 8 Pie, POPUP appears says sim card tray slot problem, but phone has read both behind and memory card. Pop does not get disable and stuck on the screen. Forcefully i need to remove the slot and reverse back to 1 sim and MC
