Hi everyone
After i changed the mainboard of my galaxy mini 2 i have very strange issues:
-when i hold power i don't have the shutdown menu but the phone just shut down
-i don't have a lockscreen, pushing power shut down the screen and when i press it again or i press home i unlock it even after choosing the pin code or the model in the settings.
-i installed a lockscreen app from the market but i can't find it in the app drawer, the only way to find it is in settings-->applications
In the begining i thought that it was a rom issue so i flashed the official LD3 with odin but nothing changed, with the old mb i didn't had such issues
Can someone advice me what i can do?

Hello all,
I need your help, please...
I tried to upgrade my mobile from Android 2.1 (Eclair) to 2.2 (Froyo) on your Samsung GT I5800, and after I plug-in the the phone to ODIN , and click start. The phone start to load and it takes over than (30 mins).
I thought that mobile or program got frozen, then I unplug the cable from device.
I am unable to start the phone, when I use the "Power" button, no display.
What to do to solve this problem, please?
Thank you in advance...
Are you able to enter download-mode? Would say you should try to reflash again using ODIN. Use the original Samsung-USB-cable, and start ODIN with Admin-rights.

Try pressing volume+ and volume- in middle, home button and power button. Then scrole with volume buttons and go to rebooting and press home button

OK guys, long story short my mates galaxy ace won't boot up, randomly turned off one day and booted to recovery, power button doesn't work so can't select reboot, my theory is power button is stuck in? It also has a message about csc error which is new to me.
If I flash stock rom through odin, it should reboot automatically right? However can I change the startup button because if the phone turns off it won't boot again unless I flash again through Odin which is a pain. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advanced guys

if u still have your warranty, you can get it to a service center... they would fix the power button..
My friend bought the phone off a private seller so no such warranty :/ thanks for the reply however

what can I do?
If I try to shut down with power button, after 2 second the phone power one again...
the only way to shut down is remove battery
Flash this file in PDA in Odin, see if that helps. : http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1597045&d=1356657742

I tried to find similar threads but didn't find something related to the problem I have, So here we go:
My GSM and I were having a happy life using [CM7.2][MiniScape v1.6] without problems. One day I decided to flash the Lewa lite MultiLanguage and everything changed.. At first boot the phone was normal, fast and without problems but then, Wild reboots appeared for unknown reason. After some hours thinking, I figured out that it was the Power Button.
When I press the power button (normal press) it doesn't lock & turn off the screen, but appears the power menu and after a few seconds: the phone gets a reboot. If the phone is off and I connect the charger, the charge animation appears for a few secs and then the phone boot normally (like if I wanted to turn it on).
I did the following:
Wiped data/cache in CWM and flashed back the [CM7.2][MiniScape v1.6] but the problem persisted.
Wiped again And Then formated data, cache, system partition and flashed [CM7.2][MiniScape v1.6] again but I were having the same problem
I haven't used ODIN yet because I want to know why is this happening. If the power button were hard pressed or something, the phone would turn on whenever the phone is off with battery, right?
What is your opinion about this?
It looks like the button is stuck.

I was going to do that.. But magically the problem disappeared.. I did wipe and format the partitions again and flashed the rom normally, and The problem with the button was fixed.. I also tried installing the Lewa Multilenguage and worked without problems.. The phone works fine now (and If the problem were still there, I would have used the lock & power off statusbar buttons). But I'm really curious about this.. I mean, what could have happened? It seems to be a software issue..(?)
I had EXACTLY the same problem. Its not hardware. It can not be hardware.Life mysteris....

Try installing this "advanced power menu": http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2715107
Same problem here, I reported it to the dev, also tried "advanced power menu" module but it did nothing. So I re-flashed it and everything work well. Strange bug though...Actually on my phone when I hold the power button it launched the boot animation then crashed in the middle of it before restarting again. :rolleye:
