So I recently been playing around with ARHD 10.1 and love the 4.2.2 changes. However, I can't help but notice everything is coming up UK on my phone (I'm assuming because it is an international rom?) Google, Amazon, etc. I can't for the life of me figure out how to change things back to US.
Or is it something I flat out can't do unless I throw a stock or Americanized rom on there?

When you first flash after full wipe English UK is the first language choice. You need to pick English US.

Hmm. k. Don't recall that option in the installer they used so guess I'll try reflashing and see if I missed it. Thanks. Figured it wouldn't be an easy setting to just change

If this has been asked more than once, I apologize!
I got this phone couple days ago and I stumbled upon this forum to notice many different themes. I was wondering how you change it from the original Captivate theme to the themes the makers made here. Thanks
Are you rooted? Do you have a certain rom? Because you cant get a theme from developers until your rooted and have a Rom that the theme is for?

I am rooted (I think since I searched it up and did what the person told me) as for ROM, I'm not quite sure if I do.

Here's an easy way to see if your rooted, go into your apps and see if you have an app called superuser. If you do, then you are rooted but if not then you are not. As for the rom I'm not sure as to what rom you have I'm not sure.

Don't worry about it haha we were all new once .

Read this guide over, it will explain how to install a custom rom, which is basically ( in very simplified terms) just a new very advanced theme that replaces the old stock one that comes with the phone. That link can tell you everything you need to know. Just be REALLY careful! the first time I tried to install a new rom my phone got messed up and i couldn't use it for three days. But anyways, have fun and welcome to the site!

I suggest Phoenix as your ROM. Its very simple to use and has good speed and good battery life. It's the first rom I had .
Here's the link http://www.phoenix-hq.com/ to the site with the downloads from everything from the Rom to Themes for the Rom to wallpapers.
If you need anything else feel free to PM me.
Thanks to Task for providing us this before KMM 3.2 came.
but some users were wanting the Israel version instead of the US (some say is smoother and more responsive)
I got lucky and kept the CW zip file of it and so decided to uploaded for you guys that are wanting this.
Note this version is as stock as you get and so is not rooted..but the same rooting procedure applies so no issues there.

Remember to wipe everything incl cache before installing.
Also remember this will come with hebrew letter so remember to change to english language
again.same disclaimer ...

I am running kk1 from Taiwan it has an earliest release date
Had enough with custum ROM's as they always have issues for the sake of half a sec speed increase
Kk1 runs very smoothly so just check samfirmware though for that you may need odin
I highly recommend it
Grab it from here

Hello I am having some problems when trying to save wifi passwords on my ones. every time I shut off my phone they do not save and I have to re enter them. Is there any fix for this?
it was doing it on both trickdroid and android revolution. I have the ATT version.
Any help would be great, thanks for your time.

This is a known issue. I believe the fix is to choose international version when you flash the Rom and not ATT. You will find more about it if you search the trickdroid thread.

Hi guys.
I recently flashed Android Revolution HD 13.4 onto my phone because I was unsure of v21.0 However, I saw that Blinkfeed can be removed on 4.3 so I figured I might give v21.0 a shot. However, I've heard there are a few issues with v21.0 but apparently it may vary between different members/phone.
So my first question is: what are some known issues so far?
My second question is: do I just flash v21.0 like I normally do with other roams?
Apparently, I might have to install different firmwares on my phone. However, the problem is to be able to do that, I need S-OFF. Unfortunately, my hboot is v1.54 so it seems my phone is no longer capable of achieving S-OFF status. Will this, overall, hinder my ability to upgrade to ARHD v21.0?
Cheers everyone.

Known issues:
1- you need to enter APN manually
2- can't access SIM card contacts
You don't need to update firmware, it's optional.
Wiping is recommended since it's a new base, to avoid potential bugs.
Just do a nandroid and try it out

I have s-on. Never remember seeing anything on the page that requires s-off. It was optional for both ROM. I just did 12.3 to 21.0 like a week ago with no problems. Contacts come from exchange and Gmail so I haven't noticed anything to report whatsoever. It has been rock solid on my One from at&t. I just backed up everything via Helium and restored. Tried Titanium and it was pure garbage and would kill my phone every restore attempt.

Cheers to the both of you for the quick responses. It seems I might just be a little paranoid with all the different roms and such. Welp, since my warranty's now void with all the unlocking and rooting and such that I've done, I might as well go nuts with the flashing and what not.

Cheers buddy. Just one more quick question. What is a 'base'? I know it seems like an absurd question but there's a lot of jargon being used that I'm now pretty confused. :silly:

The base usually refers to which Android version the ROM is based on.
For the One, it started with 4.1.1 then 4.2.2 and now 4.3 (they're all JellyBean, just newer versions)

The base actually refers to the software version not android version. e.g the Skydragon rom im using is made from the 3.18.401.1 base from HTC. Hence if you hear someone talking about a new base its not a new android verson but a newer software build from HTC (uisually to iron out bugs and improve system performance)
Dont all hit thanks at once lol :laugh::laugh:

Base is the HTC version, which in turn is based on an Android version, my bad.

Hi guys, I'm long time reader first time poster. I usually like to blaze my own trails, but I think it's time I got some help. I have a HTC One (M7), it is or was rooted. running android 4.3. It's an O2 Ireland phone. Any other details you need quiz me!
The problem I am having is that I have wiped the OS off the phone (foolishly) while playing around TWRP. I have been trying to sideload a stock ROM (4.4.2 stock T-Mobile) onto my device in attempt to save the day, alas could not.
I won't try to pretend like I know what I'm doing, infact I know very little about android... So.
Could some kind individual please step me through what I need to do before I do more damage? Thanks in advance!

If you don't care about loosing your data, flash an RUU which will re-install your OS, but wipe everything else. Your title says M8, but your post says M7. If you have an M8, just use an sdcard to put the tmobile rom zip on and flash it using twrp. If you have an M7, that isn't an option.
Just search around for instructions and downloads for the RUU files.

Yes, sorry for the confusion. I have an M7. That is why this is sort of above my skill level. Backups never bother me. As for RUUs? Does it have to be an O2 RUU for my O2 phone or can it just be an RUU of another network? I'm finding it hard to get my hands on the particular one I need. The Kind user who hosts the RUUs, Sirkrushalot... I think, well his site isn't working so well for me. Thank you for your swift reply. At this moment I have no mobile phone now. And in this day and age it feels like a part of me is missing haha.

Yeah you do need to flash the RUU that has the same CID (carrier) as your phone. This works if you're on O2.
