Hello to all,
I have installed the SlimBean [v6] [kernel 3.0] ~01/06/13~ released a few days ago. Unlike the previous version, the current does not synchronize in background the e-mails of my Gmail account and email addresses of the Gmail address book.
I have to open the Gmail app and manually sync my mail.
Is there anyone who has a solution? Has anyone encountered this strange behavior?
Thank you and best regards,
Manugi
Check settings > Accounts > Google
check that rom thread and ask there
Op cant since he has only 1 post.. You need, as you were aware yourself, 10 posts before you can reply on topics in the development

It seems after flashing a load of ROMS recently my IMAP email is no longer functioning as it was.
Situation.
I have a Gmail account with a number of different labels IMAP enabled.
I have a Mac with AppleMail working which recognises these labels and colours accordingly.
Nexus One running Kangorama CM6 RC2 b2
I woud be eternally helpful if someone could help me with the settings so that I can have the following situation.
Email comes into Gmail.
It appears on both Mac and Nexus.
If I delete it from any of the sources it is deleted permanently, instead of being filed away in the nether regions of gmail online.
Many thanks.
OK, apologies for wasting time.
I fixed issues by
Settings > Applications > All > Google Mail > Clear Data
And then opening GMAIL and allowing a resync.
Hi all!
After installing the latest firmware for I9000, i9000XWJP6.
Im not able to sync my Google Apps account after setting it up as an exchange account, with m.google.com as the server.
Setting it up as IMAP and POP3 works perfectly.
Does anyone have a fix for this issue, or do I need to downgrade down to 2.1?
Checked the forum, but could not find a similar thread.
i found my galaxy note has the exchange email issue. it doesnt sync the email automatically. it seems that function is sleeping that if i go the app of email it will refresh to get new email in my account, after that sync function works well for a period(push automatically). However, maybe after 4-5 hours or longer. automatic push function will stop (sleep again)!!!! is that the bug of email app? have other people meet the same question with me? anybody have any solution of that issue?
that account works fine in galaxy tab 7, no delay, receive email on time.
thx
check if you have any task manager killing the process?
I have same problem too.....must manual click/select the mail client app again, and pretty sure not kill any background process....
Me too, still.
Troubleshooting on Office website
Do an exact Google search for "Fail to sync with Exchange ActiveSync on an Android" (I'd post the direct link but the forum won't let me) - top result should be on the office365 site, which details lots of similar issues, and lots of suggestions. Unfortunately none of them worked for me
I'm running CM9 Nightly (8/8/12). I obviously need to sign into my gmail account in order to use the play store. However, I don't want to sync anything from that account. The reason is that the tablet is shared by the family and I don't want anyone to accidently send e-mail from my account. I also don't want everyone reading my e-mails. After I signed it I went to accounts & sync and turned off syncing with google. However, my e-mail is still in the gmail app. I tried clearing cache and data on the gmail app, but that didn't work either. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Is there any way to avoid this?
Should I create a new gmail account like 'ryanDONTSYNC' in order to have something to log into that doesn't have e-mail / contacts / calendar items?
Thanks,
Ryan

Hi all, trying to get exchange active sync to sync tasks from Outlook (exchange server) to my phone without having to purchase a 3rd party app from the play store.
It seems that the stock android email clients that come with CM9/CM10 do not do this. After trawling through XDA and multiple google searches I have seen evidence to say that the Samsung email clients that come with the i9100 does this, so wondering if it's the same for the i9000.
Please, can someone that has a 2.3.x Samsung ROM (stock or customised) with exchange active sync see if the tasks sync or not.
Appreciate the help.
