hi.
I was using HTC One with Android Revolution and I would like to go back to stock.
unfortunately I have lost my nandroid and radio back ups (updated radio to latest one)
I was able to get nandroid backup from xda (thank you)
and restore it. however when I try to OTA update or factory reset it says security warning in bootloader
researching through google I realized that updated radio prevents me from doing OTA update and factory reset.
Is it possible to get a radio back up for bell or does anyone know how to make it work?
Thank you!

I am in a similar situation... I found the stock OTAs, which apparently have the stock radios. The only difference is that I don't want to go back to stock everything, just stock radio. Maybe we can help each other out?
h t t p : / / bugsylawson.com/files/category/216-otas/ <-- remove spaces, I am not allowed to post URLs...
I assume OTA_M7_UL_JB_50_BM_1.29.666.17_R-1.29.666.5_release_318664_signeddb6wjtuapczkgotc.zip the BM stands for Bell Mobility (assuming you are in Canada also).
Do you (or anyone reading) have an way to just extract the radio firmware and keep the root/ROM portion of my phone alive?
Reason is, the radios in Android Revolution HD for Canada I think are the Rogers ones, and I lost my HSPA+. Meaning I go between 3G and LTE (which is not too often).
Thanks in advance!
Did you guys ever find a Bell Radio File?
I am also looking for a Bell Mobility Radio.

Thanks! Curious if you are using the radio with the stock BM firmware or with a newer version firmware. Also how can I backup my radio using CWM so I can restore it if the provided radio doesnt work out for me.

I'm not using that radio anymore. That radio was taken from my One the day I got it a month ago. I have since done the full GPE conversion and am using the radio that it comes with.
You can't backup your radio directly using CWM. You have to use dd and manually dump the radio partition to a file.

All M7_UL (except some asian CIDs) are now using the same radio version on lollipop: 4T.35.3218.16_10.33Q.1718.01L including Bell Mobility
which you can confirm when looking at the Bell Mobility RUU name: PN07IMG_M7_UL_L50_SENSE60_MR_BM_7.17.666.7_Radio_4T.35.3218.16_10.33Q.1718.01L_release_420193_signed.zip

Or can be extracted from any M7_UL 7.xx.xxx.x firmware. :good:

I already tried that one, and my ex-Verizon phone (S-off, MID & CID adjusted, appropriate LTE bands enabled, build.prop changed to Bell/302610) still would not connect with a Bell SIM. I am now contemplating finding an older hboot/radio and trying to revert to 4..2-4.3. Do you have an opinion on this idea?

During the process of rooting my phone, I somehow ended up with my provider information saying
Rogers AT&T
Rogers AT&T
I haven't seen anyone else with this issue, and as far as I can tell it's purely cosmetic, but it's annoying and I want to get rid of it. I figured the best route was to unroot to stock, then root again.
Now I've searched and come across multiple ways to unroot, but I'm not quite sure what is what.
My current SPL is 1.33.2005
My current Radio is 2.22.19.261
Now, I've seen 2 ways of doing this.
1. Download the rogersradio and rogersrecovery image files, then run the rogers update.zip.
2. Download the latest software update from rogers and bang, unrooted.
The problem with #1 is that I can't find a rogers update.zip. The problem with #2 is that it sounds too easy.
Any suggestions?
You can find the instructions to go back to stock rogers here. I've been looking for the back up radio for a while so that I can try the G1 radio and other roms and finally found it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=544654&highlight=losemyroot
Yeah, that's the first one I came across...
I was fine until I saw:
and flash the update.zip found somewhere on this forum ;P

That seems to be the issue, I can't find the update.zip that corresponds to the rogers version.
http://www.stevebirstok.com/android/losemyroot.zip
That's just the radio and recovery.
From the sounds of it, you need these flashed before you flash the update.zip....
Regardless, heres the original radio (3.22.20.17) and the original recovery (WARNING: UNROOTED) from rogers dream:
losemyroot.zip
Code:
fastboot flash radio rogersradio.img
fastboot flash recovery rogersrecovery.img
fastboot erase system -w

Tried replacing downloader recoveries etc still no luck and I have come to conclusion that the radio might be the problem.

I am on rumrunner hboot 1.55.5555.
I have been having some strange problems, and am wondering if my hboot could be the source. I think it is the only part of the firmware I haven't flashed trying to fix things. The main problem I am having is no service on non-sense roms. It started when I flashed ViperOne, with a full wipe, coming from Noctournal GE. I flashed back to a stock based ROM, and service is back. But I can no longer flash non-sense roms and have functioning service.
I flashed OMJ's modified firmware and twrp 2.6.3.4, then did a full wipe - didn't fix anything. Tried to RUU - it says "The ROM Update Utility cannot update your Android phone. Please get the correct ROM Update Utility and try again." When the utility showed the old and new baseband [?] numbers before it tried to flash, they were the same.
I am about to flash the unmodified firmware in the hopes that it will fix something, will report my findings. If anyone could steer me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it! :highfive:
It's not a firmware problem. If you want to use it with GSM networks you need a SENSE rom, it has always been like this. The ruu probably doesn't work because you are trying to downgrade and are s-on. If you want to downgrade you need to be s-off, or find a ruu that is the same version or newer than the current firmware

What do GSM networks have to do with anything? I've had perfect service on AOSP/GE roms until this problem occurred. rumrunner hboot means I am s-off FYI. I also said nothing about downgrading, the question is should I upgrade.

Have you updated your radios?
Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk
OK, so about 9 months ago I rooted my Three branded HTC one, installed CWM recovery and put ARHD12 on there and it's been brilliant. Three are now rolling out the 4G radio updates which as far as I understand is entirely separate to any ROM such as ARHD. So how do I get the radio update? Do I have to go back to stock? If so, now's the time to confess I didn't take a backup before I installed ARHD. So I guess I need the most recent Three RUU - do I have to remove CWM before I install it? I'm not a n00b - I managed to do this on my own last time and I'm fairly technically competent. The only problem I have now is one of time - I can't spend an entire day figuring stuff out due to the 9-month old bundle of joy that requires a fair bit of attention! If you can help me with a fairly simple outline of what to do in what order, that would be very much appreciated. Cheers!

You will have to return completely to stock. That means everything must be as it was out of the box. As for the ruu for your carrier, if they released it then it should be in one of the stickies.

I'm on Three in the UK and before I flashed a custom ROM I made sure I got S-Off then flashed the latest unbranded firmware(FUU_4.19.401.9-TWRP2633_combined_nowipe.exe which I got from XDA) and then changed my CID to SuperCID. After that I flashed custom ROM without flashing a stock ROM. LTE/4G works perfectly ok.

Thanks Heat57. I'm currently S-On, Unlocked, Tampered. I've also found this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2419699
which seems to contain all of the radio files in the world, and also all of the firmware. This radio:
(1.29.401.12 WWE OTA) Radio_4A.14.3250.13_10.33.1150.01L
Looks interested, but you say you never flashed your radio? When did you get your one?
I'm thinking from your post I'm going to get S-OFF (using Revone, yes?) and flash a firmware to see if the 4G radio options show up. I can't see the one you mentioned - could you recommend one from the above thread? Also, it says TWRP - I'm using CWM - is that a problem?
Final question - if I do a backup I'm backing up the radio and firmware as well? So if I make a total plums of this I can get back to CWM and restore?
TIA for any further help you can give me

Well, I flashed the firmware, which amongst other hardware bits includes the radio. My first goal was to unlock the bootloader and then S-Off, as the latter removes any potential issues with firmware flashes and the like. I also went and changed CID to 11111111, which I understand is SuperCID and enables flashing of firmware and ROMs of different CID designations. Please beware, YOU MUST BE S-OFF FOR FIRMWARE FLASHING!!!
Regarding your question of revone, if you're on hboot 1.44 then yes, revone, hboot version 1.54 and 1.55 only work with rumrunner and latest versions require the 'firewater' exploit.
I am relatively new to HTC, although I owned an original Desire many years ago, so I still remember the peculiarities of HTC ROM. I had a Galaxy Note 2 and rooting and flashing ROMs there is a piece of cake by comparison. I digress.
Unlike most other manufacturers, where you get everything included in the custom ROM, it seems with HTC that is not the case, hence if you want to update your radio for example, you need to flash a firmware package. Therefore, I am not certain if a Nandroid would restore the firmware, if you encounter any problems, maybe someone more knowledgeable can confirm. In any event, if you're S-Off then flashing any firmware for the M7ul should work, so worst case, if you mess up you could always flash the one I pointed out via adb. Here is a link to the latest firmware http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2485651
Regarding the recovery, I just prefer TWRP and use the one but last version 2.6.3.4, which works perfectly. #However, there is no reason why your CWM should not be adequate. Before I took the jump, after just receiving my One, I read through the threads for about a day to make sure I got it right.
Finally, if you end up rooted and S-Off then there is a supper little flashable zip called 'Guru_Bootloade_Reset_1.0.zip' that allows you to remove the tampered flag, relock the bootloader and unlock it again by simply flashing it and selecting what you want in it's aroma installer. You'll find it on XDA as well, justuse the search function.
Hi, I have an AT&T HTC One M7 with stock 4.3. I would like to update to 4.4 stock(whatever is the latest version), but I can't do OTA update because I don't have AT&T I am using a pre-paid carrier(AIO/Cricket) that uses their network.
How can I manually update? And if I do, does it completely reset my phone like a custom rom? Thanks.

Ota updates dosent reset the phone.
You can not receive ota update if you are not on the AT&T network unless you flash it manually. Flashing ota manually require S-OFF.
You could also use "close-to-stock" custom roms to get the latest version.
If s-off you can also change your CID/MID numbers and debrand your phone from at&t to the WWE or DevEd version to get future ota updates.

Correct? Also, will this reset my phone or do I keep my numbers/texts/apps/etc.?

No theirs 2 OTA their flash them in order the RUU then 4.4.2 then the Sense 6 .
Yes the RUU will totally wipe the phone. If you sure you didn't loose the preload/data folder you can try just flashing the 3.xx stock recovery then the 4.4.2 otapkg you won't loose data that way

SO if I flash the recovery, it won't wipe my phone? I'm still on stock 4.2.

none of those 3 will files will wipe the phone
using the RUU will for sure wipe the phone, which you may need if just flashing the recovery does not work (IE: Missing files from the data / preload folder)

Flashing a recovery will not generally wipe your phone.
