The HTC One (M7) has a removable SIM card:

link specifically is for the sprint variation which since its a CDMA phone normally does not have a slot. so yes its a minutely interesting fact.

Anyone going to switch from the vivid to the One? idk how i feel about htc after this phone, i mean its a great phone and all but htc bent us over and showed us the 50 states. thank god for the devs. But the phone looks awesome and its sleek as hell too.
I will be ordering one as soon as its available. 1080p display, 2gb ram, infrared behind the power button (I've missed that sooo much in my smart phones since my Treo).. I'm excited lol

Wait about 2 months and HTC will probably come out with another revolutionary phone
What happened to the Droid DNA? The DNA has only been out for 3 months and HTC is already forgetting it.
I believe the answer is somewhere in the neighborhood of "When donkeys and pigs gain aerodynamic and sustained aerial motion" or the successful cloning of a flying Pigasus, whichever happens first... I'm tired of the 1 software upgrade and we're through with you mentality, the fact that you had to do a physical hardware short circuit to S-off and the point that the HTC One contains no easily changed battery, no place to put a microSD card...no, no..(clickty clacky keyboard noises) Computer says NO-o-o-o-o!
The DNA was released for Verizon only. All other major us carriers are getting the one, except verizon. HTC has already announced that 'the one' will be the only one series device in 2013. I understand everyone's setbacks. But I'm not passing up on a hardware beauty like this one. Not to mention it looks like every major dev team is planning on getting at least one. Check out the thread in the one general section to see who all is on board. Also everyone's favorite dev will have one too lol @jon

I agree the specs and looks of the phone makes me drool.they are not releasing the one for Verizon cause of the dna
So I guess they haven't completely forgotten about their customers haha. But I do want the phone real bad. Also I'm curious to see since its the only flag ship they are releasing how often they keep it updated .

Despite the incredibly large amount of times HTC pisses me off, I still plan on getting the HTC One as soon as I can afford it. I like the Vivid but The One looks like a phone I am actually willing to buy at the non-contract price

Wait.. this doesn't mean you will stop developing for the vivid, right?
The one actually is appealing though. And HTC is actually doing a good job marketing, unlike the vivid lol

Nope...I'm going back to Samsung...gonna get me the sgs4 as soon as its released...I mean...its gonna blow everything out of the water and every dev team will have one guaranteed...not to mention how easy it is to root and flash rims on Samsung devices...no locked bootloader to deal with...no s off to deal with
I gave HTC a shot and I'm done with them :/ I hate having to unlock the bootloader...and s off - that's just stupid...they honestly make it so hard to customize your phone...heck it be easier to jailbreak an iPhone than get an HTC phone setup for Rom flashing, then you got the crappy source...and extra security measures...(in-call Mic issues for att users) - who's to say they won't do the same on the one....if the s off process is anything like the vivids...well good luck with that as I'm pretty sure the one doesn't have a removable battery /end rant
I guess you could call me a Samsung fan boy

I won't pay retail for it but when my upgrade comes I'll get it.
My gf has one, and she loves it. I couldn't get it, though, because it doesn't have SD card expansion. I love my SD card way too much, so I got the Vivid instead. Couldn't be happier.
My one X is s-off a new method recently came out to do it, and it's nothing like the Vivid was cause I owned that to, never bothered to try s-off due to the stupid method.
HTC is doing a stupid move by removing microSD slots from their newer phones. We aren't babies, I'm tired of HTC treating us only a few years older then Apple does their users.
With all that being said, I'm not wasting hundreds and hundreds on a device that can't even include the basics like access to the battery and a MicroSD slot. This is day one **** HTC. I WON'T be getting a one, actually selling my HTC one X right now to switch brands. Sad sad thing.

And no, I won't be getting the One. Nothing could ever convince me to buy another HTC product. I'll probably end up with a Galaxy S4.

Yea im pretty sure that the only difference, but the only issue i see is the non remove able batter, which for me isnt even an issue, i have insurance on all my phones ( just cause i know something goes wrong and i always get them switched out ..always on my 3rd vivid right now) So if the battery starts ****ing up new phone for me XD yeaaaa hahah
I'll get it the day it comes out:laugh:
90% Yes. Still debating getting the SGS4 or the possible Motorola NXT.

Hello All,
Can someone please provide their experience with using a dual SIM adapter on their Note II device.
I am thinking of this for future traveling.
T.I.A.
I have a gmate+. Was very good and handling well on 4.1.2. But when I flash 4.3. The device blocked during call. Restarting. Lost voice. It has issues with android 4.3. Hope they will update the app. I really like that device and it was all I need to transform my phone to a dual sim active phone.

