NO FRILLS CPU what is the best setting to be set?

Try ondemand governor. At least the usage will be reasonable.
Leave the minimum and maximum setting at it's default.

Since there is no custom kernel available..just use seeder and greenify.

I cant set my cpu freq to 1000mhz. Max i can go is 800mhz. Why? Im on antutu cpu master. Setcpu wont work. After using setcpu, my device will go super laggy.

Turn off power saving mode in settings, then increase to 1000mhz.

Is there one in particular to use? Or is there one at all?

You can use No Frill CPU governor. But it will work only if your device is rooted.

I saw that one, but none seem to offer voltage control. Is that something to do with our specific kernel? I really hope not, I'd love to undervolt it a little bit to squeeze more battery life out of this thing.

Mind sharing some of your trickster settings? I just rooted my gear and installed Trickster and noticed there are different settings available to us. I changed the CPU Idle Mode to AFTR+LPA to see if there's any power savings there.
I changed read ahead to 256 and governer to performance.
