Hey, i think there will be no update for tegra 3 xD Because other tegra 3 devices runs great, just O4X has problems with some 3D apps like real racing, blitz brigade, N.O.V.A 3.... on other devices like one X, nexus 7 with tegra 3 it runs smooth on O4X doesnt ...

What?
Please read in other Forums first! On HOX and N7 there are also Lags in RR3 (not so often but they already there)!

Tegra 3 games on 2x

What do you think? Will those games run on tegra 2 at acceptable framerate? For transformer prime its 1024000 pixels vs 384000 for 2X. Maybe option to lower graphic settings.. if not i think it would be stupid move from nvidia and developers to throw away tegra 2 owners..

I'm pretty sure Tegra 2 will be able to run Tegra 3 games, and hopefully someone will hack them to run ot T2 (chainfire?).There is still plenty of juice in Tegra 2, and i didn't see it's full potential (Only Shadowgun is serious, but i don't think it fully utilitizes 2 cores).
Yup few days ago ive tried to run it underclocked at 615mhz silky smooth.

Sorry for double posts, but we could chainfire?

My guess is that tegra 2 would run anything tegra 3 polygon wise, but with reduced shaders quality/lightning/shadows.

Dead trigger can be played with full effects on our phones even tho it was a t3 req for highest quality setting in game...and it can run nova 3 also with full effects and i read somewhere that they got sonic4 running and thats a t3 exclusive

As it is possible to use tegra games on non tegra devices it shoud work.

Nova 3 lags like hell with full effects. T3 version of sonic was lagging too on t2. Sonic 4 is not t3 exlusive anymore.

There are some modificated apk's for all devices on the net with instructions. Search for it.

yeah but it seems that only tegra 2 tablets can run it, I tried with my phone and it only shows black screen
Sent from my Optimus 2X using XDA
there is a modded version by NOPS that works with supposedly all devices. And it runs on my Tegra 2 Galaxy Tab 10.1v . But in some scenarios it is a bit sluggish!

[Q] can anyone tell me??

Is our processor that bad when compared to Tegra 2 ?:sly:
Because I played subway surfer and I can tell u that my incredible s can't play the game as smooth and fast and responsive as the atrix for example (Tegra 2 device)
I even overclocked my cpu to 1.8 but still there is a drop of frames per second and the game lags like hell
The atrix run the game so smoothly even if it's not clocked at 1 GHz (not over clocked)
I am so disappointed in my device
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using xda app-developers app
Tegra is dual core, ours is single core. Ours is also a year older than the tegra. There's no nothing to be disappointed in because our phone is nearly 2 years old, and our processor 2 and a half years

i played subway surfer before but i never feel lag. FYI i play this game at stock speed.

Stock clock speed?? Wtf??
Could u please tell me which ROM u r using and which kernel??

For games try hunterwu kernels. I think, extreme overclocking (1.8) is bad idea. Our processor can work normaly 1-1.4 GHz.

I'D say it will Be Fixed By 0.2 For Easier Install
If all the current games are lag free in Nexus 4 then why would someone try to boost the performance

Micro lag? Hmmmmmm no lag here. Just make sure you don't have a bunch of stuff running on the background and as long as the game is coded well I don't see any lag..
MW3 plays awesome on this device.. batman plays awesome..GTA paid awesome. What games are causing you lag?

I guess you haven't really played some of the top games available. The Nexus 4 clearly lags in games such as Vice city, Modern combat 4 and other exclusive 3d titles.

Tested on a Fresh Install of PA (25th Feb) with Franco r96
Pre Mod
Quadrant 2D = 254
Quadrant 3D = 1977
Post Mod
Quadrant 2D = 333
Quadrant 3D = 2199
That's a single run each time, so take from that what you will...
Edit: That was quadrant doing it's usual up and down thing. Did some research in to this, and at least in PA and CM10.1, there is no adreno_config.txt located within the rom, and no way to make the os look for it, as far as I can tell.

Could you test on antutu because where the performance difference is
You could've asked before opening another thread about a resource that wasn't yours... But nvm... ><
An FYI to everyone, this is currently only supported on Gingerbread. It will NOT work on the Nexus 4 which runs JellyBean.

Gangstar Vegas

Does anyone know how I can avoid lag? My phone normally runs between 30-60 fps doing normal activities but when I play gangstar vegas it can vary between 1-15fps, and only when it it plays a video (in the game) does it creep up to about 20. Running official cm10.1.3 with iodak kernel GPU oc to 520

The GL Optimizer dont like our Tegra 3 GPU and CPU, so they dont optimize their games for our Tegra. So it runs badly, like laggs, only 1 Core online etc.
Look to Samsung Galaxy, they optimize their Games for Exynos (Processor of Samsung Devices) it runs good or even perfect. (+30Fps)

Their latest games seem to run ok, gt racing 2 and Thor, however I think they're much too lazy to do this for their older stuff any time soon