Thank you smentoma!
This will be a good start
Have been using the MAGIC SIM Elite dual SIM adapter for quite some time now and it has been working as expected.
Have been able to utilise both SIM's 3g/4g connections with no issues and switching between SIMs isn't difficult (requires activating/deactivating airplane mode).
It isn't dual standby/active, meaning that its only one SIM active at a time. You can set it up (not a feature of the adapter, but something to arrange with carrier), so that if one SIM is inactive, it will forward calls to the other SIM which is active and vice versa. That way you won't/shouldn't miss out on calls.
Can be tricky to insert into the Note 2's SIM card slot.
My trick to inserting it, is to first put a micro SIM in to disengage the spring lever that's in the slot, then carefully pull the micro SIM out with needle-nose pliers (don't push the SIM to get it out like you normally would), then place the dual SIM adapter (micro-SIM side) into the slot and slide the micro SIM in. That way the adapter won't impinge on the spring lever and will more than likely sit over the SIM slot contacts (hope that made sense).
It's very easy to either pull too hard or twist it and damage the flex cable.
Have been using it with Beanstalk 4.3 ROM and TW 4.1.2 stock and no issues with either ROMs
It will bulge out a little when putting the battery cover back on.
Thanks Optimistic Pessimist!
I'm looking for a dual SIM adapter, so thank you for this thread. It will help me. Anyway, did u try anyone in AOSP 4.4?
Here is mine, got it from ebay for USD 5, was for the iphone 5, but will also work for android, infact any of them from ebay will work, no need to spend the extra cash for a magic sim.
Thanks kms108!
The continued support from this forum is absolutely incredible!

It's more convenience, especially if you are on the move, there are BT units available that allows 2 sim, 3 sim or 4 sim active at the sametime.
I know that....but if you are driving and need receive a call over bluethoot you cant....soo phone lose that usuability.
Ive sell my grand duos and bought note 2 because the performance.....and bought another cheap phone for other sim card (htc desire z). Since its a company number I dont use alot. But need to stay "alive" all the time

Hi all newb here.
Long story short, I managed to get a swap for my HTC one x+ to a brand new black ONE 32gb with phones 4 u (warranty), but they said like for like swap (im thinking internal memory now) so I rang up and queried it. They are willing to swap again for the 64gb but that means being without my one for about a week MAX but Iv just gone about 2 weeks with the first swap, part of the long story.
Is it worth sending my phone off and losing out for a week for a free upgrade to 64gb, is there differences or just memory size??
Thanks and hi again.

Nope only memory size difference. IMO 32GB is more than enough. U can also use a Micro USB to Full USB(OTG) cable 2 store ur content if u get low on space
Ok thanks.
What about resale what is the price difference of used handsets, I have googled it but I can only see prices for 32gb

A quick one about something i'm confused with, is the 64 gb version a developers edition in the UK?

I have a chance to get one of these phones but the seller says missing sim tray. Is there a way to just tape the sim to the terminals. What can i do? I have an iphone sim tray from a 3gs would that work? What is a compatible HTC sim tray i could use?

An iPhone 3gs Sim tray uses mini Sim and the first has a micro so that's out of the question. And tapping it in probably wouldn't be such a good idea considering there's allot of space and it would be moving all the time. There is a OEM light blue HTC first Sim tray http://m.ebay.com/itm/141123998651?nav=SEARCH&sbk=1
But in my opinion that's too much. The phone closest relating to our is the one mini
http://m.ebay.com/itm/151182582693?nav=SEARCH&sbk=1
Which is cheaper but there's no guarantee it would fit. Then there's the One & Nexus 4 which could also be good candidates for Sim tray swapping but there's no guarantee it would work
Hope I could help

keep track of cellular country. they have some of the best deals on getting any "contract" att phone off contract
Well i don't think the tray would be a big problem, I had a normal sim and I cut it to micro sim.
I cut it a little too much and I was afraid that it would be moving around in the sim tray but no worries.
My point is that you could probably even get it working with a makeshift tray or something

Look. I got my first, brand new, no contract, and in box for 150$. About two years ago I got my old lg for 120$ no contract. So I got a really good deal.
Cullularcountry.com is awesome. I'm sure an HTC first will pop up there sooner or later. If not get a atrix HD for like 170$ no contract brand new. Or an HTC one x or anything else with no problems.
As far as a Sim tray goes. Use thin pieces of wood that they use on like clarinets and other instruments. Quite thin and light. Like taking it and carving out a slot for the Sim? Not sure how good it would be but quite possible. Otherwise idk haven't come up with anymore ideas.

Hello
Someone who know if there exists a HTC One with 64GB that works in Sweden? Maybe different versions? m a bit frustrated over that there is no microSD-slot. Cuz what happends if the phones gets bricked and i want to access the internal memory? (worst-case scenario). I like the modularity with SD-cards.

The M8 is brand new. Is either fork out cash or don't. Shouldn't be that worried about brick. It's practically hard to do if you stick to correct flashing and follow the guideline.
