I have managed to mod this for our TX.
Just flash it.
Backup before do anything, you know the drill.
Update:
I just fixed the problem and flash this, it will work.
I tried to flash on mine twice to make sure it work.

Thanks for this. This make me wanting to root and install cwm. But I will backup carefully, in case of April fool

It's for stock odex rom.
I tried both zip, installation (via CWM or TRWP) is so fast that it seems nothing is done.
And after reboot, nothing change.

I don't get it.
You can try to push these to system/app and system/framework and see?
Maybe my flashable zip has a problem.
I'm still learning here, you know.
I'll try tomorrow.
2 questions before :
- i've got systemUI.odex, SemcGenericUxpRes.odex; i delete them ?
- which zip i use, the first one at the beginning of the topic, or the second one ?
(odex and deodex are not my cup of tea ^^ )
Both zips are the same now.
I deleted my SystemUI.odex but didn't delete the SemcGenericUxpRes.odex. I don't think it matters.
You can try. Make backup.
Any Dev out there can help look into it, will be great.
If any of you interested in my themed one, you can try this out.
http://db.tt/75zhJ5oM
So....
All operations are done by copy/paste via Es Explorer
1- remove SemcGenericUxpRes.odex and then copy of framework-res.apk and SemcGenericUxpRes.apk
2- phone automaticaly reboots
3- remove SystemUI.odex and then copy SystemUI.apk
4- FC of wiffi access point, impossible to reboot normally, the only solution was to remove battery.
5- reboot of phone, everything seems to work.
See in attached different screenshots.
First one, original screen without changes
Second one, after step 2. Icon in left touch is bigger than the other ones, icon in right touch is not centered.
Third one, after step 5. Icon in right touch is not centered, and background is zoomed.
And for me, orange stuffs and modified icons, no thanks.
I prefer stock Sony layout.

u can open the systemui.apk by .7z and find the images of "back"icon in the folder res/drawble-xhdpi
edit it by ps or fireworks to make it fit
and save it as a .png ,keep it transparent
then replace the original back icon(dont forget that there is a icon for land, it should be smallen too)
the ime icon is bigger as well so u might make it samll too
it should work coz thats what ive done:laugh:

I flashed twice with the clean Rom and no problem at. Anyone has the same problem ?
I'm trying to do this mod myself. If ever I get the hang of it, I'll post a guide.
OP, did you do the one by editing the resources.arsc on vbindiff? If it is, what's the best way to see the hex difference? I'm stuck whole day the other day trying this mod as well but I cannot find the hex value that I needed to edit. Any technique on how to spot it quickly? Thanks in advance.

Hello xda users,
I think i know a method to solve the problem with "Invert" display on SXTX
Story:
Around 2-3 months ago when i bought my SXTX i started to flashing the phone with various ROMs till i tried the Sony Xperia T Rom on TX... i did smtg wrong and my phone's screen got invert 360 degree.
I tried to find a way to solve the problem, read the russian and english forums but nothing helped me. The phone was brand new with warranty so my last chance was the service center, thats why i accurately flashed back my phoe to all stock then send to market where i bought and i was lucky because they said that the phone is "Brack" therefore they send me a new phone!
After a long time, today im flashed my phone, root, cwm... then installed Xposed framework and i think i find a way to solve the previous problem with "Invert display".
How:
- You have SXTX!
1.You need to root the phone (SuperSU)... i know its a bit hard cause everything is invert but its possible (i did this a lot of times)
2. Install Xposed framework.
3. Go to Xposed framework, press Framework then install update. You need to get this:
4. Press reboot
5.Go again to Xposed, press Download and find "Gravity Box (JB)". Download it and install, then go back to main many of Xposed and press Modules and check the "Gravity Box", then go to Framework and reboot.
6. You have GravityBox. Start it from appdrawer and press "Display tweaks" and as you can see there is an option called "Allow all rotation" - check it!
7. The last step to rotate your phone in your hand to 360 degree!!! (Normal position)
I need testers! Hope there is no one!!!
My phone now have no this problem, no invert display so i cant test it, but im sure that it will work!!!

dude 360 degree would be as normal
you meant 180 degree right?
now i have this problem.
the main problem is solved by putting this line into build.prop: "ro.fs.hwrotation=180"
but the sony logo and cwm are still inverted any solution?

