Thank you sir

Thanks was looking for that newer NBIMG version.. You also might wanna note that you are going to have to be on an engineering or modded hboot to flash a splash I believe.. even with s-off regular hboot won't allow it..

Just tried on an S-OFF, but regular hboot 1.44 and it keeps spitting out an error:
sending 'splash1' (4050 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.658s]
writing 'splash1'...
FAILED (remote: not allowed)
finished. total time: 0.696s
UPDATE: Actually... scratch that, I figured it out. It's possible without a modified hboot. Method I used wasn't like this at all.

I believe you can flash through fastboot oem rebootRUU. you need the img and the android-info,txt in a zip and placed in your adb/fastboot folder on your pc

Use the method in the OP and you need the android-info.txt file. Take the nb file and the android-info.txt and zip them up. put the zip in your adb/fastboot folder and run these commands from the bootloader. I included the android-info.txt.

The above graphic was made with the release version of Spla****!
Hello there, this is my first post in this bit of the forums as I don't regularly dive into this sort of project. I recently created a splash screen for HCDRJacob based upon the htc quietly brilliant screen and it gave me an idea, make a generator!
You can choose the resolution, the text and the colors.. The next version will have a hex input for the text color. The resulting .img file it spits out can be flashed through fastboot but that is not really related to this itself. The resulting files will be hosted for an unspecified amount of time (Ostebaronen is hosting it so I really don't know) so don't link directly to them.
Here are some examples of splashes made with the generator.

N00bish question here- when i flash it whatt exact data (and from where) does it replace. eg.bootloader/radio/bootimg
It will replace the very first splash screen you see . Take note also that you need fastboot in hboot of your phone.
You will need to have S-off, right?
hahha nice tool man
you can create very funny things with it
thanks!
Sweet Nice applications like this is always welcome to the scene.
"C:\SDK\tools>fastboot flash splash1 1296755019-flash.img
sending 'splash1' (750 KB)... OKAY [ 0.121s]
writing 'splash1'... INFOsignature checking...
FAILED (remote: signature verify fail)
finished. total time: 0.289s"
this is what i'm getting.... i think it may be because i have a nexus one...read that somewhrere...but yeah some insight?
Excellent thanks i make one to test, but...
sorry for noob question how can i put it on mi evo?
I see a how-to but with zip file, but this method launch img file.
roar109: This is a different splash, this is splash1, wheras the zip is the bootanimation.
IceNova: follow this link to root your nexus one, this should enable fastboot, http://theunlockr.com/2010/01/02/how-to-root-the-nexus-one/
diegov600: Yeah you need S-OFF for the fastboot flash splash1 command
Just wanted to say it worked great!!
Thanks for the awesome splash creator!
Now time to attempt some troubleshooting...

Now assuming you have root and all that, is your 1296755019-flash.img file in the same directory? Try renaming it to something a little smaller like splash.img, then once in the tools directory, just do "fastboot flash splash1 splash.img" That's exactly what I did and it worked first try for me. Hope you get it resolved.

Use fastboot method as explained aboved. Boot your phone into hboot mode (The screen that tells you your radio and that junk) then on your pc, navigate to your android sdk's tool folder using command line and follow the previously stated steps to fastboot flash the img file.
is there a way of flashing this using like root explorer, or using terminal emulator on the phone. im only asking because i dont always carry my usb cable with me and 90% of the time im using dropbox to transfer files to my phone and no need to always have the usb.
Not that I know of no, sorry.
Good job!
Trying this now and just downloaded my boot screen...super easy and kinda fun lol...now when i have more time gunna put it on the phone!
update: have more time now so putting it on the phone but...
having troubles : (...i have the .img file in the platform-tools folder with all the correct filepath etc...but the type "fastboot flash splash1 my#-flash.img" and get the following error:
"fastboot is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file."
sorry im new to all this hacking/software stuff...more of hardware fan myself lol
Lol thanks .
@ above: Fastboot is at C:\android-sdk-windows\tools by default.

The newest version...waiting on it to be updated.
Pretty sweet. Would be cool if you could do it without the quietly brilliant part.

You have to flash it in bootloader/FASTBOOT USB; rename file to rom.zip and place in your adb/fastboot folder.
Code:
[B][I]adb reboot bootloader[/I][/B]
After that, type:
Code:
[B][I]fastboot oem rebootRUU [/I][/B]
NOTE: You should see a silver HTC logo come up on your phone after executing this command.
NOTE: if this command freezes, just disconnect the USB cable and hold the power and volume down buttons until the device reboots. Then, repeat the steps above again.
Finally:
Code:
[B][I]fastboot flash zip rom.zip[/I][/B]
Repeat the same command: IMPORTANT
Code:
[B][I]fastboot flash zip rom.zip[/I][/B]
NOTE: The green bar on the phone may not go to 100% of the bar ... but If you see completed on your computer command window, wait for a few seconds and move on.
Last Step:
Code:
[B][I]fastboot reboot[/I][/B]

then you are not using a ruu intended for your phone. You can either change RUU or change your CID/MID. Are you sure what you are attempting to flash is for your phone? Dangerous to flash random things with s-off. Better to post the output of "fastboot getvar all" (except imei/sn) and also post a link to the ruu you are trying to flash so we can determine if this file is safe for your phone and what you need to do to flash it..

Glad you got it solved.
I had an issue getting the M preview installed as well. Kept failing when trying to
Code:
fastboot -w update image-shamu-MPZ44Q.zip
. Ended up wiping my internal storage and I was in a bit of a pickle so heres what I did: (you need to start off in bootloader mode)
1. Download twrp from HERE
2. Then go to where you downloaded the file and flash it (since I'm using Ubuntu it's in "Downloads")
Code:
cd Downloads && fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.8.5.0-shamu.img
3. When the recovery finishes flashing manually reboot to recovery from the device by pressing the volume up key then press power to select "Recovery"
4. In TWRP go to the "mount" section and make sure that "system" is selected if it isn't. Then reboot to bootloader (if you get the "No OS error" don't worry, just disregard and ignore the SU flash prompt.
5. Now that your system has been re mounted you can manually flash each file but incase you want a copy and paste here it is:
(also make sure you unzip the image-shamu-MPZ44Q.zip file to extract the image-shamu-MPZ44Q folder)
-1
Code:
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-shamu-moto-apq8084-71.11.img
-2 reboot bootloader
-3
Code:
fastboot flash radio radio-shamu-D4.01-9625-05.16+FSG-9625-02.94.img
-4 reboot bootloader
-5
Code:
cd image-shamu-MPZ44Q && fastboot flash system system.img && fastboot flash boot boot.img && fastboot flash cache cache.img && fastboot flash userdata userdata.img && fastboot flash recovery recovery.img && fastboot reboot
PROFIT!

relocked my M7 again and run the following commands

After that I looking for a similar version and find "7.18.206.21" which have 1.4 GB, I try to flash my M7 with this version, but that doesn't work too. (I get an other error)
I'm a Linux User, but have a Windows Notebook too. (If this will help)
I hope we can find a solution.

It's better to use Windows for Lollipop ruu's. You need a special version of fastboot to flash large zips. Unfortunately I don't know of a version for Linux although its also my preferred OS.
You can download htc_fastboot here. https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934550031 You can use it to flash the ruu using windows. Just drop it in your existing fastboot folder. Remember to specify it in your commands e.g
Code:
fastboot flash zip RUU.zip
becomes
Code:
htc_fastboot flash zip RUU.zip
You could also just use adb to push a rom to recovery. This will work with Windows or Linux. To do this download your chosen Rom, drop the zip file into your fastboot folder and rename it "rom.zip" Now with the phone booted to TWRP and connected with usb enter the following command in a terminal/cmd window.
Code:
adb push rom.zip /sdcard
The terminal window will appear unresponsive for several minutes while the push completes. When it's done go to the Install menu in twrp. Select the rom.zip and follow the installer instructions.
The first boot will also take several minutes. It will appear stuck at the HTC boot logo sometimes for nearly 20 mins just be patient it should boot to Android :good:

[ROM][STOCK] OOS International 9.0.6 Fastboot For Windows/Linux/Mac

Hey there everyone! Seeing as there's not a publicly released 9.0.6 Fastboot only ROM for the T-Mobile variant users, I've taken the liberty to package something up for you!
This tool includes the most recent fastboot for Windows, Linux, and Mac.
Please do not unzip the images.zip file, as it will be done by the tool automatically!
This tool can be used to correct a soft brick (as long as you can get into fastboot you can fix it!), as well as simply flash the International Variant to both the T-Mobile version, as well as the International model.
You must be in fastboot mode prior to running these scripts!
On Windows:
Simply unzip the zip and double click the windows-flash-all-partitions.bat file.
Wait for the images.zip file to finish extracting. (This requires powershell, if you don't have it, unzip the images.zip file to the images directory)
You will be prompted with the option to format your device. Type Y or y for Yes, N or n for No.
Fastboot will begin flashing the partitions for you!
Your device will reboot at the end.
On Linux:
Simply unzip the zip and then cd to the directory with your console.
Ensure you have the unzip command available. If you don't, for some reason, unzip the images.zip file to the images directory.
cd to the unzipped folder and run the following command: sudo ./linux-flash-all-partitions.sh
You will be prompted with the option to format your device. You can type the following: Y,y for Yes, N,n for no.
Fastboot will begin flashing the partitions for you!
Your device will reboot at the end!
For Mac Users: (Console/Terminal Use)
Simply unzip the zip and then cd to the directory with your console.
Ensure you have the unzip command available. If you don't, for some reason, unzip the images.zip file to the images directory.
Run the following command: sudo ./mac-flash-all-partitions.sh
You will be prompted with the option to format your device. You can type the following: Y,y for Yes, N,n for no.
Fastboot will begin flashing the partitions for you!
Your device will reboot at the end!
Upgrading from 9.0.5 should not require a data wipe, but your mileage may vary.
This does not touch any critical partitions, nor does it even try to.
While this should work for the International version as well, it does not flash any critical partitions.

Already done!
So can I follow this to flash 9.0.6 on my TMobile 9.0 version? I just received the unlock bin.

Have tmobile purchased phone. unlocked of course and already running 9.0.5 international rom with no issues.
I am rooted with magisk.
when updating from 9.0.5 to 9.0.6 do I need to do any prep work? Uninstall magisk first?
OR just do what's in the OP and choose not to wipe?

As long as you don't have any magisk modules that are known to bootloop when uninstalled (The Always on Display one will do this), you should be just fine! I was rooted with Magisk and upgraded to 9.0.6 without a wipe just fine.
Of course afterwards you will need to root again!

Yes. After you unlock your bootloader you can use this to flash 9.0.6 to your device. You will -need- to wipe, though. So when the question is prompted to format your device, type Y.

Windows 7 has powershell I believe. Try running the bat file. It's safe. It literally won't let you continue if the files don't exist.

Gimme 5. When I made a find/replace I accidentally deleted a part of each command! Sorry about that! I'll upload an updated bat here in a min for you.
Updated Tools attached to post.

Likely those files were not properly unzipped. Try extracting them directly from images.zip and putting them into the images directory.

How do I force the .bat file to load in powershell rather than cmd. I am on Windows 10 so I know I have powershell just not familiar with it. Second question, since I used the OnePlus one rooter before to install magisk can I use that again or do I have to do it the old fashioned way ? Thank you for putting this together by the way!
OP updated with a new copy of the files including the mac version and the fixes for the flashing files.

You don't need to! Just double click the .bat file. It simply runs the unzip command in powershell to avoid having to package anything else in the zip.
However, if you haven't grabbed the fixed bat file from the OP, please do so!
As for the OnePlus rooter, you can just use it again
