So I was watching a music video I pulled from YouTube on my phone. I realized the sound was only coming out of the bottom speaker.
My battery is at 6% so I was thinking maybe it was because my phone is close to dying. But I didn't have power saver on.
I go and play music to see if it's still doing it. The music plays out of both speakers. So I go back to the video, it's play out of both speakers after that.
Any idea what could be causing this?
Newest software, revone s-off, viperom, stock kernel.

No one had this happen yet?

I would say it's a temporary hiccup in your phone or else the umm video might have been shot in mono but who the f*** knows

Try another music video to determine if the video you were watching was recorded in stereo with a channel off which would be the reason it only played through one speaker... Send me a link to the video so I can see if it does the same thing on my phone.

Yeah, some YouTube videos are just... well... not in stereo. Made poorly.
But how come when I went back into the video it started playing through both and sounded much better?

Probably just a glitch with the phones software! I wouldn't worry about it

That's what I was thinking. Hopefully it doesn't keep happening.

Was hq off? Or was your connection slow?
Maybe to speed up buffering the audio was streamed in mono.
Yeah but don't worry about it.

I doubt it was a slow connection.
I hope it doesn't happen again.

I have the same issue, seems like a system wide bug as I have duplicated it on videos and others things, reloading the app seems to work
7.2.1 has some fixes of dropping sound issues as i was told by support.
PS Its very sad that first kindle also had sound issues.
Anyone else get a weird hissing when playing back video? Also on music or YouTube etc do you get the occasional popping

I have the hissing when playing streamed video. But not when playing music on my phone. I also have random poppings when using the device.
Which is your favorite music player I'm rocking Play Music I've used Cube before any recommendations.

Poweramp and poweramp only. Although I've been playing around with voice commands in the stock music player - not bad. But not good enough to make me switch over from poweramp.
Poweramp. Hands down

Poweramp all the way. Been using for over a year and no complaints.

I use Music Folder Player - Simple, efficient with screen space, no unneeded chrome. I've got no complaints.
Only thing I wish it could do is play off an SMB share without mounting the share, with appropriate buffer sizing for playing over a network (doing it by rooting and mounting the share has skipping issues if network conditions aren't perfect... And it requires root - which i have now, but didn't have on my last phone)

Hi all...just like the title says, I can listen to music through my Bluetooth car stereo, but notifications don't play over the Bluetooth...I know its not a setting on my stereo because it worked fine with my galaxy s3....im running viper rom, s-off etc....I liked before when I had the galaxy s3 because it would lower the music volume just a little when receiving a message....any ideas? or can it not be done with this phone?
Bump.

Weird. I get laggy buffering issues when I'm connected to WiFi. Whether I'm at home or at work.. as soon as I jump back on LTE, it works fine.
Is there something I can check in my settings?