Hi Guys!
So I got my hands on an HTC One Mini 2 Demo Unit. Don't ask me how or why. (NOT STOLEN!)
I have tried to get rid of the Demo mode app but without success.
This is what I have done:
Unlocked the bootloader
Flashed TWRP
This is what I have tried to do to get rid of the demo mode:
Wiping and factory reset from TWRP. About 1 minute after the phone has booted it autoinstalls the Demo Mode again. Before it does all functions is available etc, after the demo mode is installed some options and functions is disabled.
Rooted, Installed Xposed and module BootManager to stop Demo Mode from booting, no success the demo app still starts upon boot
Tried to uninstall the app with various root uninstallers, they just fail.
Tried wiping ALL partitions etc from TWRP and restored an original HTC One Mini 2 system dump from another thread, same thing. After about one minute the Demo application autoinstalls itself and some functions is diabled and the annoying demo mode starts now and then, and blinkfeed is full of sh*t, demo contacts etc.
After I reboot all settings etc is restored to it's original state.
Any ideas how I can force the phone not to install the demo mode after reset?
Thanks!
Update: Flashing the Cyanogenmod firmware from another thread does not install the demo mode and the phone works as it should. I can call etc. But I only have 3G not 4G, don't know if it has to do with the sim or not (borrowed a nano-sim from a collegues iPhone 5s).
But anyhow I would like to have the HTC firmware instead, any ideas?
Maybe someone has another system dump/ruu/firmware or any of the sort I can try. Perhaps the firmware I tried in the other thread also was a demo-firmware (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=55107684&postcount=6)

As you probably figured it was an app in the ROM so installing a custom ROM or reverting back to stock will get rid of the problem (as you've already done it)

Thank you for your answer. I have however tried to restore the original ROM and another original dump from this forum but the app installs itself anyway. Any idea where I can get another clean ROM or system dump?

I'd unlock it first on htcdev and then root and flash a custom recovery.
Then you'd either flash back to stock or flash a custom ROM.
I hope this helps

As stated in the OP I have already unlocked the bootloader and flashed a custom recovery. CyanogenMod works but very buggy build, and either way I would like to have the original ROM or something close to it (Sense). Unfortunately there are no custom roms for this phone yet (other then CM). I have only found one original TWRP dump that I tried but the demo mode installed itself on that dump as well. I don't know why it installed itself on the original rom from this forum... Thanks

Sorry, my bad.
My understanding is that this is an app so if it's not in the ROM then it cannot run.
There are a few other custom ROM but if you want stock follow this by the letter.

Download stock rim flashable via twrp and open it using WinZip or winrar goto system/etc/ and delete '.demo' folder. Then repack and flash, problem solved.
no need for reading the whole thread. in twrp mount preload and by using the twrp file manager navigate to /preload and delete everything you can find inside! do a factory reset and flashing "org" firmware should be done...

I was going to do same thing, but how do you repack ? I mean I packed it with WinRAR, or 7Zip, but they compress the file, or maybe they don't pack it as TWRP format, so TWRP didn't recognise my file. Simply, how do you pack it ?

Open the zip file that you want to flash with any zip manager you like, you don't need to extract the files, just navigate to the folder and delete the .demo folder and it will automatically repack it. Close it and copy it to your phone and flash normally. It will work.
Hello,
My device is running nougat with an unlocked bootloader, custom recovery and rooted.

Can someone point me where I am wrong?

how did you expect it to work if there is no bootanimation.zip in system\media ?
however rebooting is not good for the performance of your device just like killing background apps all the time and its not even battery friendly but have fun.

Hello, I am new to xda and I hope you can help me
I changed the bootsplash of my s10 with TWRP following this tutorial.
It works well as you can see in boot_aston.jpg. But after this screen I have another samsung one as you can see in boot_samsung.jpg.
Is it possible to edit or delete this screen ?
EDIT 1 : I decompressed the up_param tar to see what was inside and it seems that the samsung screen isn't in there...

there must be another place that you need to change the file the bootloader is looking for if its showing you 2 different pictures.

This is what I deduced too. But I'm totally a noob on the Android bootloader so I don't know where to look for that second image. I have already searched everywhere on XDA but no one seems to be talking about it ...
SOLUTION :
When rooted in a adb shell, delete the system/media/bootsamsung.qmg file.
Works perfectly for me

well, there ya go! i assume that by deleting the second image it no longer thinks it has 2 to display thereby making it just use that one the user wanted in the first place
In up_param.bin image.jpg and image svb_orange.jpg need be the same.
I have a feeling that's just the stock boot animation
