Hi folks,
I am using Modaco's custom ROM. I would like to change my Hero's window animation: it now uses some kind of fade-in animation, but I like the ION's right-to-left slide animation much better.
Is there something that can be done to change it?
Thanks!
Yeah i would really like the slide transition aswell. Its much nicer then the standard hero transition effect. But i fear htc just replaced it and it wont be easy to get back.
you need to add the old animations into framewrk/framework-res.apk/anim/ all files "I think its like 45 files not 100% sure though!"
So, where can I get the files?
Well, my question is pretty much the title of the thread. I recently got a new theme for my cyan mod, and it said it had a blur animation, the only problem is, i dont know what that animation is. I haven't really noticed a change in animations, if there is any that is.
this is the theme.

thanks in advance.

Well first make sure you go into settings > display and under animation the checkmark is ticked on. Basically whenever you press the physical menu button and the little menu appears on bottom, the animation it starts with is different. ALSO the launching of apps and backing out of them will give you a different animation. This is barely even half a second and if you don't really pay attention you'll miss the change. Blur animation is just the latest taken from devices with motoblur on it. Again its very minor unless you notice these things, it does look cool.
Hello this is my first post ( I think)
Right here's my problem I have just come from Darkys Extreme Rom to one of Doc's rom just to try it out and I miss the Animations from Darkys Rom.
For example when u hold down your finger on a text field and it swoops into the screen the pop up menu.
Is there a package or some way of modifying these animations. Standed animations are a little boring.
Thank you guys and gals
look in Settings under Display > Animation; and Spare Parts (if you added it when you cooked) has a setting for animation speed and extra anims.

Hello at all,
Can someone tell me if it is possible to change the transition animations of our android roms with the iphone-miui ones (like miui)? In my opinion, iphone miui animation are the best ones and also make the terminal beautiful.
I don't like existing transition animations packs.
Android_Stock, Bounce, Drop_In__rubiX_, Flip, Fly_In, Fly_In_and_Flip_Mix__ApeX_, Fold and some others..
I have already tried all these packs in my framework-res.apk but I don't absolutely like!!
Are there other packs that have an animation like miui-iphone one?
Thanks at all...
I just wanted to take a minute to update all the Vivid users & Dev's on a few projects that are in Beta right now or have been released in beta & will be updated/finished soon.
I think I will be making this (roughly) a bi-weekly thing, so if you are working on something cool, or have an idea you want to get out to more developers, please use this opportunity to let me know.
1. Recovery - We have a new touch recovery (Capacitive) that will be released soon that is an updated version of the WCX recovery (I like to call this one WCX Ultimate) as it is based on a newer CWM version & it allows users to flash kernels & root devices, not too mention the ability to make complete Nand & tar.gz backups. The recovery has also been updated with the battery charge animations & as always there is touch button functionality along with some limited screen touch abilities (that is something I am looking into implementing with a new stylish skin.
2. Kernel - There are several folks working on kernels with OC/UV capabilities that will hopefully find there way to XDA as a finished product very soon. With voltage scaling a a few governors to choose from, I can tell you that if need be the Vivid can run smoothly under-volted & overclocked with ICS up to 1.83Ghz & still get a good long run out of the battery.
3. Advanced Vivid Tweaks - While Jan sold his development device & is readying to move on to the Euro X series device, I have been working on the final tweaks app & just got what I believe will be the final version of the app to testers today. I will be working on generic graphics & logo for the app & will be releasing it for further development & use by cooks in public roms most likely at the end of the week. To recap, this app will allow you to enable, modify & hide/show items in the Extended Quick Settings menu, enable, modify & hide/show items in the Advanced Power Menu, Make changes to Notification bar including hiding/enabling/moving many notification bar items, Select between standard/Super/Ultra rosie versions, set operator name & custom text in notification bar, Go directlly to Quick Settings when no notifications exist, hide wifi-config, enable transparency, + many more tweaks
Last, but most certainly not least...
4. S-Off - Looks like S-Off is now possible for all 8660 devices. While there is not a whole lot of news on this front, I can report that it has been successful on several 8660 devices including at least one Vivid.
5. A Version of the HQ camera has been released for the Vivid & seem to be working well.
Really appreciate the updates. Exciting things to come, it seems.
yea glad to see our phone is getting more and more dev support still wish we had faux123 on the vivid dev side

Hi. New Vivid user here. I came from an Atrix 4G where I released a very well received series of Blur ROMs. I hope to keep making solid ROMs here for the Vivid.
Can't wait for the new recovery. I've got a solid ROM ready to go, I'm just waiting on that. The other tweaks sound great too. If you're interested I can send you what I've got.
A few features.
-Based on RUU 3.26.502.56
-Aroma Installer
-Rooted
-Deodexed
-Busyboxed
-Zip Aligned
-DeBloated
-Ad Blocking via hosts
-Enabled Mirror App
-Enabled All Rotation
-Tweaked Default Status Bar Date Format
-ADB Enabled by Default
-Tweaked build.prop Entries
-Unknown Sources Enabled by Default
-Tweaked Boot Animation
-Tweaked Default Scene
-Custom Ringtone
-Working on init.d Now
Plus More.
Side note, anyway to get adb remount working on the Vivid? I've run out of ideas.

I had this same issue when I was building my ROM quite a while ago and could not figure it out. Drove me nuts.

Glad we got Nottach. I am truthfully excited for this. If you need testers i will, Leon. I used to build Infuse ROMs.

Not yet, I think the manifest for Rosie.apk will need to be edited for that.
It means that all rotations are available for that rest of the device, 90, 180, 270.
Also I reversed the default rotation to clockwise, so the headphone jack would be on top right. I thinks its more comfortable to hold when using headphones.
