Your question was answered 2 posts above!

I been wanting to do this for some time, and it seems that the key to do this is here:
This is the part in the catalog that makes the switch to beats ON, when setting it to OFF the code is 800 instead of 900, now the question should be how can we set this from tasker or other automation app? I'll start searching, maybe someone knows.
Code:
11-23 01:40:11.350 D/AudioService(608): setGlobalEffect id=900 , appName=com.android.settings
11-23 01:40:11.350 D/AudioService(608): [HtcBeatsEffect]setSystemSoundEffect id=900
11-23 01:40:11.390 D/AudioService(608): [HtcBeatsEffect]checkBeatsSupport mMirrorOn=false mMiracastOn=false mSubwooferOn=falsemSubwooferHeadset=false mHeadsetConnected=false mBTHeadsetConnected=false mHDMIOn=false mBeatsSpeaker=true
11-23 01:40:11.400 D/AudioService(608): [HtcBeatsEffect]convertEffect before=900
11-23 01:40:11.400 D/AudioService(608): [HtcBeatsEffect]convertEffect after=900
11-23 01:40:11.400 D/AudioService(608): [HtcBeatsEffect]setParameters(global_effect=Beats)
11-23 01:40:11.400 D/AudioService(608): broadcastSoundEffectChanged effect=900
11-23 01:40:11.400 D/AudioService(608): [HtcBeatsEffect]onMessageBeatsNotify active=false effect=900
11-23 01:40:11.400 D/AudioService(608): [HtcBeatsEffect]getSoundEffect

[Q] Script for incoming call volume issue

Hey guys I was just wondering that it would be possible to write a script for incoming call volume issue. Now it is known that pressing the volume down and up keys several times restores the call volume. So if the script could detect incoming calls and simulate the keypressing it can restore the volume then we could set it to run at boot. This would be a temporary fix but a fix anyway. I m not a techie so just need feedback from you guys.

good idea!!!
Sure!
Use the app "tasker"
set condition:incoming call
action:to adjust volume
Sorry,My english is bad!
Pls see the attached files!
in my case, the workaround for this bug is to toggle the speakerphone off and then on.
This also boosts the media volume significantly if the headphone is jacked in

Yeah. Does it work fine with other ROMS. Also JB has some problems with WiFi. You can try CM9 and report back

Are you using the latest nightly? I never had problems with wifi with cm10. If your nvram is corrupt then you'll have problems with wifi.
Can you give logcat of wifi? (Please not the whole logcat.)
Well i know how to make a logcat but WiFi logcat?
Its just copying WiFi from logcat?

I've always had WiFi problems on 4.1.1. Even from official updates. I think it's just how it is. Most get WiFi but you could be like me, WiFi doesn't work on JB. Even on my One X+. I think it's the routers your school is using.

To my mind it can be a problem with wifi channels. Cm10 wifi works only in 1-10 range. As far as im concerned, there is no solution to change that channels range. In cm7 there is option in advanced options in wifi to change that range. By flashing cm7, by boype for example, you can see if its this problem or not.
Well this happen when i turn on WiFi

In North america channels 12 and up isn't allowed or is only allowed in certain condition (wikipedia: List of WLAN channels) so CM follows that probably set it so.

I'm from Spain and i had the same problem.
Try this, for me works!!
Alex Kloss12/10/2012After editing /system/etc/wifi/nvram.txt to change "ccode=ALL" to "ccode=EU" (had to remount the partition with rw attribute) and restarting my p970, it works. However, this solution is obviously far from being perfect.
Any pointers on where the sqlite3-db-setting is put into effect in the sources? I'm interested in the background of this strange little bug.

[Q] Already hook a method of one activity, how to call another func in this activity

[Q] Already hook a method of one activity, how to call another func in this activity?
I hook A method of MainActivity, and I also know this activity has func B.
then, after i hooked A with handleLoadPackage -> findAndHookMethod,
i got the param.thisObject(MethodHookParam param), but if i use below code, it will show error in xposed,
Code: MainActivity MainAct = (MainActivity)param.thisObject;
Error in xposed: java.lang.ClassCastException: com.test.test.MainActivity cannot be cast to com.test.test.MainActivity.
....
what's wrong here and how to fix it or to implement my request: after hook A then call B, thanks!

