how do i get 480/720p on cyan 6?

i think cyan 6 stable comes with 720p? can i choose between 480 and 720? in the app i see a "high" and "low" option both at 30fps, but the "low" option looks really, really low, is that 480? thanks

720p has been in since RC3 and is definately in CM6.
If you change the mode to "Custom" and then press the "settings" (from within the camera" you can then scroll through the settings to get to the mountain of options, including resolutions (which are all listed as QVGA, WVGA etc. instead of 320x240, 640x480 etc. which is a pain in the ass).

Thanks, when I choose custom and press menu my only options are "gallery" and "switch to camera"
After flashing cyan I stupidly flashed a separate 720p zip and it was successful (a friend told me cyan didn't come with 720 and I had no reason to doubt him, this is my first custom rom, I only just rooted), maybe I have that camera apk now? If so, any idea how I can get rid of that flashed zip? Or do I have to wipe and reflash cyan? Thanks

It's not the menu-button you should press, but the on-screen configuration button which is the top one of the row to the right (or the one to the far right in portrait mode). There you get a long list of options which you can scroll through.
edit: Was feeling helpful today, so I attached a picture with some fancy Paint-editing on it

is the video still blurry except for the 720p option? go ahead and try to record a video mms, or a 480 video, and it has been total blurry the last 2 months. has this been fixed in the final release?

[Q] Xperia T Camera Resolution

According to the specs the Xperia T has a 13 megapixel Camera
When I first got this phone the settings for the camera let you select 13mp as the highest resolution setting
A couple of days ago my phone updated itself to jelly bean and now the highest resolution I can select in the camera settings now says 12mp
Does anyone know what the deal is here did they typo and it is actually 13mp as advertised or have they crippled the camera with this update?
its 12mp probably because you using superior mode..try change to normal mode, it suppose change to 13mp..
thanks for that
I don't even know what that superior mode is, did it get added with the update?

Yes it did. As far as I know "superior auto mode" is supposed to automatically select the "scene" mode among the options it offered you beofre, and because it may activate HDR, which is limited to 12 Mpixels, that's why it shows the reduced resolution.

[Q] Camera problem

I just noticed my camera issue and the problem is that in the day time, My camera quality is really awesome no doubt...!!! even the front camera is awesome..however in the night, the camera is dull, when I click images, some whiteness on the edges comes and it's not at all clear images..!!
Is this issue with my phone or with everyone??
most of the people have the same issue , however with the latest firmware people are saying the night / low light camera quality has improved.
i havent tried it personally but if you search around most of the people will agree

I feel that the hardware is not to be blamed here...
The software here is at fault..
The superior auto mode is not so superior in its job(it's ok if you want to capture something real-quick)... But if you want the best from the hardware you'll have to turn to manual controls...(Camera FV-5 is the best app I know for that)
Jpeg compression is just too much here...thus we can see the lack of detail in some photos(macro)
To get the best of the camera,My suggestions are as follows :-
If you like the stock camera app... 1)Turn off superior auto mode... Switch to manual mode
2) set the ISO at 200 (max) for daylight photography,,,,400 for twilight
3) HDR off
4) metering mode set to average
And if you still want better results:
1) install Camera FV-5 (full version support developer )
2) go to settings -> photo encoding settings -> file format -> set it to PNG ( it takes some seriously huge pics (15 mb..:-o) )
3) now apply all the manual controls mentioned above
If you think what difference does the above methods do to the quality of the photos... Take a photo with normal method (superior auto) and then manual method... And then compare..
If you feel that I've helped you in anyway, please hit the thank button

[Q] CM 10.2 camera app

Hi
Does anybody know how can I change camera app picture ratio to 16:9. Unfortunetally I could not find any option in settings menu.
Thank you in "S"advance

Themes / Apps / Mods GCam Port v8.7

it works.
Is that any better? I tried it and it's closing after every click, and saving only a thumbnail size version of the picture.

make sure that the storage saver option is turned off and camera photo resolution is set to full resolution
also set the interface and model to pixel 3 (blueline)
edit: the app works fine if i change the model; only changing the interface closes the app everytime

nope i installed the app and tweaked some basic settings like auto night sight and all but didn't use any config file
also most of the things are working on my device except the top shot option which closes the camera every time i take a picture otherwise video recording, night sight, awb and portrait mode are working just fine
It works fine, but no aux cam detected.