You cannot cast to the class that's defined only in target package - you don't know anything about that class at design/compile time.
It's available only during runtime, when your code is running in target app context.
To call a method simply use:
XposedHelpers.callMethod(param.thisObject, "B"); or
XposedHelpers.callMethod(param.thisObject, "B", params...); in case function has parameters.

WiFi connected state doesn't trigger

Here's very basic example, beginning of my task. Can anyone explain to me why it doesn't work when I connect to WiFi?
Edit the state options, you want to change active from yes to any.
The reason why it's not working is that the state is looking for a specific SSID to match from the active option

OpenVPN 3.0.X - Connect and Disconnect with Tasker (Solution)

Hi All,
It would appear that the interface / code changed rather a lot in the most recent update and the previous intents are no longer working.
I have figured out how to fix this. Please follow the directions below.
Important Note: Your profile name is now prefixed with PC. E.g. My profile of test.co.uk/example [user] would now be PC test.co.uk/example [user]
So, here are the settings (don't include the curly brackets):
Connect
Action: net.openvpn.openvpn.CONNECT
Extra: net.openvpn.openvpn.AUTOSTART_PROFILE_NAME: PC {Your profile name}
Extra: net.openvpn.openvpn.AUTOCONNECT: true
Package: net.openvpn.openvpn
Class: net.openvpn.unified.MainActivity
Target: Activity
Disconnect
Action: net.openvpn.openvpn.DISCONNECT
Extra: net.openvpn.openvpn.STOP: true
Package: net.openvpn.openvpn
Class: net.openvpn.unified.MainActivity
Target: Activity
Edit: As of the current version (3.0.4), OpenVPN no longer remains in the foreground on disconnect.
Awesome... Thanks for the fix.

Yes - It is very annoying that OpenVPN remains on the foreground on Disconnect.
Can Tasker's Kill App be used for this purpose?

:highfive: Thank you for finding this. I had to downgrade 1.1.27 to get my task to work, but now I've got the new UI and working tasks, so THANK YOU.
As a lazy workaround to the app remaining in the foreground I've added a 1-second wait then 2 AutoInput Back actions:
"Intent to end OpenVPN connection"
2. Wait = 1 second
3. AutoInput Global Action = Back
4. AutoInput Global Action = Back

You will need the AutoInput Tasker plugin for this to work. You can get it from here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.joaomgcd.autoinput
1. Follow the above steps for the Disconnect task
2. Hit the + to add a new action
In the list that pops up, select Task -> Wait and change it to 1 second
3. Hit the + button to add a new action
In the list select Plugin -> AutoInput -> Global Action
Hit the pencil icon next to Configuration
Hit Action -> Select Back from the list
Hit the check mark on the top right, then hit the back button to return to the Actions list
4. Repeat #3
Your Actions list should look like the attached image.
I had to add the AutoInput 'Back' action twice since OpenVpn Connect backs out of the VPN Profile screen into the main app screen. The second Back action takes you to back into your last app/activity.
It's a lazy workaround so I'm sure someone will come up with something better in time.
Go Home tasker task
As another workaround for OpenVPN Connect staying in the foreground on Disconnect I added this tasks to my disconnect profile
Wait 5 seconds
Go Home
Tasker has a Go Home task built in that effectively works for this use case!

I originally followed a guide here: https://collinmbarrett.com/android-tasker-openvpn/
That should tell you where to find the necessary actions.
Use the updated values in OP instead of those listed on the site, though.

First of all, thank you for this post.
Currently I'm using "go home" to "close" open vpn after disconnect.
Latest change log says "* added minimize app on disconnect shortcut feature"
Do you think we can use it in Tasker somehow to natively minimize the app after disconnect?

After updating, it actually closes itself automatically now. It happens very quickly - I don't even see the OpenVPN UI.

Hello,
I am using Automate its pretty much the same in terms of use like tasker.
But it's free and you Programm flows. But when I try this without using the back back option the disconnect interface didn't close it self.
Did you comment something new in the action blocks?
